Enforcer84
Re: Despero (5e, 1700 pts, no pants) PC Mongul was a more devious villain' date=' and also sufficiently powerful to stalemate or even best PC Superman. His version of Warworld was more like a frackin' Death Star. And he was in one of the few Alan Moore stories I didn't hate, "For the Man Who Has Everything".[/quote'] Ok I remember that story. Didn't know it was Pre Crisis.
megaplayboy
Re: Despero (5e, 1700 pts, no pants) Ok I remember that story. Didn't know it was Pre Crisis. He also unleashed a Sun Eater, stalemated the combined might of the JLA and the LSH, and the one time Superman beat him physically, he passed out immediately afterwards. Plus the original was created by Len Wein and Jim Starlin(which, I suppose, helps explain the strong similarities with Thanos, although the big M was all about conquest, rather than death). Matt the Bruins
Re: Despero (5e, 1700 pts, no pants) There really aren't enough bricks with higher ED than PD.... I might look into that. I suppose equal PD/ED and Energy-only Resistant Damage Reduction would achieve the same effect, but he's already so powerful I'd hesistate to add Damage Reduction to the mix. (One of my gripes about a few of the 6th edition master villain write-ups is stacking EVERY defensive power onto them, as if there were a checklist that had to be filled.) Narratio
Re: Despero (5e, 1700 pts, no pants) Pants or no pants' date=' DC has only a brief list of world-threatening master villains (particularly compared to Marvel), so I welcome every one that adds variety.[/quote']What? Come now, surely it behooves every world threatening master villain to be suitable attired? And a hat! I think a world threatening master villain just doesn't look properly attired without a hat. I'm sure that's why Sinestro gets no respect...
