  1. Re: WWYCD #122 (or so): Strange Visitor I'm going to follow the format that the Watcher used for his posts and try to do at ten characters a day. I apologize if I miss anyone. It won't be anything personal, its just that there are so many characters that have appeared on the lists. This set of responses will be for Sailor Io (Mina). For almost all of the visitors the initial encounter will probably start off similarly. The Senshi will end the battle by destroying their opponent, which in many cases will provoke the classic hero fight. If attacked, the Senshi will utilize defensive and restraining attacks and attempt to reason with their new opponent. They aren't going to want to hurt the stranger unless they have to. Sailor Io will utilize her Io Arctic Freeze (entangle attack) at the first opportunity. The fight will probably switch to a debate rather than a battle when Sailor Io says something along the lines of, "Koto has already been responsible for at least three deaths, and if we let her go will most assuredly kill yet more people. And you'd have had us release her?" This will eventually lead to the Senshi taking the visitor to a river near a local private school for a long conversation about both their world and their visitors world. The visitor will learn that in this world, there aren’t any “classical” superheroes or mutants, rather the creatures from myth and legend are real. This is a world where mystical creatures, beings from other realms, magic users, and psycics hide themselves from the mundane world. The Senshi act as humanity’s protectors against the those of the supernatural groups that would seek to kill or do major harm. For human looking adult heroes that seem capable of looking after themselves, the Senshi will pool their allowances (fortunately a couple of them get fairly nice ones) and put them up in a decent hotel for the week. Non-human looking adults will be helped to hide to the best of the Senshi’s ability. Warp: Since Warp seems fairly charismatic and as like a nice guy, during the course of the initial conversation the Senshi will probably end up relaxing and revealing who they really are. Mina and some of the others will probably check in with him after school each day, and show him around Tokyo. Mina will be intrigued by the fact that he is able to travel between dimensions and teleport and may try seeing if he’s been to any of the realms they’ve visited (Arcadeia: land of the Fae, The Mirrorverse, the North Pole: "yes the one with Santa," etc). Since Senshi powers can be somewhat flexible, she may try seeing if she can learn from him how to teleport or travel between dimensions on her own. The fact that only one of the current Senshi can do that has proven problematic at times. Towards the end of the week, Io might privately seek his advice on some of the ethical dilemmas she has been facing. She has to be strong for her friends and so much of the time they just go with what she decides. Getting an unbiased opinion from someone she’s come to respect would be helpful. Microman II: Sailor Io and Bladestar will both be intrigued by the fact that Mircroman II is a sentient robot, and he may well hear at least a passing reference to the former Android Senshi, Sailor Vallis. Since Microman II can shrink, he will probably end up staying in one of the Senshi’s dorm rooms. After all, there is no way they can put him up in a local hotel. Though they aren’t anywhere near his equivalent, Microman might get a kick out of the robotic pets that Sailor Io made for her friends last Christmas. And I can see him engaging in quite a few technical discussions with Io and Bladestar, leading to lost looks from the rest of the Senshi. As with Warp, towards the end of the week Io might seek his advice on some of the ethical dilemma’s she has been facing. Starguard: I have a feeling Starguard is going to have a very hard time accepting the way things are in this world. Over the course of the initial conversation, Sailor Io, will probably decide that Starguard’s naivety and innocence is likely to end up getting her into serious trouble while she is here. Ultimately she will end up being invited to stay in Mina and Mitzy’s dorm room for the week. Mina will quietly request that one of the animal companions (Jade or Sebastian) keep a close eye on her, not because Mina doesn’t trust her but because she’s worried about her. I have a feeling both the parrot and the cat will end up gaining several pounds as they talk Starguard into ordering them pizza, getting them ice cream, getting them fresh fruit, etc. Io will probably try to keep Starguard away from any of the conflicts that happen during the week. Though, I have a feeling that she will quickly tire of the overprotection and insist on helping. Actually, I can see Starguard, despite the protests of Jade and Sebastian, setting off one morning while the rest of the Senshi are in school to do something, though I’m not sure exactly what. But I have a feeling the results will be dramatic. Cyrande: Due to her extreme attractiveness and revealing costume, she may well quickly pick up on quite a few "He’s MY boyfriend” vibes from the various female Senshi. The Senshi will probably be somewhat wary of Cyrande at first. Cyrande looks a bit too much like a Mah-ki or a Fae and their may be just a bit of concern that she actually is playing a deeper game of some type. Cyrande may well notice one or more of the Senshi glancing over to Oden (one of the knights) during the first conversation to see how he is reacting to her. [see WWYCD #106 for why.] The fact that she is obviously non-human, would be problematic. But fortunately she can hide that fact without much trouble. The Senshi will initially check her into a hotel (though once they become more comfortable with her, they may invite her to the dorms). They will request that she not leave the room without disguising her features. Once they get to know her, the Senshi and Cyrande will get along well. They will be happy to show her the sites and just let her have a chance at a vacation. Though the Scouts will probably show subtle signs of concern the whole week about her trying to steal their boyfriends. Something the Knights probably will enjoy. Means extra attention and cuddles for them after all. I can see both Cyrande and the Senshi being curious about whether or not Malva exists in this dimension. Husky/Kenneth: I have a feeling that the fact that in this world, superpowers and magic are so hidden will bother Husky a bit. Still, I have think he will enjoy his stay here, especially if he is willing to allow the Senshi to find out about his Kenneth half. After all, the Senshi are probably fairly close to him in age. (I’ve not been able to figure out exactly how old Kenneth is. Io is 16.) At least, three of the Senshi (Io, Bladestar, and Saturn) are among the smartest people in Japan. Io and Bladestar are both skilled gadgeteers. And none of the Senshi would ostracize someone for being intelligent. If the Senshi get to meet Kenneth, he will be invited to stay in the dorms with them, (probably in Bladestar’s room). There will be quite a few technical discussions between Mina, Zane, and Kenneth. Kenneth may well get the chance to improve some of Mina’s gadgets and perhaps teach her a bit about "Huskonian” technology. He probably will enjoy the robotic pets that Mina made for her friends last Christmas. If he stays as Husky, there will once again be the inhuman looking issue. Though, I have a feeling that he will be able to create an image projector quickly enough. Husky would probably insist on getting involved with a few more of the battles between the Senshi and their foes the week he is there and would definitely be a huge help. Either way I think he will have a nice time. Flesh Gordon: Flesh will probably get a quick feel for the relationships between the Senshi as the Scouts stare in startlement at the naked but attractive man in front of them and their associated Knights (or brothers) either move in front of them or reach over and cover their eyes. The first order of business is going to be getting him dressed, and then taking him to the river to find out what is going on. After just a short conversation with him, the Senshi are going to quickly start wondering if he came from some sort of B movie universe. And he may well overhear a few quiet speculations that maybe he is the alternate version of Sailor Moon’s Knight. The conversations between Moon and Flesh would be fascinating to say the least, and they will probably either get along very well or hate each