Matt the Bruins
Re: CU Hero-vs.-Hero Scenarios I'd rather imagine that UNTIL and various other superhuman resources might choose to work with the U.S. against Dr. Destroyer, rather than the reverse. There was also that short-lived pre-New 52 period where Supes planned on giving up US citizenship so he could do just that. And we shall never speak of it again. Ptuii! Lord Liaden
Re: CU Hero-vs.-Hero Scenarios OTOH given the current world situation, it wouldn't be that hard for a master villain to stir up tensions between the United States and, say, China or Russia, which would cause each government to send in their own superheroes to deal with it. There's also variations on the classic Ice Station Zebra scenario: a top-secret military satellite, wayward missile or aircraft prototype, or alien spacecraft, crashes into the Arctic ice pack in international waters, and American and Russian government supers race each other to retrieve it. Heck, throw in Canadian superheroes while you're at it -- we value our Arctic sovereignty.

Cassandra
Re: CU Hero-vs.-Hero Scenarios I remember the movie The President's Analyst where James Coburn is kidnapped by Canadian spies. Heck, throw in Canadian superheroes while you're at it -- we value our Arctic sovereignty. I have actually run that. My group were the Canadian heros that intercepted the american and Russian teams. They actually watched a bit before going in and taking out both groups and taking the satellite. Then Russia had to politely ask for it back. One member stayed behind to tell both "visiting" teams that they cold quietly leave!
