  1. Re: Mediaverse I just read this in the comic books' thread:
  2. What do you think of the upcoming Sky High movie? Inspiration for Teen Champions maybe?
  3. I know the thread title sucks, but I couldn't come up with something better. I saw the JLA epsiode Legends some time ago, and I became "inspired" to come up with something similar (in other words a homage) in Champions Universe. After browsing thru the majority of my Champion books I decided to quite my search, and instead create the homage myself. A few days later I was looking in the Champions Universe book - looking for something completly different - and then it struck me, the homage potential had been there all the time... The Mediaverse In the Champions Universe there are several TV shows and comics. Unknown to it's viewers/readers, these aren't just fantasies. Each "media item" has its own universe. Some examples are: To Save The World: This mediaverse is a homage to all the four color super comics, and thus to the JLA episode Legends. I've started out with the stats for the main characters, based on what's given for them (or there look alikes) in the Champions Battlegrounds adventure. I've also changed the name of the mediaverse to Omegaverse (after the superhero team). The villains have created a supervillain group (or rather a loose network) called Adversaries Unlimited. Walking Gods: This mediaverse is a homage to the RPG Aberrant (and probably Adventure and Trinity to). I haven't done much to it yet, but I have plans. CU-2: This the mediaverse created by the Champions magazine. It's sort of like a "what if"-setting. There are several minor changes to the official CU setting, but not enough to remove the sense of familiarity. What do you think about this?

  5. Re: Seventh Sanctum Be strong! Be strong!
  6. Re: TE Champions Maybe I shall take a look at my old Aeon (I own the first version of Trinity) book, and hopefully I might get some inspiration there.
  7. I've just found this amazing site. It's a generator page called Seventh Sanctum. Hopefully it will provide as much use for you as it does for me.
  8. Re: Pimp: The Backhanding I'm sorry I didn't mean do offend anyone. We could instead say that if DC were Santa's sack o' presents, then the pimps would be the soft presents.
  9. Re: how to make this power I'd do it with a Summon, where both characters' bodies where focis. Sort of like when you create zombies.
  10. Terran Empire (TE) talks about a group of psionics that call themselves the Champions. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that they are the forefathers to Galactic Champions (GC). One can also assume (and I think GC says it) that the Star*Guard is still out there. Looking at the psionic section, one can also see that almost any power can be seen as a psionic power. What’s the meaning of all this? Suppose I want to run a psionic champions campaign, or a GC lite if you want, in the official TE. My guess is that the campaign you be somewhat reminding of White Wolf’s Trinity game. What would you recommend as the campaign guidelines? My guess is that since we’re still talking a space opera campaign we can’t have too powerful characters. Do you agree that the guidelines for DC: TAS should be just as good here?
  11. Re: Pimp: The Backhanding The orcs of DC?
  12. Re: Pimp: The Backhanding Sorry, I mean a Normals (for example 50+50) game.
  13. Re: The NPC Thread I should have thought of that too when I started the thread. Thanks! Excellent work! I think it's a great idea that you've added the HD-file.
  14. When I looked at the GURPS forum today I saw something interesting. Some guy had started a thread where he posted generic NPCs from different genres. I would be fun if we could do something similar. Are you interested? For those interested, what do you think of posting the NPCs in the writer's guidelines brief format?
  15. Re: B.J. Zanzibar's WoD I really like the Angel/Demon: the Rapture text.
  16. Re: Speedball I've never heard of the game before today, but do you think Xcrawl might be a good source of inspiration?
  17. Re: Everyman - What Do *You* Want To See? For a person that missed the original book. What did I miss?
  18. Re: The Ultimate Steve Long Sometimes I wonder if there really is a Steve.
  19. Re: The Ultimate Steve Long Mind Control - Person on the forum with a question to person on the forum without a question, gestures (typing on the keyboard)
  20. Re: The Ultimate Steve Long Too be honest it's a quote from The Scarlet Pimpernel. I just copied the quote from IMDB, because I was too lazy to write it down myself. I didn’t even bother to check the spelling. It’s so humiliating... … and on top of this, it’s a laundry day.
  21. Re: The Ultimate Steve Long Lawman Steve? Maybe someone should make an action figure of him? Long Steve! Push the button in his back, and see him perform realistic writing moves with his hands!
  22. Re: The Ultimate Steve Long Darren is amazing! It's almost like he's above such petty things as time. Edit: Somone should invent a a Dr. Who smilie.
