(duplicates don't produce duplicates and eventually fade away)
 
his lack of offensive abilities leads him to act as the teams damage sponge blocking attacks versus other members of the team.
 
because the more he is hurt the more of him there are to defend his allies and civilians, he is often seen as completely reckless but his suicidal acts are actually highly calculated. He is not above having his team mates injure him to create duplicates when more hands are needed.

Something I recently discovered looks like a perfect option for a monster hunter who needs a flexible full auto option with a lot of stopping power

I'm imagining if he had been born a little under 20 years earlier and ended up as a genius inventor with the Tuskegee Airmen

that's the beauty of it he developed one of the most successful toy line of all time(He just sued Hasbro for back royalties to the tune of $73million)  then used the money to develop Green power systems.

Reading some of Christopher Lees Obituaries after yesterday I find myself thinking about real people who would make for interesting pulp heroes.
 
In lee's case RAF intelligence officer seconded to the SAS (possibly one of the inspirations for James bond) , expert fencer, multilingual, professional actor and Stuntman direct descendant of Charlemagne.

It's always a fair fight between Farris Courtney and anyone else his strange mutant power evens out his and their natural abilities.
 
So anyone he fights one on one is half as strong as usual while Farris gets the other half.

RED KNIGHTMARE
 
Una Moore was the cliche small town teen rebelling against authority by dabbling in the occult and self harm. She would probably have outgrown it if she hadn't found a lost grimoire of blood magic from the crimson court on Ebay.
 
 
Even then she didn't really belive in the magic not until the local football star tried to rape her during the violent assault with her blood flowing from cuts and scrapes from him trying to tear off her clothes she remembered the grimoire and it all became clear.
 
In pain and blood she found the magic and her most famous spell the blades of blood.
 
One evicerated football player later and the Red Knightmare was born. The trail of bodies when the local sheriff responded to the screams the dash cam footage showed her in tattered clothing and literally bathed in blood.
 
Since she joined the crimson court she has expanded her blood magic with enough blood she can do almost anything and luckily for her there is always lots of blood when she works.

Death watch
 
Mortimer James Ward’s mother disappeared when he was 6 years old or at least that's what the police thought the months of searches and tearful press conference from his father gave no leads.
 
Little Mort knew they would never find his mother he woke up late at night feeling something terrible was happening he walked down stairs and saw his father choking the life from his mother.
 
He ran at his father only to be slapped to the ground he lay there stunned watching as his mother's lips turned blue and life disappeared from her eyes.
 
His father dropped his mother's body and turned to him tell anybody about this and I'll kill your sister then you.
 
Mort didn't know how his father got rid of his mom's body but he knew his father would keep his promise over the next 5 years Mort did all he could to protect his sister taking blows Ment for her hiding her when his father drank. By the time he was 11 he always knew when his father was angry and would try to hurt them.
 
One day on school Mort had another feeling that something was very wrong he leapt to his feet despite the shouts of his teacher he ran to the girls bathroom he burst inside and found his sister she'd slipped on spilt soap and cracked her head off a sink. If his teacher hadn't followed him and known first aid she might have died.
 
She was laid up in bed for over a week one night he had the bad feeling again he found his father on his sister's room standing over her with a strange look on his face.
 
Mort watched as his father lent down and started to choke his sister.
 
Mort couldn't stand it he grabbed the first thing that came to hand his sister's tee ball bat he charged and smashed his father hard in the head his father slumped to the ground unconscious.
 
Mort grabbed his sister and they fled into the night Mort managed to flag down a car and the driver called the cops. Morts father went to jail Morts testimony helped convict him and the reopening of his mother's disappearance turned up a hidden shrine behind a false wall in the basement with the mummified corpse of his mother.
 
Mort and his sister ended up being adopted by one of the cops who had investigated the case. Nothing strange happened to Mort for several years with counseling and his loving adoptive family he started to recover. It was just a few days before his 14th birthday when he had that strange feeling again and he knew something was about to happen to his adoptive father.
 
A frantic mort called the station and the dispatcher hearing his panic put him through to his adoptive dad.
 
The officer tried to calm mort but agreed to take precautions. An two hours later mort his sister and his stepmother where at the hospital.
 
6 45 slugs had hit his vest when a routine traffic stop turned deadly. His chest was a map of bruises and he had a few broken ribs.
 
Mort began to Understand he had a gift when he was 18 he joined the police academy he had a natural aptitude and graduated top of his class much to the joy of his adoptive farmer.
 
As a rookie officer he was working security for the visit of the first lady to a local school. He was on the edge of the crowd when he had the feeling again he rushed to the front and tackled a nondescript man holding out a pen and notebook.
 
