I haven't gamed since last June, and I'm going into withdrawals.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
I wish I was going to Dundracon this weekend.
Or any other gaming convention, for that matter.

Re: journal of a hero
This is a great way to develop a characters background. I'm enjoying it a lot.
I've noticed that all of you from RDU Neil's group (you, Storn, Neil) have a real talent for writing up your characters and adventures. I've found everything you guys have posted to be great reading.

Re: I'm so proud of my newbies
Good for you. It sounds as if you've got a group of players who grasp the genre. That's not always the case. Sounds like you all have plenty of good gaming ahead.

Re: Superhero Images
Great characters Richard. Very, very "Avengersish", but still original. A blend of golden age, villains gone good, and surviving Immortals. I like the character pic, as well; both Ian's artwork and the costume designs (which I'm assuming are yours?). Very nice team. Would it be possible to see the char sheets on the team, or are they an ancient family secret?

;_;but owl, the noises you make are cute! hence the giggling!!!
and you don't SNORE...you make cute little noises in your sleep, but its not SNORING...ladies don't snore. ^_~
*super snuggles* there ARE times when people giggle at your cuteness, not to make fun of you, but because of the joy and happiness you bring into their lives.
so there.
Please...I'm diabetic...!
Now, now Dr. A. Would you rather have an all-out flamewar instead?

Re: Supervillain Images
Who is the guy she's attempting to touch? (poor bastard)At first I thought he was to be a generic agent (possibly VIPER). Looking at him now, he seems more muscular than the average agent mook. There's also that mask he's wearing. Not the usual agent equipment. I think that anyone's guess as to his ID is as good as mine.
Anyone want to come up with a name and abilities for him?

Re: Supervillain Images
(Redmenace is) working on a female villain from one of my other groups (after he gets done working on his mini-mod for Proditors Champs mini-modding contest). I'll post her when he's done with her.Well, here she is. Her codename is Medusala and she's a member of my first villain group: The Sinister Squadron. She is a Mentalist/Martial Artist. Her psionic powers are a "mental paralysis" if she makes eye contact with her target; and a "stone touch" with no range. This pic was drawn and colored by redmenace.

Re: HERO 5th Revised
Is that why I still have 2 copies of FREd' date=' a copy of Sidekick, and a copy of 5ER?[/quote']I guess that your either an "ultra-completist", or your group's librarian.
-
Re: HERO 5th Revised
The revision is definitely worth getting. As far as the cost, do what I did. Sell your copy of FREd to one of your players who doesn't have it. You can recoop at least some of the cost. That is unless you're a completist, and then I guess you'd have to keep both.

Re: DEMON Adventures
I just downloaded your adventure, and took a quick gander at it. Didn't read it all, but I like what I saw. I really liked the visual aids. Being visually-minded, I always like to see what I'm reading about.
I'm always looking for adventures to add to my collection. I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the adventure, if you didn't mind posting it.

Re: First Blood -- Impressions
...However' date=' there are still a good many copies floating around through distribution and retail; it's not as if it's completely vanished...[/quote']As Steve said earlier, there are copies of UMA available out there. I looked through the HERO Games On-line retailers list, and all of these sites still had UMA for sale. Prices vary.

Re: Your favorite HERO System/Rules Contributor
I'd have to say that a tip of the hat is due for our illustrious "leader", Mr. Long. He is, after all, the primary HERO System/Rules Contributor. He did put together the whole thing (with a little bit of help from HEROphiles everywhere ).
I appreciate the fact the Steve finds the time, while still putting out consistent, high-quality work, to answer rules questions here on the boards. Even if it's just a reference to a book. He still finds a few seconds for us folks.
Thanks Steve.

Re: The cranky thread
Yes, I had a character accepted, but the game never happened. I've considered trying to get into a game at HERO Central, but 2 things are stopping me. One is that I don't necessarily have enough confidence in my writing skills. The other is that I've looked for some type of writeup on form, etiquette, etc. on PBEM. I'd like some kind of guideline or outline on how the whole thing works. I don't want to go in with a bunch of veterans, and then stumble and fall on my face. If anyone can direct me to something like this, I'd appreciate it.
