proditor
(Also posted to Champions cuz SuperApes are just totally genre) For real-real, not for play-play. You'd have to be some sort of soul-less automaton not to get jazzed over these suckers. http://www.miniaturemarket.com/karmans
BobGreenwade
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) I can really go ape for these.
Egyptoid
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) I wanted apes in armor, but went for the Critter Commandos the AT43 ones are too much armor, not enough gorilla, for me.
incrdbil
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) They even have cigar-smoking apes. I play against someone who uses Karmans--just on appearance alone, it makes a fun game. The UNA forces or Red Blok would make great agent type miniatures, and if you ever wanted to do a funky alien invasion, the Therians would be useful as well. Curufea
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) How many in a unit box?
incrdbil
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) Depends on the Units, actually. Some special heavy weapons types are just 2-3 to a box (but are usually bigger), other units come 6 to 8 to a box.
Spence
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) Cool. They are 28mm right?
G_K_Zhukov
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) Cool. They are 28mm right? Human figures are more on the 33mm range, up to eye-level... (Link) Those Karmans must be huge.
Spence
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) Talk about scale creep *caution illogical rant follows* [illogical rant] And by the way, on an unrelated note. That is not a Mobile Infantry Cap Trooper. Mobile Infantry are power armor troopers capable of orbital insertion, not wankers in thier underoos.... [/illogical rant] PS thanks for the pic
incrdbil
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) The way the miniatures hobby goes..I don't you can at best say something is 28'ish'. Of course, knock them down to flatter bases....

That's a perfectly logical rant.

Narratio
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) Yep, Susano got that right again. Perfectly logical rant Spence, please feel free to do it again. Slag off the movie while you're at it, I need the head nodding neck exercise. The apes are a bit too much cyborg though. For Pulp I'd prefer more ape, less armour and carrying generic 20-30's weapons, Thompson submachine guns perhaps.
Old Man
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) I liked the movie, mostly because it had nothing to do with the book. It did kind of adopt too many plot points from Aliens though.
Narratio
Re: Apes in Power Armor (Miniatures from AT-43) http://www.teamfrog.com/tfsccgr01.jpg Team Frog have a great range of "Critter Commando's" suitable for any crazed scientists animal army. I rather like thier gun toting apes. Not too sure about thier ducks and penguins though.