Everyone thought he was crazy the secret service dragged him off the guy whole part of the detail extracted FLOTUS. He might have lost his job maybe gone to jail if the man he tackled hadn't confessed to attempting to kill the first lady with a poison rigged pen.
 
Mort was invited to join the secret service. During his training his trainers thought he was cheating somehow he always seemed to know where traps were who was a traitor and when someone was about to attack. Eventually a visiting member of the Silver star realized that mort had a gift.
 
Research and testing has revealed that mort has latent telepathic powers that manifest as the ability to detect violent intentions towards someone he feels protective of he also gets precognitive flashes of other dangers.
 
Mort has learnt to harness his power in combat knowing when an attack is coming makes him an excellent fighter and almost impossible to hit.
 
His power appears to have a global range and his danger sense will work for dozens of people.
 
The further away he is from the protectee the less information he gets at a distance he may just get a feeling of danger. Within a few hundred yards he can triangulate the danger.
 
If right beside the primary he often gets brief prerogative visions of the danger and can pick out individuals in a crowd with violent intent.
 
 
Some telepaths have tried to convince mort to expand his abilities and become a true psychic but Mort is happy with how his gift works now and does not want to risk losing it.
 
He has a deep psychological need to protect people especially women and children and will take a bullet for anyone he considers his responsibility.

Mothers Ruin
 
specializing in blackmail by threatening the lives and health of the mothers of the wealthy targets with his mysterious power to shatter the spines of maternal figures
few heroes will risk turning their mother into a paraplegic by attacking him so his weakness is orphans and to a lesser extent the adopted.
 
if he can be prevented from moving or placed on a surface without cracks he is de-powered.

Knocker
 
This Cornish criminal uses a magic pick and hammer which grant him the ability to turn stone metal and concrete into a fluid like form he can walk through or cause others to be stuck in.
 
He was a safe cracker and General thief before getting into a competition with Ben Nives and becoming his nemesis when he joined the knights Knocker was an easy recruit for the order.
 
Knocker gets his name from two facets of his tools powers
 
the first is his echolocation ability by striking a hard surface with his hammer or pick gives him a perfect sense of everything in his surroundings he is fond of shutting down the power and then using the ability to give him an edge. He often uses a tactic of dropping an enemy into sewers or other tunnel systems then pursuing them with a slow rhythmic tapping to scare them into inaction before he strikes.
 
the second is the boosted strength his weapons give him that throw his targets back a considerable distance.
 
If he uses both together on the ground he can also generate a Shockwave that knocks everyone top over teakettle.

Yakshi claims to be a hitherto unknown tree deity attendant of Kubera (the Hindu god of wealth) and is intent on seeing that "those who have stolen the treasures of the earth" are punished.  She does exhibit the ability to control plants, but her claims of being a deity are bogus.  She is actually a mutant, an Adivasi (the indigenous people of India) and she'd like to see that her people benefit from some land reform (specifically, that they receive land ownership that they claim was taken from them during British colonial rule.

Aztech
 
He goes by the name of Malcolm Clark as he hates the Spanish for what they did to his country. A graduate of MIT, Malcolm created the suit based on Aztec legends and their mythology. He does outside jobs like Eskimo Knell in order to pay the bills as the suit is expensive. However he reserves his political fights for Mexico and robbing drugs barons who he considers beneath the dignity of the people. He will be the first one involved in attacking anything pro Spanish so South America, Central America and Spain are his main targets.  

BIKINI @$$HOLE
 
 
Over 70 years ago his people were forced off their home island “for the good of mankind” they starved because their temporary home was too small for them In 1970 his people were allowed to return only for them to be forced to leave a decade later when heightened radiation was found in their bodies.
 
 
The Bikini @$$hole was the last child born on the island before the second relocation. His body was affected by the radiation and his left side is covered in waxy skin like burn damage and his left eye glows blue with cherenkov radiation.
 
 
Just looking at his right side he is an unusual tall and muscular example of Bikinian heritage powerfully built with the rich brown skin tone indicative of Marshall islanders.
 
He wears tan cargo shorts or occasionally a traditional fringed skirt. He also wears a tee-shirt with the bikini Island flag which looks similar to the US flag but symbolizes the debt the US owes to his people. His right bicep is tattooed with a ring of 23 white stars and 5 black under which is inscribed MEN WŌTŌMJEJ REJ ILO PEIN ANIJ meaning "Everything is in the hands of God."drawing from the symbology of the flag
 
 
Power wise he's mostly your plain vanilla brick soaking up punishment hitting hard and leaping great distances. He has one other power that he keeps concealed he has the ability to absorb high energy EM waves especially gamma and X rays and can store that energy either to Supercharge his powers or generate a extremely devastating eye beam from his glowing left eye.
 