other. As with most of the other human looking adults, the Senshi will pool their allowances and get him a room at a nearby hotel and probably show him around a bit after school. I have a feeling that he will begin to drive Io batty quickly and she will be tempted to assign Moon to permanent, "Keep an eye on Flesh” duty. Though the thought of the two of them roaming through Tokyo unsupervised is just scary. Style: The conversation by the river between Style and the rest of the Senshi will end up extending long into the night. As was said earlier in the thread, Style would be fascinated by this world. And, if it was mentioned, Io would be interested in his reference to "the dragon” and find herself wondering about whether or not something similar exists in her world. Eventually, as Io realized how tired they were going to be tomorrow at school, she would end the conversation and see about getting Style situated in a nearby hotel. During the course of the week, I can see frequent visits and conversations between Style and several of the Senshi. Magnus (the team mage) and Sailor Centari (the team mystic and psychic) would both have lots to discuss with him. Io would definitely be interested in exchanging information, willingly trading information about the Mah-ki, Fae, etc. in exchange for useful magic techniques, knowledge about his world, etc. While Io isn’t a mage herself, she would be interested in gaining a bit more knowledge of the occult just so that she can better understand how to help Magnus and Centari. Style may well get asked questions based on things Sailor Io has seen go wrong like, "What is the best way to fix it when someone’s mind gets trapped in the wrong body?” Or, "How do you find someone that accidentally got transferred to the wrong dimension?” Style may well be able to help Sailor Io expand some of her Senshi abilities as well. During the course of the week, Sailor Io may well end up confiding in him about her fears that she is not strong enough or wise enough to lead the Senshi and that she is terrified that she is going to end up making yet more mistakes. She will probably seek his advice about the very grey issues that she faces. Talion: Seconds after Talion appears and accidentally helps the Senshi defeat their opponent, a swarm of reporters with TV cameras appear out of nowhere, much to the Senshi’s dismay. In an attempt to minimize the exposure, Sailor Io casts her concealing fog, one of the Senshi grab Talion, and Sailor Io attempts to make it all look like some sort of a publicity stunt by yelling, "Magic Girls the Movie appearing in two months.” Under the cover of the fog, the Senshi quickly head to the river to find out what is going on. The Senshi are going to feel a great deal of sympathy for Talion when he tells them about his world, and are going to want to help. They will offer to pool their allowances so that he can stay at a nearby hotel, and may try insisting if he refuses. And during the week they will show him around town and give him a chance to just have a bit of a vacation away from the stresses of home. Zane and Mina have never actually worked on making superprison type technology. Its not something they could use in a world where they are hidden from the mundane world. But, they would be more than willing to see what they could come up with in a week. I doubt they could create plans for everything that his world would need, but they might be able to come up with at least a few useful ideas. As the week comes to an end, they will mention that he is welcome to stay in their world if he wants. (Up to fate to decide if his unluck has followed him there or not. But, still, at least he won’t have She-Cat around. And the Heroes of this world are a good bit more competent than his former teammates. Io hasn’t hit an innocent once with her lightning. And if she has ever accidentally hit a team mate with it I’ve forgotten.) I’m still not sure if I could see him as a Senshi. He’s not a moonite and he’s not the right age. But, the his powers would come in very handy in their fights. Some opponents would definitely think twice about attacking if they get the exact same attack back each time they do so. Menagerie: Menagerie will probably initially assume that she was in the middle of a battle between two groups of mutants. The Senshi would appear to be energy projectors and most of their foes look near-human. During the course of the conversation, the Senshi will quickly realize that Menagerie has an attitude very similar to most of there most dangerous Mah-ki enemies and will under no circumstances reveal their secret ids to her. She will be informed, "If you attempt to hurt or kill any humans while you are in our world, except in the case of self defense or defense of another, we will treat you just like any other threat.” The Senshi will still help her disguise her more inhuman features and put her up at a local hotel. They will check in on her frequently and might be willing to show her around Tokyo. There will be at least a few passionate conversations where they attempt to convince her that murdering humans, even if humans are a different and weaker species, is wrong and that violence just leads to a whole never ending spiral of destruction. I could easily see Menagerie running off and helping the Senshi’s enemies during the week she is in their world. (I realized I was unfair in assuming that the Senshi would quickly pick up on Menagerie's attitudes. But I think it does make a more interesting read this way and I'm having trouble rewording it.) Baron Darien: The Senshi will initially have mixed reactions to Baron Darien. While they’ve never face a true vampire, they will have heard enough legends about them to be concerned that he might be an enemy rather than a potential friend. And depending on how much of his history he is willing to share with them, they will realize quickly realize how dangerous of an enemy he could be. After all, he is clearly very used to operating secretly and against mystical enemies and has been very effective in doing so. They will not reveal their secret identities to him and may be wary about how much information they share with him. Though, they will still make sure he has all of the knowledge he needs to understand this world and will do their best to find him a safe place to stay. (A hotel might be risky for someone who can be hurt by sunlight.) While nervous about him, Sailor Io is still going to be very intrigued by his wisdom, experience, and tactical knowledge. During the course of the week, she will seek him out with an offer to exchange information or technology in return for tutoring from him. I think by the end of the week she will have developed a great deal of respect for him and learned quite a bit. And while she will probably still seem rather inexperienced to his eyes, he may well end up respecting her a bit too. Audra Blue: The initial encounter with Audra Blue is likely to be a good bit different than most of the others, since she will probably be having a panic attack due to her agoraphobia. Once Io realizes why Audra is reacting the way she is, she will decide to take the risk and have the group immediately transport Audra back to their dorms, while hoping that she’s not making a mistake in doing so. Fortunately, once the Senshi get Audra calmed, the will realize that she’s not an enemy or a threat and will be able to relax. For simplicity sake, they will continue to hide Audra in their dorm rooms for the week that she is there. The Senshi will try to be good hosts, but they may have a very hard time providing her with the drugs she needs. Hopefully her dependencies are not that hard to obtain or she can go a week without them. Hotaru/Saturn is the groups computer expert and will probably have a nice time discussing techniques with Audra. Mina might chat with her a bit too, especially in regards to AIs or about technology in general. Anthem (Blue's): After the conversation by the river, Anthem (I think she is a teenager right?) will be invited to stay in the dorms with the Senshi. Anthem will most likely have a nice vacation where she gets the chance to site see in Tokyo, and just relax. Since her powers are subtle, if Anthem wanted, she probably could patrol the streets at night and deal with the human crimes that the Senshi tend to leave up to the police. As with most of the others, if she wanted to join the Senshi in their battles, they wouldn’t object. Uncle Slam: As with many of the others, probably a hero fight followed by a discussion by the river and then the Senshi