    TV Superheroes

I can't believe we got this far without mentioning Twin Peaks. Many characters, including Agent Cooper demonstrated some superhuman abilities. I would also like to add Special Unit 2. This short lived show was about Nick O'Malley and Kate Benson who were cops with access to super high tech gadgets. Another regular on the show was Carl, the invincible Gnome. Definately super human, hardly a hero, though.
  2. Interesting build there, Chromatic. I think 18 points is a fair amount for that ability. However, that only comes to 18 points for a Speed 7 character. A speed 10 character would pay only 7! A speed 3 character would be paying 33. And they all get the same result. Yes, the lower Speed character's extra point is slightly more flexible since he has more "open" segments to use it on, but not enough to warrant a 15 point difference. And the Speed 10 and 11 characters get more usefelness than one point of normal Speed, for LESS cost. I like the idea, but the payment for it is only balanced for a very few Speed numbers.
  3. Combat Values are calculated directly from a Characteristic, but they are not characteristics in and of themselves. NFC only affects Figured Characteristics. They are specifically listed on page 19 of FRED. This list does not include Combat Values.
  4. Maybe you could make it a multipower? Use Monolith's Limitations and make one slot for a final attack, and one for Telekenisis in case you need to do something else besides attack.
  5. Q: So, Mr. Faust, what was your strategy for the Magic: The Gathering Tournament? A: The second law of thermodynamics.
  6. It just seemed to me that if you call your kitty a Fragile OAF, you will spend aa LOT of time at the pet store/adoption center getting new kittys. Poor kitty
  7. I don't think OAF is appropriate. An OAF should be taken away with a succesful disarm. Unless the character actually has to hold the cat for it to work, it wouldn't make sense that the power ceases to function just because someone "disarmed" the animal from the character. Maybe just a generic limitation "must be within 10 (or so) feet of familiar" for a small limitation would be more appropriate.
  8. You cannot teach those who are unwilling to learn.
  9. Does he have any cold related disads? Tossing him into a super secure freezing room might do the trick, force him to use his powers to keep himself warm. then keep track of long term endurance loss. Most likely escape method... by burning a wall section, then letting it refreeze until it gets brittle from metal fatigue.
  10. What that means is that weapons which have an advantage on them have an increase in the amount of STR necessary to raise the damage they do. When it says a +1/2 advantage needs 6.75 STR to raise the damage, what that actually means is that a weapon which has a +1/2 advantage (Armor Pirecing, for example) needs more STR to raise its damage that the weapon would without the advantage. To clarify: Requiring extra strength is not the advantage itsself, but the result of whatever advantage was already added to the weapon.
