    WWYCD Index

Re: WWYCD Index Agreed, nicely done. ::smiles:: I had been considering finding all of the WWYCD, Alternate Earth threads, etc. Answering them all, and then giving the book to my GM as part of her Christmas present. This will make that easier. :: ponders:: I wonder if a GM would like that as a present, or if I should just stick to the usual combination of game book + novel.
  2. Re: WWYCD #110- Dark Guardian Cannis pivots warily, searching the room for whoever is giving her that creepy feeling. As no threat appears, she relaxes slightly, and sits down next to the girl. “That’s cool. I always wanted a guardian angel of my own. Has Eddie protected you from people before today?†She chats a bit with the girl becoming more and more convinced that they have discovered a new mutant. Finally, when the time seems right she asks, “Would you and Eddie mind if I snipped of just a tiny bit of your hair. It won’t hurt at all.†Provided she can get the girl to agree and nothing attacks her while she does so, she takes the sample home and tests it to determine whether or not the girl is a mutant. If the girl is a mutant, Cannis, of course, tells Adam and probably ends up contacting the campaign Professor X equivalent. If not, Cannis may keep an eye out for a while to see if she can determine what mutant has taken an interest in the girl. But, unless the girl is the daughter of someone Cannis personally cares about, she doesn’t worry about it to much. Sailor Io glances around suspiciously and then looks to Magnus and Sailor Centari to see if they sense anything and if they are acting as if they think it is evil/dangerous. Io continues to speak with the girl in a non-threatening manner, attempting to find out as much as she can about Eddie. She asks questions like, “How did you first meet Eddie? Does he only show up when you are in danger or do you speak with him other times too? Has he ever had to protect you from someone before? What happened?†After she finds out as much as she can from the girl, she addresses the room, “Eddie, would you please come out and speak with us for a bit.†If he doesn’t show himself, she asks the girl to summon him. The senshi and Eddie have a nice talk about his plans and intentions and provided all he is doing is protecting the girl and he isn’t actually hurting anyone, the Senshi leave him in peace. They possibly even commend him for choosing to devote himself to taking care of a little girl.
  3. Re: WWYCD #111: Hero Worship Posted on behalf of another person in our campaign who doesn't belong to the forums. "Frigid: Uses them to his own ends as his own private army of zealots Oden: Uses them to his own ends as his own private army of zealots. After all, so long as you are using them to do good, its heroic." (Not quite sure I agree with him on the heroic part.)
  4. Re: WWYCD #111: Hero Worship Cool question. Cannis’ initial startlement is replaced by a feeling of pleasure. ~Why shouldn’t they worship me. After all the Greeks worshiped Artemis, and she was probably a mutant too. Most likely the whole pantheon was. So why can’t I be equivalent to a modern day Artemis.~ She smiles ~My packmates are going to be so jealous. Hopefully Adam won’t mind.~ Over the coming weeks she keeps an eye on her church and her followers, making occasional appearances to encourage them to take actions she would like, lobby for changes, etc. In return, she keeps a loose eye on them and protects them if need be. She may negotiate a deal with a few local birds along the lines of: my followers will feed and take care of you, and if they truly need my help, you will come tell me what is going on. Mina stares in shock as she hears a minor “Odd things Happening Locally†piece on the news about a new Cult forming around Sailor Io. ~How did this happen?!?!~ She, along with several of her friends, attend a few cult meetings in their secret ids to see what is being taught, if it seems like some sort of plot, etc. Provided she does not disapprove of the church’s teaching, no one seems to be being hurt, and it isn’t some sort of evil plot, Io leaves the church alone. After all, its not as if there is really anything wrong with people being taught thinks like: “Strive to do your best. Take care of your friends. Help others. Negotiate first but if you have to fight to protect yourself or other do so. Etc.†She does occasionally (once every few months or so), check in to make sure that nothing has changed. And, since the church is probably a target for attacks by her enemies, she probably checks that area a bit more frequently than she otherwise would.

