My Power Armor super scientist fighter ace billionaire industrialist, Cyberknight has been using this construct for almost 10 years; Computer: VPP (Gadget Pool), 10 base + 8 control cost, Powers Can Be Changed As A Zero-Phase Action (+1), No Skill Roll Required (+1) (25 Active Points); Limited Special Effect Very Common SFX (Computer enhancement and database powers; -1/4); all slots OIF (-1/2) He also has 56 points in skills of which only 6 are combat skill levels and a 23 INT. I have not had Trebuchet, Blackjack, or El Tripon, all of whom have GMed Cyberknight in our campaign express any concern about abuse or imbalance of this construct. The PC has 392 XP in a 350 point base game, thus 42 XP. Your campaign might be different but we have a high level of trust and cooperation and a really high standard of roleplaying with both players and GMs, thus potential abuse from either side is never the reason to disallow an ability, only to clarify it in the context of the character concept, special effect and appropriateness to the campaign.

He responded to your post politely and in what I saw as the spirit of the thread. My praise of his innovation was precisely that in the context of his many detailed gaming posts on the Hero boards Killer Shrike has demonstrated that he does very much love the Hero System. There was certainly no intent to contradict or dis you, Wildcat. I'm sorry if I came accross that way.