putting him up at a local hotel. I’m not sure there will be a lot of common interests between him and any of the Senshi. Though, if he chose to act as a mentor figure for the week, the Senshi would listen. His time as a soldier would probably enable him to relate to the types of battles the Senshi frequently face, but he might have to make the first move when it comes to advising them. Io is more likely to ask for advice after she’s interacted with someone for a while, and I’m not sure their would be as much interaction here. Mystic: Very similar to the interactions between the Senshi and Style. The initial conversation by the river would last long into the night with both sides exchanging a wide range of information about both supernatural beings and alternate dimensions. Eventually the Sailor Io would see about getting him settled in a nearby hotel. During the course of the week, I can see frequent visits and conversations between Mystic and several of the Senshi. Magnus (the team mage) and Sailor Centari (the team mystic and psychic) would both have lots to discuss with him. Io would definitely be interested in exchanging information, willingly trading information about the Mah-ki, Fae, etc. in exchange for useful magic techniques, knowledge about his world, knowledge about the mystical dimensions he has visited, etc. While Io isn’t a mage herself, she would be interested in gaining a bit more knowledge of the occult just so that she can better understand how to help Magnus and Centari. Mystic may well get asked questions based on things Sailor Io has seen go wrong like, "What is the best way to fix it when someone’s mind gets trapped in the wrong body?” Or, "How do you find someone that accidentally got transferred to the wrong dimension?” Mystic might be able to help Sailor Io expand some of her Senshi abilities as well. By the end of the week, Sailor Io will probably be comfortable enough with him to privately confide in him about her fears and seek his advice about the very grey issues that she faces. Dr. Pain: Wrestling is popular in Japan, though to the best of my knowledge, none of the Senshi are wrestling fans. Additionally, I’m not sure I see much in the way of common interests between Dr. Pain and any of the Senshi. The Senshi will of course fill him in on how things work in their world, find out as much as they can about his, see about getting him a room at a nearby hotel, and volunteer to show him around Tokyo. But, I’m not sure I see much more interaction than that. Dr. Pain will probably just have a nice vacation, and get a chance to watch wrestling in a whole different dimension. The Mask of Justice: Since the Mask of Justice is from WWII era earth, I have a feeling that he just might react badly to finding himself in Japan and might consider it an axis plot. Though, considering the differences between the worlds (and the technology level differences), he will probably quickly come to realize that he is in a different dimension and time rather than just a different country. Still, depending on what was said prior to that, he may end up hearing about Hiroshima from an annoyed knight or scout. Since after even a short conversation, it will be clear that he is from a different dimension, the Senshi won’t be too worried about damaging the time line by letting him see their world and he may well get the chance to, if he wants, read the history of WWII from the Japanese viewpoint. Recognizing that the Senshi’s world will probably seem quite different from his own time and place, Io will make a point to visit with him frequently after school and make sure that he is alright. Flippant: If I remember correctly, Flippant is good with teens (gymnastics instructor?) and probably will get along well with the Senshi during his week there. As with Warp, Io would be fascinated by the fact that he can travel easily between dimensions and would be quite curious as to whether or not he’s visited any of the dimensions they’ve been to as well as wanting to learn about the dimensions his visited. She may well end up taking very complete notes after their conversations just on the chance that the Scouts end up visiting any of the places he’s already been. She may also attempt see if he can teach her how use her abilities to teleport or move between dimensions. Io is fairly certain that the Senshi were able to do so back in the Mystic ages, and so they should be able to do so know. She just doesn’t know how. Towards the end of the week, if they have been getting along well, Io may privately seek his advice on the ethical dilemmas she and the Senshi face. Rock Bottom: As a living statue that can’t change back to normal, Rock Bottom will be one of the most challenging guests for the Senshi to deal with. And unless Mina and Zane can manage to create some sort of holographic image projector or other way to disguise him, he may be stuck in a hotel room for most of his visit. Though if that is the case, the Senshi will make a point to visit him frequently, so that he doesn’t have too miserable of a visit. None of the Senshi are gay so he won’t have much luck flirting. But, none of them will have any problems with the fact that Rock Bottom is. All in all, they should all get along reasonably well. Special Agent Trent: I don’t see the Senshi getting along well with Special Agent Trent at all. From what I’ve gathered, he isn’t overly fond of superhumans and I have a feeling that fact will become clear during the initial conversation. Worse, he is an FBI agent. While the Senshi haven’t actually had any direct experience with any government agencies, they don’t want any. They make a point of operating in secrecy and have seen enough X-files type shows to be worried about FBI agents. Additionally, while they never have actually said as much, subconsciously the Senshi probably don’t see human agencies as capable of dealing with supernaturals. They will not allow Special Agent Trent to discover their secret ids and will carefully consider any information they do give him. He will probably find out significantly less about this world from the Senshi than the other visitors. And once they set him up in a hotel room, they will probably avoid him as much as possible. Stopwatch: I doubt Stopwatch will mention the fact that she is a criminal during the initial discussion by the river, and while the Senshi do have a couple of members that could find out the truth, they don’t use those abilities often or easily. So she will appear to be a fun loving and rather nice girl around their own age with a really interesting power set. The Senshi will end up inviting her to stay in their dorms with them, the pets will attempt to convince her to get them ice cream whenever their respective owners aren’t watching, and the group will take her on trips through Tokyo while she is there. If the Senshi don’t catch her stealing, it will be a very nice vacation, and if she wants, the chance to play superhero for a while. If the Senshi do catch her stealing something, they are going to be noticeably disappointed in her. They may not deal with human criminals at all, and wouldn’t destroy one of their Mah-ki foes for something as minor as theft. But they do still respect the law, and believe that it should be followed if at all possible. Since they won’t want to trap her in the wrong dimension for one mistake, they won’t turn her over to the cops. But they will insist that she return it to whoever she took it from and she will end up getting a "stealing is wrong” lecture. The Senshi will keep a closer eye on her after that, though they will still be friendly. Group knows full well that anyone can make a mistake. Calculus: Calculus would probably love the opportunity to act as a mentor for this large group of super-powered teens. (4 Scouts, 2 Knights, 1 Mage, 1 Other. Ranging in age from Junior in high school through Freshman in college.) And the Senshi would definitely benefit from his wisdom. So long as Calculus doesn’t come across as patronizing, he and the group should get along well from the start. The Senshi won’t push for any details about his world that he isn’t willing to share, and will of course give him a fairly complete overview of their world immediately. During the week, Sailor Io especially (but probably some of the others as well) will make the attempt to learn from him. Io would be thrilled to get advice about tactics. Her team relies on her to make almost all the decisions and, while she does her best, she’s always afraid that she’s going to make a mistake that costs them badly. If Calculus