Re: Wwycd #109 Cannis smirks to herself. ~They want to make a Cannis Burger, not a Wheeler Burger or a McCray Burger. Got to respect the taste of a company that knows that villains are better than heroes. Still….plastic toys, chirpy music, a burger joint.…Hmm, and how am I supposed to cash checks addressed to Cannis.~ She ponders for a second, still smiling at the entrepreneur. “I appreciate the offer. I really do. And you’re right, we should market ourselves a bit more. But I just don’t think a burger joint is the best way to go about it.†She smiles as with a graceful leap she bounds to a second floor fire escape, from it leaps to a flag pole, swinging around it and landing on a nearby rooftop. ~Hmm…Cannis T-shirts and toys….~ She continues on her way. Sailor Io stares in startled disbelief as she realizes the business man they rescued, instead of running away from the monster like an intelligent person, is still standing there and is now offering to create a Senshi Burger. She shakes her head and hopes Sailor Centari is in position to stick a hand over Sailor Moon’s mouth before Moon can ask if they could have free ice cream each time they went to the restaurants. “No...just…no.â€
  6. Re: Does your character blog? Cannis: Cannis probably does not have any fan webpages yet. But as she and her group get a bit better known, a few are likely to pop up. After all, at least some teens are likely to think attractive villanesses are cool. She hasn’t even thought to look for a fan web page yet, but if she did find some, curiosity would lead to her doing occasionally searches for them and checking them every now and again. Cannis does not have a personal webpage as either Cannis nor as Lisa. She might be tempted to create a webpage for Cannis. But, since several of the City’s Champions are geniuses, she would be concerned that they could use it to track down her secret id. If she did create one, it would probably have pictures, a few essays, and maybe a video clip of one or two of her training sessions. She wouldn’t be interested in maintaining a blog. (hmm…now I’m wanting to make a website for Cannis.) For work, Cannis (as Lisa) visits quite a few scientific websites and forums, especially those that focus on genetics and biology. She also skims through some of the museum website pages to see if anything interesting is going to be appearing. Cannis doesn’t spend much time on the internet for fun. And would just visit whatever pages had happened to catch her interest at the time. Sailor Io: There are probably a small number of conspiracy webpages that mention the Senshi. Neither Io nor any of her friends have ever actually thought to look. If they did discover some, they’d probably read and giggle about the more bazaar theories. Mina would never create a webpage as Sailor Io since the Senshi are trying to keep their existence a secret. She doesn’t have the time or the inclination to create a page as Mina and even if she did, she most assuredly wouldn’t bother with a blog. Mina uses the internet for her homework. Additionally, she visits some technology sites, science fiction sites, sites relating to TV shows she likes, etc. She doesn’t belong to any mailing lists, but occasionally visits forums relating to TV shows or science fiction.

Re: Wwycd #107 Cannis and her packmates probably wouldn’t be hunting these individuals in the first place. But if they were, the would accept the money and let them go. Depending on what else Cannis and her teammates were doing at the moment, the might well volunteer to help. Sailor Io and her teammates would be a bit torn. Unfortunately the Senshi only have three possible ways of dealing with enemies. 1. Release after negotiation. 2. Release after threatening/harming. 3. Destroy. [That is one of the main problems in living in a world that doesn’t know about their existence and the existence of other supernatural beings. You can’t turn enemies over to the police.] Io would not accept the money. Not only would it set a horrible precedent, it would make her feel guilty. They would release the villain and the supers with a very strong warning that if he continues to murder people, she and her friends will be forced to stop them. But if they just stop and disappear now, the Senshi won’t keep looking for them.
  8. Re: WWYCD #106: [slightly Iron Age] Trial of a Teammate Cannis is extremely loyal to her packmates. Unless the victim was another member of her pack, she would support the teammate completely. Prior to the trial, she would be planning a rescue and would, so long as doing so wouldn’t put her in danger of getting arrested too, visit him on a regular basis. If she couldn’t visit, there would be some letters or care packages sent. Adam, of course, would subtly see to it that the teammate in question had the best lawyer money could buy. One the teammate is found guilty, Cannis immediately stages a rescue, though she does her best to minimize the damage done. (Life is significantly easier if you tend to knock police officers and heroes out rather than killing them. Plus, Cannis doesn’t kill innocents or even annoying boy-scout like heroes. Now non-innocents or people that are trying to kill her or her teammates are another story entirely). After the rescue, she listens in on the local news and takes exception to the fact that Trish Tilby claimed that the City’s Champions prevented a massacre. So, she ends up Trish an exclusive interview with her, during which she explaining the reasons behind the rescue and firmly points out that the Champions did not prevent a massacre because there wasn’t a planned massacre to prevent in the first place. (Everyone on Cannis’s team knows full well that it’s stupid to kill someone with tons of witnesses and cameras around.) As I mentioned above, this plot