Cassandra
What are your character/campaign limits? For example, I build on a 60 Maximum Active Points, 250 Points Maximum Character using 5th Edition Rules.
Greywind
Starting characters are 350 points, FrEd, AP and Def caps vary depending on my mood and the expectations of the game intended and the players expected to participate. Generally they are anywhere between 40-60 AP and Def around 20. After the game starts characters can break the caps so long as it fits with the character's concept. Cancer
The three campaigns I can recall numbers ... one had Cassandra's numbers in her lead post. One was 400 and 90, IIRC, plus a kicker of 100 points that had to go into base, vehicle, or sidekick (I did both vehicle and sidekick). The last one I ran was much, much lower-powered, not much out of the skilled normal range ... 100 points total IIRC, and 20 or 25 AP max. (I built all powers and characters in that; this was a short campaign I ran for my kids.)
Sketchpad
The last campaign I ran, I used 350/75 with 75 AP max for starting powers and 15- for skills.
Cassandra
If Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman was 350 Points, would Supergirl, Robin, and Wonder Girl be 250 Points?
Greywind
All of them would be built as experienced characters and take as many points as it took to reasonably build them.
bluesguy
In my Champions game I posted the following on our Obsidian Portal campaign site http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/north-star-heroes/wikis/character-creation
drunkonduty
I usually go for 350pts, 60AP (5th Ed). I will allow 75-90AP for a signature power but I expect the PC to have some sort of glaring weakness for me to exploit in these cases. Actually, given the extra points spent on the signature power, one can pretty much guarantee a weakness somewhere.
psyber624
400 pt, 60 AP cap 6e. Some exceptions may be made to the AP cap for an experienced group (i have toyed with several different ways of running "signature powers" but so far only tested one of them).