is a gadgeteer (can’t remember right off hand), she and Zane will probably try getting his help and feedback on a few items they’ve been trying to build. Once trust is built, she will definitely seek his advice on the ethical issues as well. I have a feeling the Senshi would benefit a great deal from his wisdom while he was there. Eve: The Senshi would find Eve incredibly cute and would definitely want to protect and entertain her during her visit. I’m not sure how readily she can pass for human, but in either case she would end up spending the week staying in Mina and Mitzy’s dorm room with them. The pets would adore her. Even the dragonrabbit might be willing to play with her. And Jade and Seb would constantly be competing for cuddles and treats. Also, Mina made robotic pets for all of her friends for Christmas. While the AI’s are very simple, Eve probably would enjoy interacting with them. If she looks human, the Senshi will definitely take her to all sorts of fun kid places in Tokyo. There will be at least one day at the arcade or amusement park. If not, there will still be plenty of fun and games to be had in the dorm room. Eve will NOT be allowed to go on any of the Senshi’s missions though. She’ll get left home with the pets. While Zane, Mina, and Hotaru would probably be curious about how she is made and her AI, I doubt they would push her for details or anything. She’ll be treated as the child she seems to be rather than as a robot. Pinnacle: After the initial encounter and the discussion by the river, I see Pinnacle not having any real difficulty getting along with the Senshi. Since I think she is an adult, they will put her up at a local hotel and show her around Tokyo as time permits. Most of the Senshi are fairly new to having their powers as well. We’ve only been actively working as a team for about a semester, so we can understand the insecurities of being a new hero and probably some of the challenges she faces. We may well end up exchanging stories and ideas. Along with trying to exchange advice and solutions to the problems each group is facing. Superbadger: Considering that Superbadger is a former criminal and seems to be at least somewhat ruthless, he might not object as much as some of the others to the Senshi’s methods. However, I don’t see him having a great deal of desire to spend time with a group of teenagers, or anyone really. The Senshi will be willing to respect that fact. Most likely once they provide him with the information he will need for the week and see about getting him set up, they will follow his wishes and leave him to his own devices. Though they will check in on rare occasions to make sure that there aren’t any problems. Air Raider: Air Raider, of course, won’t object when the Senshi end the fight by destroying their enemy. Though during their initial discussion with him, the Senshi will quickly find themselves disturbed by his attitude and tactics, especially if he mentions that he even kills petty human criminals after he’s caught them breaking the law three times. The Senshi will provide him with a rundown on the world and if necessary provide him funds to stay at a nearby hotel. They will firmly request that he moderate his approach during the visit, and not kill anyone unless it is in the defense of a life. They may attempted to encourage him to allow the police to handle the human level criminals. Though I doubt he’s going to listen to a group of kids. I think they are going to be uncomfortable with this situation. He’s a normal human and will be dealing with normal humans, that’s something they generally don’t interfere with. Also, he’s right on the borderline between villain and hero. Making it a bit harder to say, "If we catch you killing someone, we will treat you like any other threat.” Ultimately, I think they are mostly going to avoid him or just keep a subtle eye on him. And if they see him going too far, give the police an anonymous tip. (However, if he has real powers instead of just weapons and gear, they won’t involve the police and will find a way to deal with it themselves. Probably by freezing him in place for a while and subjecting him to a nice long lecture. And if that doesn’t work, using more forceful methods.”) Hardware: Hardware will most likely have a very pleasant and productive stay with the Senshi. As the father of a teenager, he will have experienced relating to teenagers in general. Additionally, Mina and Zane will both be very intrigued to discover that he is an gadgeteer. During the week they will probably exchange ideas and notes on quite a few projects. And Mina will enjoy the chance to show off some of the items she’s most proud of to someone that actually works for a high tech company. She is very gifted and has a natural talent for mechanics and electronics. Hardware may well wish he could recruit her for the company where he works. Once Mina has grown comfortable with him, she may well seek his advice on some of the issues she’s dealing with.
  2. Re: Warp's Crossovers Trapped in a different world and having caught the attention of a group of superheroes that are substantially more powerful than her, that can apparently read her mind (or at least sense if she's being honest), and that are her best chance of getting home. Cannis is going to be on her best behavior. The only way she's going to commit a crime under these types of circumstances is if there is just an utterly irresistible temptation (not much sense in stealing something if its just going to get taken away from you and probably keep you from getting home), or someone manages to push one of her buttons hard (IHA, someone abusing an animal, etc.) Warp won't have any difficulty engaging her in conversations, so long as he and the others have been at least reasonably polite. She will listen to him, respond to his arguments, and he and the others actually might have a certain degree of influence. He may well end up noticing that some of her stated beliefs don't actually match up with the way she truly is. She's actually a good bit nicer than she really thinks she should be. For instance, for all that she claims that only the opinions of her pack matter, she actually does care what other people including normal humans think of her. (She even felt bad when Wheeler, one of the heroes on her world gave her a disappointed look. Though she so isn't going to admit that to her teammates.) Still I doubt he'll be able to reform her really. She truly believes in and trusts Adam. And he has seen what the future is like if they don't manage to change it. Cannis is NOT willing to live in that future. Additionally, he would discover that she is incredibly loyal to her packmates. She won't turn her back on them. Nor will she agree to leave them to stay on this world, even if mutants do have a better life here. Though she will thank him for the offer. Sailor Io's world does have comic books, so she probably could adjust to the weirdness of the Sentenal's world more readily than they could adjust to the weirdness of hers. Actually, though she would try to hide it, she probably would feel quite a bit of jealousy about how easy they have it. Support systems, the ability to turn threats over to the police, no need to hide. Mina's father is a fairly successful business man. So while she and the rest of the Senshi live in Japan, there is a slim chance that if Warp's secret id exists in her world, she's at least heard reference to it. If she had, she'd be more than willing to tell him what she does know. Once she comes to trust and respect the Sentenals, which I see happening fairly rapidly, there probably will be a LOT of philosophical discussions during the week she is there. With her trying to get advice on how to handle the very grey situations that she and her friends face so frequently and for that matter are currently dealing with. Warp will quickly discover that she's not as innocent and naive as she looks. She can't afford to be. Though, I don't think there will be any doubt that she is a good person. Frankly, if she's lucky Starguard or someone will drag her off for ice cream and get her mind completely off of her world for a while. Io tends to put a lot of pressure on herself and a break really would be good for her. (To be honest, I'd love to role play this one out, especially considering everything that had happened just before we put the Sailor Moong game on hold. Sailor Io is going to have a lot of really hard decisions to make in the coming months.) I'll do my list of WWYCDs a bit later. Still need to think on them for a while.
