  1. Change Environment: +2 Hurting of Person.
  2. Alright then. Extra-Dimensional Movement: Dimension Where That Guy Is Unhurt to Dimension Where That Guy Isn't Unhurt, Side Effects: That Guy Might Die.
  3. Extra-Dimensional Movement. Is there anything it can't do?
  4. I'll never live this down. Oh, the pain! Oh, the pain of it all!
  5. Damn. I got suckered. You foolied me, Outlander.
  6. Ah, IPE. How could I forget the IPE?! A Killing Attack against a very limited form of defense that can easily wipe out just about any form of life in over a 1,000-kilometer radius with no visbile effects-- that's what the original poster's looking for, right?
  7. 12d6 RKA, Megascale AoE, AVLD: Power Defense?
  8. RKA, Reduced Penetration? Who's it going to hurt/maybe kill? Norms or supers?
  9. Yeah, the GM suggested a VPP, and I guess I'll do that if that's what it takes, but I really don't picture him doing anything extraordinarily useful with it. The best he could/would do would be to get, say, a small car. What can 12 BODY get you in the way of a car, anyway? In general, I try to avoid VPPs at all costs. There's usually a better way to do it.
  10. Yes... only now do you see the power of the Transform Side. I was thinking of the NCC at -1, but I'm reluctant to take it because it would seem to indicate a greater lack of control than I was going for. That is, he'd have absolutely no control over what he teleported. Thanks for the input, all.
  11. Okay. Then I might suggest that a feline does not make the best Brick template. You're probably not looking for a different totem animal, but how about a bear? A bear spirit could much more easily justify high STR or, more appropriately, Density Increase. Just a thought. Ursa Major. Actually... yeah, I'm gonna make that guy! Well, that's different. If you don't care about efficiency, then we won't worry about wasted points and/or opportunities. Having said that, I really do think he should be smarter than average. More than a point smarter. Smart enough that a roll would reflect it. I also second the suggestions for Enhanced Senses and background skills-- especially the latter, because right now he seems to have no context whatsoever. But better than these, and more essential, IMO, is the additional Running! What's the point of being a cat if you can't run circles around your puny man-animal slaves?
  12. I'm trying to build a power that lets the character, given time, teleport any one desired object to his location. If you're familiar with Amber, the idea is a lot like Logrus. He can go searching for, say, a pizza, but he has no control over the toppings. Or he could search for a compact car and end up with a Yugo. So if he were in jail and needed the key, he could indeed teleport a key to himself, but considering how many keys there are in the world, it's not bound to be the right key. I've built it as a Major Transform: Air into Anything, with a Detect: Desired Objects (Megascale, 1" = 1,000 km) used to find the object(s) in question, but it feels a little clunky. How would you build this? Do you think the Detect should even be required, or should it just be a special effect of the Transform, plus Extra Time to reflect the "search"?
  13. I agree on the 8 SPD thing. Seems way high, but it depends on the campaign. As for my thoughts on the rest of the character (all IMO).... If he's a cat-thing, I'd think his highest characteristic should be DEX, not STR, and that his main defense would be a high DCV instead of PD/ED/FF. When I think "cat," I think "agile." I'd lower his STR, maybe lower his CON, and raise his DEX a bit. That 25 DEX is a waste of points, IMO. It's an extra few points for the same OCV/DCV he'd have at a 23 DEX. Drop it to 23 or (my preference) raise it to 26 or above for the extra OCV. Either way. But 25 is in limbo. 11 INT is a waste of a point. I'd drop it to 10 or raise it to 13. -2 COM? Really? Also, wouldn't that be worth 6 points instead of 2? He's a cat-thing. How about buying up that Running? He's a cat-thing. How about loads of Breakfall? He should be able to land on his feet from any height! Also, how about a couple dice of Luck? What's the degree of vulnerability to fire? 1 1/2X STUN? Without knowing anything about the campaign or his background, it's hard to say anything else (e.g., why the Vulnerability to Fire?), but at first glance, that's what I see.
  14. See, to me, a lot of these suggestions (good suggestions, don't get me wrong) are just +PRE, Attack Only, Costs END. Or Images. Both of these are really great, because they allow for all kinds of variation with just two simple powers. I also like 3d6 Flash with Explosion, Continuous, and No Range, defined as that "balefire" that blinds anyone near him.
  15. My two cents: Ditch the Mind Control, and make it Side Efects (Psych. Lim.: Obsessed with work, VCom, Tot).
  16. Demonicus, I'd like to speak to Kzinbane now. Can Kzinbane speak to me? I'm not saying purposely let the thing loose. Something goes wrong, and it breaks loose. I.e., Demonicus is not in control of the situation, but it makes for a good game. What?! I am deeply offended by this statement! Grr! Oh. Okay.
  17. Well, you can Absorb to anything you want, but the SFX of whatever you Absorb should probably be limited to light-based attacks. I have a light-based energy blaster who has a FF pseudoscientifically defined as hyper-concentrated photons that deflect attacks. Hey, I'm no scientist.
  18. Oh, and I know it gets a bad rap around here, and that pointwise, it's inefficient, but giving him Absorption vs. Light-based Attacks linked to Armor, Only Up To Amount Rolled on Absorption Dice, would make sense to me. Personally, I like that combo.
  19. I'd call that a PRE Attack, myself, and also build into it major Sight Flash Defense or Desolid, Only to Sight Group Flash. BTW, this guy sounds pretty cool.
  20. Ooh! In that case, let the PCs find you. Let them interrupt you in the middle of the thing and get into a fight with you and Nuclear Lass. They foul up the ritual, and the demon breaks free! That's a much bigger problem, and presents an interesting situation in that the heroes might team up with the villains to get the thing contained/killed, especially if Demonicus is the only one who knows its weaknesses.
  21. Intimidating illusions (shapes moving in the darkness, looming shadows, etc.) bought as a PRE Attack. Mirror images of himself bought as DCV. Um....
  22. Or how about getting a job, Demonicus? That ever occur to you? Get off your fat ass and earn a respectable wage. It'll build character.
  23. Yeah, I was going to ask what you plan to do with all that gold. I'm reminded of the Underpants Gnomes from South Park. Also, is there any particular reason you need to sacrifice humans? Why not stick with the animals? Say, horses. Horses are plentiful, heavy, and won't be as missed as people. You go around kidnapping horses and these superheroes are likely to leave it to the street-level guys. Finally, your name makes me think of Orbnauticus, from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

    Help a newbie!

I think Suppress Running is the way to go, personally. SPD Drain is really inefficient for the points you'd be spending on it. On average, a 3d6 SPD Drain would only drain one point of SPD, whereas a 6d6 Suppress Running would do the trick pretty reliably (average effect of 21 points, more than enough to deal with even 10" of Running), for the same cost.
  25. Your weak point is that mage. Deal with the mage first. (But keep the pie. The pie's your heart!) Surely one of the "many, many more things I can do beyond what I have mentioned" must include jamming his Dark Ritual Sense. Blind that sense, or make your activities invisible to that sense. With all that sweet, sweet demon cash, hire thugs or another superpowered badguy to create a diversion while your flesh-into-gold spell is happening. Or forget the invisibility thing, and give them something better to do. Blow up a building. Sure, the mage may be able to sense that you're doing your thing, but would they rather save many lives at the expense of one, or one at the expense of many? Tell them you're going to eradicate Hackensack, New Jersey with your orbital laser unless they deliver a yeti heart to your door by noon tomorrow. Then when they're gettin' that yeti, or cruising around in space looking for your nonexistent laser, you can do your ritual in peace and quiet (or, if you prefer, chaos and screaming-- you are a villain, after all).
