She kept no memories about it, Odin and the Enchantress themselves having decided to erase her memories, as her mother wished her daughter to know the Human world. She was adopted by the Bowman family, which were farmers in the Nevada, and spent her childhood and teenage in a smalltown in the desert. During all those long years, Amanda grew up ignoring everything of her origins. Gifted by the nature, she decided to do art studies, following her father path without knowing it, and left her adoption family for New York where she became quite easily a photo model. The fashion world been what it is, she was confronted to the mighties and the richs, but to the corruption of the underworld too. During one of those nights, she got caught in a trap and could have been sold into white women slaver ring if the SHIELD didn't rescued her. They were on the hint of a large ring that financed part of some Villains activities. Happily, some brilliant minds in the Governmental organization noticed there was something special in her and made her do some tests... That's how they discovered she has the Steve Roger DNA, and that the super-soldier serum was latent in her genome. After long explanations, she agreed to work with them, and so the training and the tests continued. After long months of intense training, she had reach the goals her trainers wanted her to. They told her about the known part of her origins... The schock was only overhelm by the pride to be the daughter of the American symbol of Freedom. She decided then to pick up the costume, and as Sharon Carter, the first American Dream did before her, she became the new symbol of America. The Legend raised from ashes ... She soon integrated the Avengers as a reservist, and started to have strange dreams, which are slowly revealing herself her true Nature and origins. Personnality/Motivations : Cheerful and sensitive, Amanda is an helper. Her life has no sense if she doesn't have people to help, to protect. Not really naive about how her striking beauty influences people, she can be quite embarassed when people show her they "like what they see". Quote: Look at me when i'm telling you your rights guys.... Jesus.... look at my eyes, upper ! Powers/Tactics: Trained by SHIELD in the use of the disks and the famous Vibranium Shield, Amanda usually surprises her foes by combining an athletic combative mind and a power that comes from her mother. Able to think when others are enraged in the fury of battle, waiting for her foes to do the mistake that will cost them their victory, Amanda is not the most powerful of the Avengers, she knows it; but she is the wild card. Campaign use: It was originally built to play the Hero Cetral New Avengers campaign Appearance: Been the daughter of Steve Rogers and Amora, aka the Enchantress, Amanda looks like what she is : a blonde half asgardian goddess, which means she surnaturally beautiful, her beauty enhanced by the enchantments her Mother used to spell on herself to increase her sex-appeal. Now this magic oozes literally from Amanda body, making her one of the hottest superheroine in the world. Her stunning finely muscled body, in perfect condition, adding both abilities of the super-soldier serum and the Asgardian blood, her curled blonde hair, her deep blue eyes : she is for sure, the American Dream.
  4. I found back a very simple build of a character that I created years ago to participate to a hero central campaign. I ahve the feeling the character is a bit too much "simple" and classical. I'd welcome any idea to give it a renewal.
  5. Re: New Protectors Rising! (Bay City Campaign idea) *tosses marshmallows at Hermit, for courage*
  6. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Well try wearing a thong, and you will understand this quote better *winks*
  7. Re: New Protectors Rising! (Bay City Campaign idea) Hoping I will be part of the story , I'll not decide for you
  8. Re: Help me Populate a Cirque de Hero! What about adding an intelligent cynix animal of some kind, say like... the Palindromedary ? *winks*
  9. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... "Yuck ! My spandex thong is raping me !"... --------------- Told by a very prude superheroine when trying on her new designed sexy skimpy costume... I facepalmed and was hilarious for near 20 minutes, forcing us to stop the game.
  10. Re: If I wind up in a comic book . . . ... I'd be quite happy to keep an eternal slender figure ! Afterall, never saw a reccurent female character tht was not athletic in comics books
  11. Re: New Protectors Rising! (Bay City Campaign idea) No Wildstrike, no Proprietor War then ? Do you keep some details in Bay City like the ORI or the Pit ? I modernized aswell some NPCs, like Speedster and ShadowBeast, and the Scions of Caine from the C:NM settings are pretty deeply involved int the troubles of BC. You might like take a look at them, tough they need some work to refresh their stats. As for the Masters of Fortune ... well in MY campaign, they are THE villain team in the center of the story, so I'll avoid speaking about them too much but there is a thing I kept like it was described, even if I thought at first it was a difficult thing : Crimson Archer and Whitestar are brutal casual killers. Tungarak & Hummingbird are more "adventurous" mind that could be persuaded to become good guys... Cateran is the mighty leader of this splitted team. This has an interest, in making the villains team unpredictable. Just IMHO. Sometimes, a villain doesn't need a mastermind plan toact. Sometimes, having just evil villain is fun. And as they are killers, PCs tends to jump on investigation pretty quickly. That's what I noticed. For Black Paladin thing : well I kinda mixed the C:NM one and the one described in the Shades of Black scenario; making one the heir of the old one, which lead to an interesting conflict... My players put a moment to realize there was something special about it. And it involved the Master of Fortune of course because of their links with the "new" Black Paladin. (yeah, I like complex, intricated stories and relationships between my NPCs ) Final word to say, one of the most interesting thing in the C:NM setting, is that the PCs ARE the actual new heroes, as every other old heroes are dead in the Proprietor war. It makes them play in the center of all attention, every camera turned at them. But I'm curious to know more about your settings, been curious like a cat as always
  12. Re: New Protectors Rising! (Bay City Campaign idea) Question then : when do we start a pbem game ? All good to me, more would be overwhelming for an average player brain.