  3. Re: Alternate Earth #24: Iron Age I have to admit, I keep thinking how interesting it would be to have Starguard fall through a portal and end up in Sailor Io's world for just a few days. I can't quite figure out what would happen, but I know having a very powerful, rather naive girl that is used to the world knowing about superpowers suddenly appear would cause some significant changes. Plus, I think a meeting between Starguard and Sailor Io would just be fun. They both are powerful young women trying very hard to do the right thing. Just very different worlds and feelings about what the right thing is.
  4. Re: Alternate Earth #22—World of your Dreams Cannis grew up in a world where mutants are not subject to prejudice or persecuted but rather seen as an elite and treated with celebrity and reverence. By day she is a renowned scholar in para-genetics and zoology and a beloved gymnast who has made a fortune from her abilities. Rarely, and just for the fun of it, she engages in “impossible†thefts. And even that aspect of her has become a bit of a legend with several books and movies featuring the brilliant and crafty thief. Her father never went to prison and both of her parents are still alive and doing well. She visits them regularly. Adam sought her out because he was impressed with her talents and abilities and they are currently dating. The rest of her teammates also play a significant role in her life, though primarily associate socially rather than working together as criminals. And of course, she still has a pack of enhanced dogs that she considers friends and practically family. She will be depressed about being awoken from such a pleasurable fantasy, but since overall she is happy with her life, it won’t have as painful of an effect on her as it would on some others. In Sailor Io’s dream world, the Moon Kingdom never feel, and the Mah-ki were never banished. Instead, a way was found for the Mah-ki and their human families to live safely on the Moon and the Moon Kingdom is now a shining home for members of all the races. The Moon Kingdom is once again considering reestablishing relationships with earth, and a group of young nobles, the Senshi are being trained for that task. Io and her friends are currently attending a special high school, where in addition to a standard education, they are trained in the use of their powers, tactics, and diplomacy. Io, a star student, is being groomed for a leadership role. She and her betrothed knight, Bladestar, are deeply in love and their relationship is going very smoothly as are the relationships of her various friends. Vash still lives and is one of their teachers. Io has a bit of a crush on him and respects him a great deal. As logical as Io is, she may well start noticing certain discrepancies in her vision as her friends try to free her from the Black Mercy. Once she is free, she will be depressed for a while but ultimately the vision may well provide her with a goal. Maybe the Moon Kingdom doesn’t exist now, but perhaps it can be recreated and the glorious world she saw can eventually exist, if they try hard enough.
  5. Re: Unusual Character Ideas Ok, now you have me curious. Can you give some examples please. While I can see some usefulness to being able to change the colors of things, hard to hide or change to your secret id if you are bright blue, I think a lot of villians wouldn't be intimidated by "Stop or I'll turn this wall green."
  6. Re: Alternate Earth #24: Iron Age Cannis—current game is Bronze Age. In an iron age setting, Cannis and her teammates would be far more ruthless in their pursuit of mutant issues and Adam probably would be out to conquer the world and dominate or destroy regular humans. Cannis would not have a reluctance to kill and would use bladed killing weapons instead of her staff. Several of her personality traits would be taken to extremes. She would be very tribalistic, seeing only her packmates and friends as important. Cannis would see everyone else as either an enemy or a useful ally. But even the allies could be sacrificed in the blink of an eye because they don’t really matter, only the pack does. Additionally, she would have a very strong belief that power and ability are what matters. If someone is strong enough to take something from you, then they deserve it, unless you are strong enough to get it back. Sailor Io—current game is the stainless steel version of iron age. The Senshi already are flawed heroes attempting to do the right thing in a world that is filled with shades of gray rather than black and white. Since the world has no clue that supernatural beings exist, the Senshi are forced to take matters into their own hands and fights often are deadly simply because the only real options are often negotiate, threaten, or kill. Additionally, they often have to deal with how their abilities and obligations affect their everyday life. Still, the game lacks a lot of the less desireable iron age elements. While all of the Senshi are flawed, they are clearly recognizable as heroes (Mostly). Violence is rarely their first choice. And while there are quite a few romantic conflicts, there is little sex and no casual sex. In a rusty iron game, Salior Io would not use attack words and violence would be her first choice rather than her second. She’d probably wear a more daring costume and she would be sleeping with Bladestar by now. Additionally, while she was captured by Vash, she may well have been seduced by him physically rather than just having an interesting unresolved romantic tension. Bladestar’s dark half would be a good bit more deadly and would show up more frequently. Though, even in the rustiest iron of games, I don’t see him ever lashing out at her. Others might well feel the brunt of his wrath.
  7. Re: Cheese Meisters Assemble! Create "The Spin Doctor" Frankly, I’d take a straight forward approach to this one. After all, high characteristics and skills can be just as good, if not better, than powers. Start by giving him or her an incredibly high presence. According to the Champions Genre book a superhuman presence is 51+. That seems a bit high to me, but I would go with at least a 30+. Then go with superhuman interaction skills: Acting 20-30+ Conversation 20-30+ High Society 20-30+ Oratory 20-30+ Persuasion 20-30+ Seduction 20-30+ Next, include in a wide assortment of contacts, a good reputation, membership in several powerful groups. Finally add a sprinkling of languages and some relevant AK and KS skills. You end up with an incredibly potent character for a very reasonable price. Additionally it is much simpler and quite possibly cheaper than trying to do it as a mentalist.
  8. Re: Alternate Earth #23(?): Living In The Wild, Wild West Cannis headed West to escape the scandal surrounding her family (a father arrested for stealing from his employer, a mother overdosing on landum). As Lisa, she quickly developed a reputation as having a magic touch with animals, traveling from city to city with an assortment of exotic pets to help train otherwise unmanageable beasts. People generally didn’t notice that some of their more appealing and valuable possessions were gone until long after she’d left and she was rarely, if ever, blamed for any of the seemingly impossible thefts. Ultimately, she picked the wrong person to steal from and was caught. Fortunately, Adam, a robber baron, was so amused at her daring and pleased by her abilities that he offered her a job. Now she, along with a group of others, works for him, dealing with any threats to his power and helping protect/recruit any other people with special abilities. Primary differences: No formal training in the biological sciences, though she still has a knack for animal breeding. More wilderness type skills. Her powers are a good bit more effective since animals are extremely common. She’s never been overly fond of guns and still wouldn’t be. Probably would make use of a whip and knives. Mina (Sailor Io) is the daughter of a well-to-do merchant in one of the largest old west cities. She and her betrothed, Zane, are both extremely skilled with steampunk technology, though most people just assume that they enjoy tinkering and making toys. She, along with a mixed assortment of friends, attend a private boarding school by day and protect the citizens of Denver from supernatural menaces at night. Primary differences: Really, she wouldn’t be all that different. The skirt of her costume would have to be quite a bit longer. She’d probably be planning to marry Zane after graduating from high school rather than planning to go to college. She wouldn’t carry a gun, though she might have one or two exotic steam punk weapons for cases of emergency. (Her powers are far more effective than any six shooter.)