is based on the Sailor Moon game, so Io is going to be dealing with it eventually. Sailor Io silently blames herself at least in part, convinced that if she’d just done something differently, realized what was going on sooner, something, she could have prevented this. Of course, she doesn’t mention that part to her teammates, though her animal companion may get an earful about it one night. She and the others travel with Oden (the guilty party) to the alternate dimension. Even though all of them are angry and disappointed about his actions, he is a teammate and they’ve all been through far too much with each other for them to turn their backs on him. Io finds out as much as she can about how trials are handled there, what the laws and rules of procedure are, whether or not there are lawyers, etc. If need be, I could see Io acting as defense attorney and doing a decent job at it. Io will recommend that he explain. One: That he thought he was acting in defense of another. Oden believed that Puck had beaten the villainess and that he was using magic to prevent her from healing. Two: That the death was an accident. That he was attempting to scare Puck into removing the spell and assume that Puck was more powerful than he really was. Io, and probably all of the rest of the Senshi will testify. Io will tell the complete truth too. This in some ways will be a bad thing. After all, Io saw him chasing Princess Lily (Daughter of the king of the Fae Dimension) with his spear after Lily discovered he’d killed Puck. Io was the one that got in-between them and stopped him possibly from hurting a second person. However, Io can also testify to all the good that Oden has done as a Senshi. She can confirm that the villainess did appear to be badly injured and that other Senshi had not been able to heal her. She can mention some of the things that the villainess said when they discovered what she was up to. Etc. The Senshi will probably not try to capture Koto (the villainess) and bring her to stand trial as well. First, they believe that she is dead. And second, even if she was alive, she is incredibly dangerous in a fight. It would be next to impossible to capture her and keep her captured long enough to get her there. As for Part Two: What do the Senshi do if Oden is convicted and sentenced to death, life imprisonment or something equally bad? I honestly still don’t know. We could probably rescue Oden and get him to safety. But, Puck was our friend too. It would ruin our already tenuous relationships with the Selee fae. And ultimately, Oden did do an incredibly foolish and wrong thing.
  9. Re: WWYCD? #108 (I think)- Clash of the Titans Cannis quickly and wisely heads for home to let the rest of her packmates know what is going on. They then set about protecting Adam’s properties and the people that they care about. Cannis’ tendency to be nice, may well lead her into helping out a few people and definitely would lead her into rescuing any threatened animals. Actually, I can see it now. Cannis quickly heads through the troubled streets towards one of the Absolute-Zero Corporation buildings, only to slow as she hears a yelp of pain and terror. She quickly pivots searching for the dog, finding him trapped behind and under some rubble from a damaged building nearby. It only takes her a few moments to free the puppy, and she holds him in her arms, soothing him and accepting the licks of gratitude. About that time, a small boy in railroad pajamas shows up. “Blackie! You saved my dog. Are you a Superhero?†Cannis’s expression falters as she shakes her head and hands the dog to the boy. “No, I’m not one of the heroes.†She gives him a slight smile as she heads on her way muttering to herself. “A hero. A foolish do-gooder. Doing stuff for totally incomprehensible reasons. Not as if they are really appreciated. Everyone just expects them to help just because they have powers…†She continues grumbling to herself as she continues on her way. Sailor Io stares at the battling figures in shock and annoyance and then quickly calls her teammates on the communicator to let them know what is going on. The Senshi quickly try to do everything they can to lure the combatants out of the populated areas of Tokyo. But if that fails, they try to minimize the damage to the innocents in the city. I have a feeling Sailor Saturn will (much to her disgust) be put on healing detail. If we can get them away from the city, we will let them fight it out between themselves and then once they’ve finished deal with the now weakened combatants. If we can’t get them out of the city, we may well move into battle immediately, the faster we can get this ended, the less risk of exposure and the less damage to the city. (While the Senshi are powerful, they are in no way capable of handling a global conflict. Getting to other countries is very hard--its actually seems easier to get to other dimensions, though that isn't easy either. Tokyo will be their concern. Fortunately for them, in this campaign. Tokyo is the nexus of the dragon lines and almost all the bad guys show up there.)
  10. Re: WWYCD #106: [slightly Iron Age] Trial of a Teammate Ponders for a moment. Does the Sentinel's diplomatic immunity extend to all planets and dimensions? After all, if any group of heroes deals with individuals from all over the universe, it would be the Sentinels. If not, for the sake of argument, you could assume the victim and trial was on a planet or in a dimension where the immunity wouldn't hold. A planet that has strained relations with her homeworld perhaps. I didn't want to provide to many details so it could be as flexible as possible for everyone. Still I must admit, I am very curious to hear your groups responses. I could provide the full details from our specific game if you'd like.