 
The reason he keeps it secret is that he wants people to think it's a good idea to blast him with energy attacks and thus get the bonus.
 
He's not much of a tactician he really just likes to get into it and do as much property damage as possible.

Quieta frainetto the mysterious young owner of a mansion on Esquiline Hill. A prominent if discreet environmental philanthropist she is linked to a number of environmental and preservation charities.
 
 
The few people who have visited the house over the years find a once beautiful house now shuttered and dusty the lady of the house entertains solely in the beautiful vibrant garden usually under the spreading bows of the majestic Italian oak at the garden's heart.
 
 
Quieta is not her true name her original name is lost to antiquity she is the last of the Querquetulanae or oak nymphs and the oak in the garden is the last descendant of the sacred Grove that once stood on Esquiline Hill.
 
 
Once her ancestors defended just the Grove but as the modern world has encroached and many nymphs have gone from the world Quieta has found herself taking on more responsibility she considers herself a lares or guardian spirit not just of her tree but all the natural spaces and households of Italy.
 
 
in the modern world this has manifested as being a Superhero.
 
 
In her heroic aspect she is a tall powerfully built female figure who appears to have been carved from oak. She wears a simple tunic made of oak leaves. And wields a 6 foot Oaken staff. The staff is formed from a limb of her parent tree and can change shape at a thought normally a simple staff it can become a spear sword or grow branches to form a shield.
 
 
The most common second form though is a long bow. She is a deadly shot able to create oakleaf fletched arrows at will. She is superhumanly strong durable and able to heal from just about anything as long as she can touch her home tree.
 
 
Her ability to communicate with plants is limited but can give her clues a fight on grass or in a forest will find her enemies at a serious disadvantage with her able to sense every movement for a considerable distance.

Or at least he was back in the twentieth century. He retired in the eighties to settle down with his wife in Cornwall as regular old Reg Dwight he had a nice quiet 30 years despite the semi annual assassination attempts.
 
All was well until last year when his wife died suddenly of a stroke his way of dealing with his grief was to torch his house dig up his weapon caches and restart his supervillain career.
 
Unfortunately for Reg he hasn't really kept up his training and didn't realize till his return how bad it was too many cigs in the 60s means he gets winded fast early stage Parkinsons has ruined his perfect aim. lumbago and arthritis make his martial arts moves a bit less deadly than they used to be. The final nail is his failing memory. Other supervillains former colleagues apprentices have felt sorry for him and have made the budget baddies take care of him. he's still a lot more dangerous than he looks and when he can be kept on task a tactical and strategic genius.
 
He still wears his original death master costume black body suit utility belt sword and twin pistols with a gun metal skull face mask. Unfortunately it was designed for a man with a much better physique and kind of hangs off him now. Silver Tufts of his once lustrous raven wing dark hair stick out through his mask straps.

Double Aught Buckley
 
Oliver O'bannon Buckley was born in 1903 in a remote community in upstate New York his father was an experienced outdoorsman and hunting guide and Oliver learnt everything his old man could teach.
 
 
in 1917 he ran away from home, lied about his age to join the army and served with distinction in the American Expeditionary force as a scout and sniper He returned home decorated for his Valor only to find his parents had died of Spanish flu.
 
 
Orphaned and with no other skills he returned to the woods and started a new life as a fur trapper and hunter. 1922 a newly wed Buckley was out on a hunting trip. While he was away his wife and infant son were killed in the crossfire when an bootleggers took cover from a police road block.
 
He returned to find everyone dead crooks and police alike and a trail of blood leading into the woods. Buckley found a gangster bleeding out just a few hundred yards from his cabin.
 
 
Buckley saw red and with his trusty shotgun he cut a bloody swath down through the state killing bootleggers and gangsters till he hit Manhattan and decimated several gangs before killing the kingpin of the gang that killed his family.
 
 
Then he surrendered to police. Despite Numerous attempts on his life in jail, he was still standing 3 years into his multiple life sentences the governor offered him a pardon if he would be willing to go into the wilds and track down a dangerous fugitive who had killed dozens of police and US Marshall's during his multi state rampage.
 
 
Everyone thought he would die but double Aught Buckley was built of sterner stuff he walked into the forest with a canteen Bowie knife hatchet and his trusty Remington 12 gauge. 6 days later he walked out with a beaten bloody but living fugitive.
 
 
Buckley got his pardon over the next two decades he became a legend part bounty Hunter part vigilante. He changed his modus operandi changing from a cold blooded killer to a canny hunter he added rubber bullets rock salt and teargas shells to his shot guns.
 
 
Buckley is an expert marksman knife fighter and tracker. His standard load out is a sawn off side by side pistol grip shotgun he uses as a side arm a Bowie knife and a folding repeating shotgun all concealed under a heavy leather duster.