  9. Alternate Earth #22—World of your Dreams Your character has been exposed to black mercy ivy, a plant that traps its victim in a fantasy of his or her perfect life. Your teammates will rescue you soon. But in the meantime, what do you dream?
  10. Re: WWYCD #115: Xerox Paradox...Baby Blues! If we encountered students from the Arcadian Academy (and they were very like the traditional X-Men), Cannis’ would probably see them as naïve and rather foolish and probably try talking a bit of sense into them with statements like these. After they protected some anti-mutant types: “You know, I just can’t understand why you are out here risking yourselves to protect them. While I think the City’s Champions are foolish, at least the city financially supports them and they get praised and loved for their actions. Meanwhile, your doing this for what…the off-chance that maybe you’ll change one of their minds about you. It won’t work, they don’t hate mutants because of something mutants did, they hate mutants because of what we are—Superior.†“Don’t you get it. Mutants are wolves among sheep. We are stronger, faster, more dangerous. And humanity fears predators and tries to destroy them or at least cage them. Look at the wolf after all, bounties put on its head, hunted to near extinction not that many decades ago. You seem to think that if you pretend that you aren’t wolves, if you try to act as guard dogs, they will accept you.†She shakes her head, “It might seem to work for a while. They may tolerate you because you are useful. But they’ll still fear you, still hate the fact that they are weaker than you. You’ll never truly be one of them.†If someone tries the “with great power, comes great responsibility lineâ€: Cannis laughs. “Oh, I’m sorry….you were serious? Ok, I suppose you are partially right. In order to keep the pack strong, strong members should help those that are weaker. But just because one is superior in some way doesn’t mean that they owe the entire world something. Are professional athletes expected to perform hard labor for people just because they have better bodies? Is the high school brain obligated to use his superior intellect to do his classmates homework as well as his own? Of course not. So why should mutants feel obligated to serve humanity just because we have an ability they lack. If anything it should be the reverse. Throughout history the weak have served the strong, not the other way around.â€
  11. Re: WWYCD #21: Meet George Jetson... Cannis: Adam actually fits the role of Nemos quite well. After all, he came back in time to prevent the world from turning out like it did in his time. Quick version of future history: First regular person to come out as a mutant loses a civil rights case. Tons of controversy. Mutant registration act passes. Council convened to discussion mutants and humanity. Council destroyed by unknown group. Mutants blamed. Anti-mutant violence rises. Mutants fight back. Mutants start getting put in containment camps. Mutants create their own country. War. Aliens attack, taking out the mutant containment camps and mutant country first. Humanity, now lacking the ability to stop them, loses. Civilization destroyed, earth stripped of useful resources. Centuries later humanity sort of rebuilds but is a feudal system and life isn’t good. One of the main reasons Adam has us working for him is to “correct issues†and see if we can’t make history work out better. If someone else came from the future claiming we were “destroying it,†all of us would take Adam’s side and would fight to protect Adam if he needed us to. Frankly, the version of the future Adam showed Cannis scared her. She’ll fight very hard to keep it from happening and she’s not all that knowledgeable about spacetime paradoxes anyhow. She can get her mind around, “mutants in cages†a lot easier than “swirling time vortexes†or whatever. Sailor Io would be a bit iffy about trusting someone claiming to be from the future in the first place, especially if her teams mystics couldn’t get any type of a vibe off of him. Though, if his advise was proving helpful, she would work with him. When Radox appeared, she and the Senshi would stay out of the fight, listening carefully to what each of them had to say. Io is enough of a science fiction fan to believe that there are multiple streams of the future, and if one is changed then everyone involved just gets sent a new direction. She and the Senshi would just continue doing what they thought was right. And if that meant occasionally getting a tip from Nemos, then so be it. The future is what you make of it after all.
  12. Re: Wwycd #119: Kltpzyxm! Cannis: “So everyone in the world is now a superhero? I suppose I was needing a vacation anyhow.†She spends the next week driving Mxyptlk crazy by being incredibly boring: working in her lab, playing with her dogs, watching TV, not committing any crimes. Actually, the news reports on TV probably would be fun to watch. A world full of people each wanting to be the hero just sound like it would have a lot of problems. Sailor Io: “Puck’s Halloween prank was much better.†She and the Senshi do what they can locally to minimize any physical harm to or from the newly transformed individuals while working on a way to reverse the spell. She and the rest of the Senshi also try to find some way to deal with the Mxyzptlk. When negotiating with him fails, they eventually trick him into saying his name and bring everything back to normal.
  13. Re: WWYCD #115: Xerox Paradox...Baby Blues!
  14. Re: WWYCD #117: My friend VIPER. Cannis certainly isn’t going to object to help from a villain group, though after the second save she’s going to start getting suspicious. Help from packmates and even heroes is normal. After all packmates watch each others backs and heroes seem to think they need to guard everyone. But, another group of villains isn’t going to be helping her without wanting something in exchange and them not telling her what it is that they are expecting will quickly begin to frustrate her. Once she hears the reference to Legend, she’s going to do as much research as possible, making use of her streetwise and maybe even breaking into a viper base to look for information. (There isn’t a Viper in Sailor Io’s world, so I will just assume that they are members of one of the various groups of supernaturals the Senshi deal with.) Initially Io and the rest of the Senshi just assume that the rescue was due to an internal conflict among the Mah-ki or some type of battle between the two groups. But as the rescues continue against a diverse range of foes, Io starts getting a bit curious, especially after she hears the mumble about “Legend.†Admittedly there are already plenty of legends and tales about the Senshi out there, but Io will want to find out what this one states. She will try gathering information from various allies and if that doesn’t work, she will eventually freeze one of the rescuers and keep him there until he tells the Senshi what is going on.