  11. Re: WWYCD? #105: SuperWeapons & Tactics the Movie
  12. (This one may be a bit too dark for some of your tastes. But it is inspired by a not yet completed arch in the Sailor Moon Campaign and I’m hoping that I might get some ideas from this.) Part 1: One of your teammates is about to go on trial for the murder of an innocent/ally from another dimension (or foreign country). He is being tried by the authorities of that nation. While the authorities of the nation are “good guys,†they aren’t on the best of terms with you and your teammates. Not bad relations exactly, but there will be tension. Worse, the innocent killed, was well liked and well respected in this dimension. Your teammate freely admits to killing the individual and there is eyewitness testimony from reliable sources. However, he isn’t entirely to blame for his actions. He was manipulated and tricked by a super villainess into thinking he was saving her life by attacking this individual. Unfortunately, he was not under any type of mind control at the time, there was no “imminent danger to self or other,†and under her influence, he had been behaving in less than heroic ways in the days leading up to the incident. The villainess managed to escape during the confusion and is either dead or hasn’t been seen for a while. How do you prepare for the trial? Part 2: (I apologize if this part seems like a railroad. You don’t have to answer it if you don’t want to.) Unfortunately, despite your best efforts, your teammate was found guilty and sentenced to a fair but very harsh punishment (death, life in prison, etc). What do you do now?
  13. Re: Tank chargen: low-strength, high-soak Per the Ultimate Brick p. 36 (with more information on p. 33): "If a character buys Damage Resistance, the Advantages on his base PD/ED and the Damage Resistance have to match....Otherwise the advantage has no effect. A character can not, for example, buy Damage Resistence as Hardened unless his base PD/ED are also Hardened; if he does, the advantage has absolutely no effect." The rule makes a lot of sense to me, because otherwise you are penalizing characters that buy armor as hardened instead of buying a high PD/ED and then putting hardened Damage Resistence on it.
  14. Re: DMH: PHYs Lim: Hormonal I’m not sure if its official or not, but I tend to use the word “hormonal†to refer to moods brought on by my hormones being out of whack rather than what’s going on in the environment around me. Specifically, feeling either angry or depressed for no real reason.
  15. Re: WWYCD? #105: SuperWeapons & Tactics the Movie Cannis, curled up on the hotel bed next to a couple of her pets, watches the local news. She sits up and focuses her attention on the TV as she hears the words “one hundred million dollars.†Normally, she would check to see how Adam and her packmates want to handle it, but since they are half a continent away and she’s on vacation, she decides to handle this one on her own. She gently pets her dogs as she considers. ~One hundred million dollars is a lot of money and its not as if I’ve not helped with a prison break before. And he probably is a mutant. Still, he sounds like he’s eeevil, as Wheeler (Superhero on the team Cannis’s group usually fights) would put it. And Wheeler would get that hurt look if he though I’d rescued a mass murderer.~ She snarls slightly as she gets out of the bed and begins pacing through her room, a couple of her dogs trailing her while the rest just look on from their comfortable spots on the bed. ~I’m being weak. What Wheeler and Trish and such think doesn’t matter. The only people whose opinions matter are Adam and my packmates. And it is ONE HUNDRED MILLION Dollars.~ She frowns thoughtfully, bending down to scoop up Shadow and carry him with her as she continues to walk and think. ~The heroes and Primus will be expecting an attack of course, and I doubt that any of them are weaklings. And almost every villain in the area will be attempting to rescue him. That’s good in that it will keep the heroes busy, but bad in that I’m sure none of them would have the slightest problem with stabbing me in the back to claim the reward for themselves.~ She growls slightly as she plops back down on the bed, setting the pup down next to her. “Sorry guys, I know that I could get you a LOT of milk bones for one hundred million dollars along with quite a few trinkets for myself. But best case scenario, someone else will end up stealing Fiacho out from under us, and worst case, we’ll end up in Stronghold or in the hospital. Besides, I just don’t –like- that guy.†She smiles a bit as she adds, “Still, I’m sure we can find some way to profit off of this.†The dogs tails thump in agreement. I’m having a really hard time figuring out how to modify this scenario to work for Sailor Io. After all, there is nothing even close to a Stronghold, or a Primus. For that matter, the police and most humans don’t even know that the Senshi and their foes even exist. If Sailor Io and the Senshi were to engage in a battle against someone as murderous and ruthless as Fiacho and Eurostar, it would be a fight to the death. None of the Senshi have the slightest problem with killing someone that if allowed to survive would slaughter and perhaps torture dozens of innocent people. Depending on how good of physical shape they were in after the fight, they might well go out for pizza afterwards.
