Re: Villainess Romance Appeal?
I actually would not mind if Infernis could somehow find some understanding of "goodness' date='" although she would still be a "bad girl" at heart.[/quote']Ooooo! Now we are talking! I love villains that are ambiguous. The world is not black and white. "Evil" people never think they are evil. They all have reasons for acting the way they do.
What you need to do is figure out why your bad girls act "badly". Beneath it all should be a motivation anyone can empathize with. It can even be something like "I was screwed over before, so I am going to screw others over before they have a chance to do it to me." Not everyone is like that, but I think, on some level, people can understand why someone else might.
Are your bad girls trying to protect someone? Do your bad girls believe the ends justify the means? Is Infernus evil only because she fears the punishment she will receive from other demons if she is not? Does Multi-Girl steal because she grew up poor and swore she would never live like that again? Does her disabled sister need extensive medical care?
I love the look on my PCs' faces when they finally bring down the Big Bad and uncover he did it all for dear ole mom.

Re: Villainess Romance Appeal?
The strange thing that does bother me (at times) is that Harry can "occasionally" date all of these girls' date=' but does not count them as "girlfriends??"[/quote']This may well be a guy/girl thing. Or even worse, a person/person thing. Going on a date with someone does not make you girlfriend/boyfriend. I think even two or three dates would not imply exclusivity unless specifically discussed. I believe you said Harry and Multi-Girl have not had 'intimate relations'. That implies 'just friends' to me.
If they have not discussed exclusivity, you are on very grey area.

Re: How to make the Loner feel not so Lonely?
- If you built your "ideal" from scratch, how likely is it for you to find someone "preferable"?
- Leave the devil you know for one you do not? That just seems unwise, especially since you have built your "ideal". What flaws may creep in this other model?

Re: Confessions of Infidelity
It's not that one is better than the other.I certainly did not take anything you said as saying Hero was superior. I was merely piping in with my unsolicited two cents.
It lends heroes a certain confidence in their abilities that I find lacking in Mutants and Masterminds because a "1" on a d20 comes up just too frequently.I would agree to this point if it were not for Taking 10 and Hero Points.
Finally' date=' I have an interest in GMing multiple genres, but am finding it difficult to commit to learning new systems of play.[/quote']I would agree to this point if I had not reviewed Agents of Freedom and Warlocks and Warriors. I concede Mutants and Masterminds does not have the same flexibility and granularity as Hero. I prefer a highly cinematic game, regardless of genre. I find that Mutants and Masterminds is more than capable of doing highly cinematic games, not just Superheroes.
I am like you. I do not want to learn half a dozen different systems. I want one good ruleset that can handle any genre. Hero and Mutants and Masterminds do that for me. Thus far, I have found it easier to find players (forget about finding someone to run) for Mutants and Masterminds than Hero.

Can we make Driving and Piloting = Movement, OAF Bulky now?

Re: Villainess Romance Appeal?
This.
The appeal of "bad girls" is' date=' of course, really no different from the appeal of "bad boys".[/quote']I would not be worrying about why Harry is doing this. I would just be grateful to have a player willing to put his PC in dangerous situations all in the name of role playing.
The other option is a group of players who never play their disadvantages because they always have to 'win'.

Re: Some Military Jokes
The correct command was: Chief' date=' raise that flagpole.[/quote']I can not find the source I originally heard/read it from, so, yeah…
Although, I doubt it was 'raise that flagpole', more likely 'raise that flag'.

Some Military Jokes
Being in Military Intelligence (yes, I am well aware that is an oxymoron, gee, never heard that before) I served with all branches. I can attest to the friendly rivalries and when it really comes down to it, we were all brothers (and sisters) in arms.
What's the difference between an E1 (bottom of the enlisted pile) and an O1 (bottom of the officer pile)?
Four years. The suggestion is the only real difference is the O1 has a college degree and one that, likely, has no baring what so ever.
An old colonel was teaching a group of lieutenants how to command. He gave them the simple task of raising the flag. After 15 minutes of them arguing over who should be in charge and the best way to raise the flag, the colonel stopped them. The colonel turned to the sergeant standing next to him and said, "Sergeant, have your men raise the flag." and it was done.

What's a "soulmate?"That depends on what your definition of 'is' is.

Re: Confessions of Infidelity
I am on the other side of this coin. M&M is being good to me. She has done everything I have asked of her. 6E is going to have to wow me to bring me back.

Re: Military Eye for the Civilian Gal
I do not see Sergeant Superior 'going after' Harry so much as constantly mumbling, "His antics are going to get someone killed one day."
You have a clash of 'by the book' vs 'wing and a praryer'. They can both learn from one another.

Re: Spiting Mad
...there'd probably be two or three APGs scheduled for release early in the 6E life cycle.Thank the maker you are not running Hero.

Re: One Last 6E Preview: The Covers!
I will be the nay-sayer. Not really diggin' the new colors. I liked black and green. These feel rather effeminate and/or too four-color.

Spiting Mad
Yes, yes, it all sounds so grand. But I have to ask, "Why in another book?"
Actually, no, I do not have to ask. I know why. It still hurts.
And Chucking? Srsly? Why does DOJ continue to discriminate against we ungulates?!

Re: Hero/Fate/Karma points for Hero System
I have used the Character Advancement, Experience and Rewards suggested from Digital Hero 3 for Pointless Champions.
For straight bonuses, you could use Overall Skill Levels with Recoverable Charges and Only While Doing Something Heroic.

Re: Military Eye for the Civilian Gal
If all else fails, you could always let Sergeant Superior be the bigger man and admit that they are on the same team.
"I don't always agree with your methods, but we have the same objective. Now let's take this guy down and save the world!"