  15. Re: WWYCD? #116: A Tech Support Problem Just out of curiousity, who is ARGENT. I don’t remember them in the Conquerors, Killers, and Crooks book. Cannis agrees to help and begins hunting for Argent. Over the course of several nights, she quietly steals back the equipment and causes a nice assortment of property damage. Although she does have access to a gadgeteer already, he is known as a cranky old dwarf for a reason. So she does accept the million dollars worth of gadgetry asking for such things as infrared contact lenses, security disabling devices, a stealth car, and possibly some very high tech lab equipment. Sailor Io is a bit worried about the thought of one of her groups of opponents now having gadgets as well as their own powers. She first questions Toymaker extensively about exactly what they stole and how the items can best be countered and spends a bit of time working with Bladestar and Toymaker to create some disabling devices. That done she and the rest of the Senshi deal with the Argent equivalent, not worrying to much about any damage done to the items they stole. She doesn’t really need gadgets from Toymaker, she and Bladestar are probably as good if not better than he is at creating the technology they need. But, between school, dealing with supernatural threats, dating, homework, and hanging out with friends, there never is enough time in the day. She might request Toymaker create a few items for her, though she and Bladestar would both look over them very carefully before they actually put them into use.
  16. Re: WWYCD #115: Xerox Paradox...Baby Blues! Cannis, less than amused, starts out by finding and dealing with the lab where her clones are being created. Once she finds it, she slips in quietly when no one is there, and takes all of the notes while smiling to herself. ~It might be interesting to see how the City’s Champions react to having clones of themselves running around.~ Once that is done, she takes any equipment that is readily portable and destroys the rest. Depending on what other types of research activities the company or lab is engaged in, the building itself just may end up burned to the ground once she makes sure no one is in it. Once that is done, she sets about finding the clones. After they spend about six months or so with Cannis and the rest of her packmates learning the proper way of viewing the world, Cannis asks for Adam to arrange for them to be sent to the equivalent of Professor X’s School for Mutants. She still spends time with them, though the relationship is more sister/friend than maternal. Sailor Io focuses her attention on the six younger versions of herself. She and her teammates track them down, she freezes them, and then the Senshi take as much time as necessary to talk some sense into the new young Senshi. Ultimately, the older senshi and the younger senshi work together to deal with the individual copying them and insure that it won’t happen any more. Once the problem is resolved, Io looks at the six children, ponders, and then picks up the phone. “Mom, Dad….â€
  17. Re: Alternate Earth 20: Paradise Island Lost In this world, Cannis' mother was the one arrested for fraud and her father, unable to handle life without a wife's support was the one that ended up overdosing on alcohol and valium. The rest of her history is basically the same though her gymnastics scholarship might have provided a bit more in the way of spending money and it might have taken her a bit longer to start supplementing her funds with theft. She still works for Adam, though now instead of being a wealthy industrialist, he probably married for success multiple times. Her personality isn't all that much different, though she probably leads the team instead of Anteaus. Sailor Io is much the same. (The power in her group already rests with the females to a significant degree.) There are substantially more females in her Cyber-tech class at school now. Her boyfriend Bladestar/Zane probably would be changed the most. He and the rest of the male senshi probably wouldn't be as involved in the battles as they are currently. And instead of protecting Mina by not telling her about some of the things that are worrying him (namely his dark side), Zane may well let her know so that she can try to help.
  18. Re: WWYCD #114: Ah, Love or Aw, Crud?
  19. Re: WWYCD #114: Ah, Love or Aw, Crud? Diabolical. Of course, he could always do what one of my character's stalkers did and decide your job is too dangerous. Thus hiring you a bodyguard. A significantly less powerful than you but incredibly persistant bodyguard that insists on following you everywhere.
  20. Re: WWYCD #114: Ah, Love or Aw, Crud? And I thought our GM was bad. Though hmm...come to think of it, we've definately had at least a few triangles along with one near pentagon. Wait a second. Starguard and FOXBAT?!?!
  21. Re: WWYCD #115: Xerox Paradox...Baby Blues! ::chuckles:: If my GM reads this and suddenly Mini-Io's (with pink hair, an attitude much like Chibi-Usa from the Sailor Moon series, and that think they are in love with Bladestar) start showing up....I am so going to blame you. I'm going to have to think about this one.
  22. Re: WWYCD? #113: What If God Was One Of Us? Well unfortunately for the universe, a supervillaness now has the power of God. Fortunately, said villainess is much closer to selfish than evil and has absolutely no desire to rule the world. She’s noticed exactly how much work it is to run a multibillion dollar company, and has conclude that ruling the country or the world would be even more work and even less fun. She first heals herself, her pets, her teammates and any animals that assisted her in the fight and then gives herself and them a substantial power boost as a thank you. Next she puts the worlds back to normal, she happens to like her planet undevastated, and heals the innocents that were killed in the damage. She considers for a moment and with some hesitation heals most of the super heroes. Any of them that have ever attempted to kill her or her teammates instead of just capturing/taking to jail/etc can fend for themselves. That done, of the next few days, she starts fixing the world to her satisfaction. At least one company known for experimenting on mutants is going to vanish along with all of the guilty employees. The lives of mutants and animals are both going to improve. She has nothing against having pets, or even humanly treated lab animals, but anyone that is attempting to torture an animal for the fun of it (including dog fights, etc) are going to quickly regret it. So will anyone attacking a mutant, except in the case of self defense. She already lives in a gorgeous estate (Adam’s) but her room is going to suddenly get a whole heck of a lot more impressive. Adam and her packmates are going to get incredible presents. Her friends and Adam will be able to influence a lot of the choices she makes. Ultimately, I don’t think the results for the world would be that bad. Though I’m sure that the supers are still going to think they have to get it away from her and destroy it. Sailor Io first uses the glove to heal her friends and everyone that fought beside them, and restore the devastated world and dimensions. Next, realizing that there needs to be a safe haven for all of the races, she reestablishes the Moon Kingdom, trying to make sure that this time people from all the races Moonite, Mah-ki, Joo-jin-ki, Vandorians, Gregori, Sarim, Celetines, humans, etc can survive there comfortably. The goal will to make the Moon shining example of how things should be. Though actually inhabiting it may wait until later, after they’ve finished school. Additionally, now she has the power to safely approach members of all the races and negotiate any truces that need to be negotiated. She additionally attempts to determine if the powers of the glove can be split without damaging them, and if so, splits the abilities among the Senshi. If not, Io will use the crystal carefully, planning through all the decisions she makes. She will generally consulting with her friends and if she ends up Queen of the Moon Kingdom a council of advisors before making large changes. (I can see something along these lines happening at the end of the campaign. Once we gain all three of the Impergium Crystals).