  16. Re: WWYCD? #104: Things get alittle random...(have a six-sider handy) Cannis: “the gorilla paddock at the campaign city zoo.†Cannis lands with a thump and a slight snarl, quickly glancing around to see where on earth she is. ~Gorrillas? The zoo. Perfect.~ She smiles as she apologizes to the gorillas for frightening them and then asks them if they are in the mood for a bit of an adventure. Fifteen minutes later, Cannis, riding on the back of a large elephant that is surrounded by a wide assortment of lions, tigers, bears, and such heads back towards the lab. “We’ll teach him not to attempt to hurt my packmates.†Sailor Io: “A swimming pool in a typical suburban backyard†She lands with a splash. As she surfaces she discovers to her dismay that two elementary school kids are staring at her. With a slight blush, she clambers out of the pool, still managing to look cute despite the soaked sailor fuku and the dripping hair. Unable to come up with a reasonable explanation, she begins to stammer an apology, only to pause as she notices the house. “Wait, you were the one we helped Santa Claus deliver the Junior Deluxe Engineering set and the Incredible Machine video game too, aren’t you.†At the kid's stunned nod she grins, “I always loved those two toys. I hope you are having fun with them too.†She gives the kids a quick wave as she heads out of the backyard and quickly finds a place to hide. After making a call on the communicator to make sure her friends are alright and let them know where she is, she turns back to Mina and calls a cab to take her back to her dorm room.
  17. Re: New Villain Team: Thrill Kill Interesting and frightening concept. I especially like Rapture. The family idea that Madstone mentioned would do a good job of explaining why the stay together. For some reason, the idea of a hunt club keeps going through my head though. A group of people (or an insane family) that sees everyone that isn’t part of their club as their rightful prey. Status in the organization is based in a large degree on both how many kills you have and how challenging they were. Killing a superhero on his own turf would be worth much more than killing a kid in a dark alley.
  18. Re: Superhero Day! 1. Parades. 2. School children reading their winning essays on "Why _____ is my favorite superhero" 3. Contests to see who can look the most like a certain hero or villain. Which of course will make things confusing if a villain decides to strike. 4. Exhibition matches or battles.
  19. Re: WWYCD popularity poll While I do enjoy reading everyones posts, one of the ones I always look for that hasn't been mentioned yet is Menagerie. So, since everyone else seems to be done with the nominations. I nominate her.
  20. Re: WWYCD #91 - A matter of Family Cannis: “My Grandmother was a mutant and a villainess?†She smiles with pleasure, “I suppose that explains where I got my mutant abilities.†Cannis doesn’t have an archenemy yet and none of the members of the City’s hero team are old enough to be her father much less her grandfather. Ultimately, whether or not she would help an enemy that was also a family member would depend on exactly what the enemy had done to her and her packmates. She would be inclined to help a family member. Though she would do it in her secret id, since it would incredibly foolish to let an enemy have that strong of a clue as to who you really are. But loyalty to the pack that she fights beside is much stronger than her loyalty to someone she didn’t even know was family. If her grandfather had tried to seriously harm her or one of her friends, she wouldn’t bother letting him know the truth or helping him in any way. This would be much more fascinating for Sailor Io (if I make just a few alterations), and I have to admit I hope my GM reads this one. (Forgive me please if this gets rather long) The Senshi are basically two people in one. They are both the children of human parents who have been raised as humans. AND they are the full reincarnation of Noble Moonite Warriors that lived a millennium ago. Though they have almost no memories of their lives then, all their enemies and allies seem to think that they are the Moonites they were a millennium ago and still hold grudges and have issues with them and expectations of them based on who they were back then. All of which makes life very confusing. One of the Senshi’s primary enemies is a group of beings that they knew as Mah-ki. For a long time the Senshi just thought the Mah-ki were monsters/invaders from another realm. They have since learned the truth. The Mah-ki are in fact a group of Moonites that had rebelled against the Moonite King and Queen a millinum ago about how the Moonites would or would not interact with Earth. The Mah-ki were banished to another realm which, due to unknown circumstances, was not the refuge the King and Queen intended but rather a harsh and barren land. Recently the Mah-ki have found a way to escape this realm and return to earth. Mah-ki and Moonite are virtually immortal (at least in terms of aging, they can be killed) so the wars against humanity and the Moon Kingdom happened during their lifetimes. Many of them are still furious about everything that happened back then and are