  3. Re: The cranky thread Sorry to hear that, Chad. My uncle had a lung cancer scare recently. The doctor told him it was too early to worry about that, but he may have COPD. Right now it's wait and see.
  4. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Zenda
  5. Re: A Thread for Random Videos Usually just mustard and relish for me. No, I don't care if you put ketchup on your hotdog. I'm just poking fun at the folks who get all huffy at that sort of thing. But adding mayo is a hanging offense, IMHO. Sorry for derailing the thread.
  6. Re: Quote of the Week From My Life. Overheard on Election Day: "Paul Ryan looks like Mr. Bean." "James Carville looks like the Red Skull." NSFW:
  7. Re: Complicate the Person Above Cancer once ran a marathon in 234.87 picoseconds.

  10. Re: "Neat" Pictures Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Manuscript Style
  11. Re: "Neat" Pictures Yes, but I don't follow that thread.
  12. Re: A Thread for Random Videos Ketchup on a hotdog? Really!
  13. Re: Quote of the Week From My Life. "You're in luck... you get to take a test now!" If looks could kill, I wouldn't be around to post this.

  15. Re: The cranky thread I hope he's okay.
  16. Re: Future Guns: Projectile Obsolete? Some rpgs have their share of projectile weapons. Shadowrun uses them, since it's a near-future setting despite its fantasy trappings. Traveller always had them, even though there were a couple of lasers as well. Star Frontiers had some, mainly gyrojets and needlers, although they had automatic weapons as well. Pity railguns aren't included in more games. They rock!
  17. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Congratulations, MisterVimes!
  18. Re: The Non Sequitor Thread Why is it that everyone likes to talk about Occam's razor, but there's never any mention about his after-shave?
  19. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore I'm happy with just cheese sauce on nachos. The rest is nice, but optional.
  20. Re: Under the Agony Star: a sword and planet campaign Thanks, Burrito Boy. I started reading it a while ago, but I haven't finished it yet. Maybe when I have more time.
  21. Re: Future Guns: Projectile Obsolete? I have the Traveller 2300 rules, and I've been rereading them. I decided to swipe those guns for my campaign a long time ago.
  22. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares One State, Two States Red State, Blue State
  23. Re: Future Guns: Projectile Obsolete? My sci-fi campaign uses projectile weapons rather than beam weapons, both in starship combat and personal combat. I am aware of the military's experiments with lasers, but I decided they were too cliche for my tastes, which is why I dropped them.

  25. Re: A Thread for Random Videos In the '80s to the early '90s there was a series of coffee commercials done soap opera style. The coffee was Nescafe Gold Blend (Taster's Choice in the USA). The woman in the commercials is Sharon Maughan. The man is most likely more familiar to people in these boards. See if you recognize him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meJDrMW6mns