  23. Re: Superman for President? If you can find it, the Marvel Comic, “What if Captain America Had Been Elected President?†(What if #26) Would be a wonderful resource and covers a lot of what people have been discussing. Ideas for Pargon: Paragon probably would be best off getting the nomination from an already existing minor third party. (Captain America was nominated by the Populists). He needs to have some sort of political support system in place in order to handle all the details. Paragon would be wise to choose a vice president that is already part of the system. That is what Captain America did. Captain America to the Senator he asked to be his running mate, “I think I can get elected but if a president can’t work with congress he might as well have lost. I like your voting record and you know the Washington scene. I’ll need a partner with those qualifications to make up for my lack of experience.†[What if #26] As for the secret id problem. Captain America handled it as follows: “And to my detractors, those who say that you do not know the face behind my mask. I answer that I have served my country proudly since 1941 in this mask and I do not intend to stop when elected. Still, when I am elected, I will reveal my identity—as I have to my running mate to show that my mask will not come between me and the people I serve.†[What if #26] And of course, he’s got to come up with more to his platform than "Vote for me, since the villains can't kill me. And I'm pretty resistant to mind-control, too." Which he already knows. People are going to ask him everything from his views on the economy, to abortion, to military spending, etc. Ideas for his opponents: Considering that Paragon is probably a national hero, and likely to end up protecting the next president if he doesn’t get elected, his opponents will realize that running his name through the mud would be likely to backfire. They would be wise allow the media and outside groups to drag up any interesting personal details about him and instead focus on the issues. They may be able to do well debating issues against him, since he doesn’t seem to have a great platform yet. That said, I like Fireman election example Chuckg posted. That would be a brilliant strategy on the part of one of his opponents. The World in General: There is going to be a media frenzy. Some in favor, some against. Everything Paragon has done in the public eye and a good bit that he did privately is going to be dragged out and discussed. (One of my college professors once stated that the reason we aren’t getting the caliber of presidents that the U.S. used to is because the truly great men don’t want to deal with all the privacy invasion. They’d rather make their mark in industry, through charities, and in other places where they don’t have to worry about their lives and the lives of their families and friends being dragged through the mud. Is a good point really. And it will have an impact on Paragon.) There is going to be tons of controversy. Probably more than there would be about electing a female, black, or gay president. There will be picketers, speeches, and conspiracy theories and quite probably some violence about all of this. I wouldn’t rule out assassination attempts either. The other superhumans will get involved. Some will speak out in favor, some against. Some will state that they don’t endorse political candidates. Some will work behind the scenes to help him or stop him. Even some villains may support him. Our team of villains would, for the simple fact that getting a superhuman in office would be considered a good thing. Any enemies are going to find ways to take advantages of this. And some villains are going to deliberately stage crimes when he’s busying speaking or out of the city campaigning and not free to stop them. There is going to be a record turn out of voters. After he is elected: He may still be able to do some crime fighting in his free time (after all, most heroes do have full time jobs and still fight crime), but it is going to be harder and there will be a lot more scrutiny and criticism about it probably. There will probably be some amusing scenes between him and the Secret Service men assigned to protect him. He is going to become increasingly unpopular with some groups as he begins to push for stronger laws in regards to superhumans. Some former supporters may feel betrayed, if he promotes something like a registration act and they hadn’t realized he was planning to do so. An increase in technology will spill over into non-law enforcement/military applications probably. Which will be a good thing. Enemies will continue to target him though some will be more subtle and devious about it. And he will have a lot of new enemies. As for the player: Depending on the campaign, being president could either be a lot of fun or very tedious. It would work much better for a solo campaign than for one with a team. Otherwise, it will be hard for him to remain as involved with group missions, etc.
  24. Re: WWYCD #114: Ah, Love or Aw, Crud? If it is anyone other than Adam or Angelica, Cannis talks with them over desserts and tries to figure out what the appeal is. After listening to the ravings of a person in love for a while, she nods and excuses herself. Over the next few days she investigates physically and by have assorted animals keep an eye on the situation for her. Once she is certain that nothing seems to be going on, she gets busy with fittings for her bridesmaid dress ~Why did she have to pick –THIS- shade of pink~ and shopping for the ideal present. If Adam, Cannis suffers definite pangs of jealousy and spends quite a few nights snarling about it in her room once she is unable to find any signs he’s being tricked or forced into this. “Why did he pick –HER-?†Though strongly tempted to find a way to scare off or remove her rival, she knows full well that Adam would notice and probably object, which wouldn’t help in the long run. She’d end up being polite though feeling miserable and throwing herself into her work. Wheeler (superhero) just might find his attempts at flirting got a bit more productive as well If Angelica (Adam’s 17 year old daughter), Cannis focuses on keeping Adam calm. (Io has been through this one more than once) Sailor Io is initially supportive if a bit confused. But once marriage is mentioned, she gets a lot more worried. “Are you pregnant?†(or “Is she pregnant?â€) She looks relived at the denial. “I know that the breakup with (insert former boyfriend or girlfriend here since practically all the Senshi are currently involved with someone) hurt a lot and I know that you don’t want to risk losing (new person). But, don’t you think it might be a good idea to wait at least until you finish high school, if not college. You know how much I love Bladestar and that I have every intention of spending the rest of my life with him, but we aren’t even considering getting married until later. If (new person) loves you as much as s/he seems to, s/he is going to want what is best for you. And not finishing high school can’t be what’s best for you. Besides, its not as by waiting you are losing anything. You still can spend time together, talk with each other, and so on. You just don’t have to worry about getting minimum wage jobs to pay bills, cleaning house, cooking, and so on.†If the teammate is one of the scouts, she then makes sure that the associated brother, knight, etc. doesn't overreact. Some of them have shown a strong tendency to consider beating up people who talk their sister into dropping out of school and getting married.
  25. Re: WWYCD? #112: Polly Want A Cracker? Cannis grins as she listens to the news report and then glances over to the parrot perched on the back of a chair near the TV. “I knew rescuing you would be a good idea.†She chuckles, “I have a feeling this could be the start of a very profitable relationship. You share ideas and tactics and I see to it that you get the best assortment of crackers and fruit available.†Her expression grows a bit more firm. “I am –NOT- dressing up as a pirate though. And all five of my dogs have to approve.†For the life of me, I can’t quite figure out how to make this one fit in the Sailor Moon campaign. But for the sake of the WWYCD will just assume that somehow the Senshi managed to get a parrot criminal mastermind. Sailor Io smiles as she glances from the parrot to three other pets in the room, all of which are just as sentient as the parrot seems to be. Jade (Io’s parrot), Sebastian (Centari’s cat), and Dameon (Moon’s Dragonrabbit) all return her glance. “I know you three always seem to get left out of the action. Would you like to handle this one?†She sits back to watch, ready to interfere if the new parrot suddenly transforms into something that could actually hurt the pets.
