blackkatt
Anyone have any neat ideas for a boomerang-based character? I know I can do an energy blast based on strength for the base attack, but, want something more interesting than just this. Any thoughts? Daltwisney
Re: Boomerang Attach a line to it, circle it around your opponent a few times before it returns to you, and you have an Entangle.
Rapier
Re: Boomerang Indirect, naturally. x2 KB (trip). Explode-erangs (more appropriately named BOOM!erangs) Gas-erang NNDs Slow-erangs (SPD Drain) KO Gas-erangs (Mental Blast) Acid-erang (Drain/Suppress DEF) Flash-erang (both sight and sound, Flash-Bang-erang) Bee-erang (Summon Swarm of Bees) Smoke-erang (Darkness) I'm running dry now. Nevelon
Re: Boomerang A little TK if you want to be able to use it to trip levers. Hit someone on the return? Indirect. Bounce off of multiple people? autofire. (also good for throwing a few at once)
mallet
Re: Boomerang Sticky-rang: Also uses TK or Grab(with range) if you want to a boomerang to "grab" something and bring it back to you.

Hyper-Man
Re: Boomerang Weapon master characters are all very similar. Why not lift some ideas from one of the originals? Green Arrow
Greywind
Re: Boomerang Weapon master characters are all very similar. Why not lift some ideas from one of the originals? Green Arrow Shouldn't that be Marvel's Boomerang or DC's Captain Boomerang?
Lord Liaden
Re: Boomerang How about a boomerang that splits into multiple "blades" in-flight? (Autofire) Or knocking opponents' attacks out of the air with a well-placed boomerang interception (Missile Deflection). Movement capability could be Flight via several boomerangs attached to his costume spinning like propellors.
Hyper-Man
Re: Boomerang Shouldn't that be Marvel's Boomerang or DC's Captain Boomerang? Just because they don't actually use a bow doesn't change the fact that their trick boomerangs are not much different than Green Arrow's various trick arrows (mechanically speaking). Plus, I'm pretty sure GA is the older character as well.
blackkatt
Re: Boomerang Thanks. I know all about Boomerang and Captain Boomerang. Wanted neat things to do without resorting to trick gadgets, but I love the idea of it splitting into blades for autofire or AoE. That's kinda neat. Thanks everyone. Matt the Bruins
Re: Boomerang Maybe buy a Dispel with Variable Effect (Only works against powers bought with a technology-based Focus) to model breaking an opponent's weapon or gear with a well-aimed boomerang throw?