  13. Re: Help me Populate a Cirque de Hero! The Fire breather : a person who breathe fire, using a torch and manipulate it. Making an interesting blaster of some kind The Sword-Eater : a brick or stretching hero of some kind, able to resist to damages The Knife thrower : another kind of blaster, or you could add fencing abilities too, making it a martial artist kind The illusionist : Able to create illusions and decoy, with summoning abilities maybe ? The Iron Mask : a strong dude, with a iron mak, and locomotive like brick powers, high strength, toughness, bad attitude and a move trough brick trick The Serpent Mistress : with a big dangerous python reptile, and the ability to control serpents And maybe an awakeend sentient intelligent animal like a gorilla, or else.. possibilities are infinite..
  14. Re: Museum Break In Brick House will prolly first ask to see the "crime scene" hoping to find the books used to take notes opened on the table where the two figures where. To know what exact subject it is about. Then she'll try to know if some kind of sect or occult group hide informations in the museum, been a bit paranoid about magic, that she doesn't understand at all. Finally, she'll check if any other intrusion of occult crime have been comitted during the past months, all over in the USA first, then maybe the world... a long investigation to come.
  15. Re: New Protectors Rising! (Bay City Campaign idea) Well I actually use the total setting of Bay City and C:NM. And I use the San Angelo, Millenium city, and Viboray Bay settings too, in a mix of my own. Except that the only Champions remaining are played by my players, as the Offical ones of C:NM. i.e. Quantum, Solitaire, Behemoth, Seeker, Defender, plus The New Hunter, FistFire and a new one called Impulse.
  16. Re: The Sensational She-Hulk I totally love those High Powered samples of known characters. Personnally, if I didn't have so XP greedy Players, I'd rules and master a campaign with such characters, meaning the xps would be nearly absent. Except maybe for some skill improve or new rare power gain. With your permission, I'll maybe use some of those buildings in my campaign, with some adjustments. For exemple, in my C:NM campaign, players tend to see Grond as an easy catch. And when you look at his sheet it's pretty normal finally. But using one of your Hulk build and adding two arms and few things could do it *winks*
  17. Re: New Protectors Rising! (Bay City Campaign idea) It reminds me alot of Champions : the New Millenium, which is the setting I'm gamemastering
  18. Re: The Incredible Hulk I read it all, and once again it teaches me things. Now, now, been just me, How about building versions of Miss Hulk ? Afterall she's tightly linked to her cousin ^^
  19. Re: A not so evil Master(Mistres?)mind... Thanks for the thoughts and ideas Christopher, very interesting way to set it up. I'll try and build this during weekend. @Balabanto : Mistress Mime ? as for the name of the character ? or for an humouristic reason i don't get ?
  20. Re: A not so evil Master(Mistres?)mind... *facepalms*
  21. Re: Would your Hero endorse a polititian? Brick House : she would milite for the minority rights, been herself prolly hassled by the puritans press and guys...
  22. Re: Fading Stars...when and why should superheroes retire? - You quit before with time, your powers are fading or failing to work properly for various reasons - you retire because you "have seen enough, done enough, and it's not your time, your World anymore. You can feel it in your guts.. " - You want a normal life after all what you did. you deserve it; You're now cynic and bitter; Let this mad world to the new generation, but if someone try to annoy you when you retire, then the Hero may leave your inner self and let's become a Vigilante instead - You disappear : by your own choice, to protect someone, by kidnapping, because your power transported you elsewhere, to find a secret.. and so on... You enter the legend and some might investigate on your disappearance..
  23. Re: A not so evil Master(Mistres?)mind... Nope, I'm all vanilla.
  24. Re: A not so evil Master(Mistres?)mind... I don't mind been ridiculous ^^ But I would like an explanation on what do you mean by "quietly dirty" ????
  25. Re: A not so evil Master(Mistres?)mind... Oh ! I do Cheat during game behind the screen, but I avoid cheating by making the NPCs tougher than they are; I tend more to save PCs from themselves in fact. Tough I keep the 5D6 luck in mind too, but to make it "5d6 Luck, usable against other, limited effects to save PCs"...
