Doc Democracy
OK. So I'm going to buy Thrilling Places. Is it most practical in pdf or hardcopy? I was wondering whether the PDF might better allow for stuff to be printed and incorporated into handouts etc?? Any opinions? Doc PS: the fact that buying the pdf would release more money to buy a few penny dreadfuls has nothing to do with it...
ghost-angel
Re: Thrilling Places The maps are copied in the back of the book, making photocopying easier. But not as easy as simply printing the pertinant pages from a PDF.

Doc Democracy
Re: Thrilling Places Hardcopy heh! A man of few words. I have never bought pdf over hardcopy before but, for certain things I can see an advantage to having the text flexible rather than hardbound. I can also see an advantage of not further contributing to my bulging storage spaces... Doc
Lord Liaden
Re: Thrilling Places I actually like PDF for books that are collections of discreet elements, like this one. It's easier to locate and if necessary extract the parts that I'm interested in at a given time. For something that I want to be able to use all of at one time, like a rulebook, hardcopy is my preference. Mind you, I prefer to own a hardcopy of everything when such is available, but if other factors such as price were involved then the distinction above would weigh in my decision. Me either, but I've bought several in addition to hardcopies. I like books, I want books, but soemtimes it's nice to also have an electronic copy that I can carry in a PDA or on a thumb-drive.