seeking revenge against both humans and the Senshi (all that are left of the original Moon Kingdom). What this means, is that it is quite possible, that one or more of the Mah-ki had been related to one or more of the Senshi back then. Civil wars are often brother against brother after all. Currently all of the Senshi see our human families as our families and haven’t given much thought to the fact that we must have had parents and possibly siblings back then. Which could make the discovery that one of their Mah-ki foes is really a relative all the more interesting. If Sailor Io discovered that one of her relatives had been one of the Mah-ki, she wouldn’t be ashamed of that fact. In truth, she feels a good bit of sympathy for what happened to the Mah-ki and knows full well that they weren’t fully in the wrong. Her reaction on discovering that one of her greatest archenemies is was related to her and was dying would depend very much on which archenemy it was. Vash was an incredibly honorable general who treated all of the Senshi with a great deal of respect and who focused on achieving his goal of freeing the Mah-ki from the realm they were trapped in without killing or hurting humans, etc. Sailor Io liked him a lot, and he was the one that got the Senshi to start question their actions and views on things. If it had been him, Io would have given him the transfusion. It would have caused her problems with some of her teammates, especially her boyfriend Zane. Io still greatly regrets Vash’s death and still places flowers on his grave. As far as Io is concerned, Koto is nothing but evil. By pretending she was in love with one of the Knights in Io’s group, Koto manipulated him into murdering an ally. She has possessed and used an innocent girl. She planned to slaughter the families of the Senshi. And Koto may well have murdered a new knight that never really got a chance to join the team. Io knows full well that in dealing with Koto it is kill or be killed and that if she didn’t she would be responsible for a lot of innocent deaths. She would never agree to donate blood to save this monsters life. And once she and her friends discover Koto is still alive, they will do everything in their power to kill her. Maybe Io’s attitude will change if she ever gets to know Koto better, but I serious doubt it. We’ve not yet met the final general. Whether or not Io would help him or her would depend entirely on that general's actions and attitude towards both the Senshi and humanity. Nemesis is the General of Generals. The Generals that the scouts have been facing are under his command. The Senshi have never encountered him directly and probably wouldn’t survive the meeting. He is far more powerful than any foe they’ve ever faced and according to what they’ve been told has been driven mad with hatred. Still, Io would give serious thought to saving his life. Io is trying desperately to find a way to end this civil war and stop the cycle of violence. Saving Nemesis might provide a way to finally bring about a truce or even a peace. This would be a hotly debated issue among the Senshi with much yelling on both sides. If, Io did do this, she would insist on going alone. She’d feel fairly certain that she might not get to leave alive and wouldn’t want cause her friends deaths by taking this chance. Of course, knowing her friends, they probably wouldn’t listen to her.
  21. Re: Help! I created a PC without thinking of good plot ideas for them! Alright, I see some potential for plot hooks here as well. Gangs tend to breed loyalty and close ties after all. 1. Something happens to one or more of the members of his gang. Sludge seeks answers and revenge. 2. Sludge's former gang members come looking for him. They want him to become an active member of the gang again. 3. Sludge misses having a gang of normal human followers around him. He decides to form a new one. Of course that will shift the balance of power in the city, and some of his classmates may not approve of him associating so much with humans. 4. Sludge is bored and out for a night of fun. Of course, his idea of fun may well be tearing up the city. Pulling up fire hydrants, trashing buildings, etc. I doubt the good guys will approve.
  22. Re: Help! I created a PC without thinking of good plot ideas for them! ::Ponders:: It would be helpful to know a bit more about your character, especially personality, goals, friendships, etc. After all, a lot of plots surrounding him will be based on what direction he wants his life to go. But working off of what I know so far: Sludge develops a crush on a beautiful girl at his school. Unfortunately, she doesn’t even know he exists, and if she does, she doesn’t care. Sludge decides to impress her by pulling a series of elaborate (pranks, heists, murders). Sludge’s parents are putting increasing pressure on him to get straight As. They’ve told him that if he does so, they’ll buy him a new car for his birthday. Professor Smith gives incredibly hard tests and the next one is scheduled for a week from now. What does Sludge do? A new kid has arrived at school, though physically unimpressive the kid is good at making Sludge’s and everyone else’s lives miserable. The new student has mental powers or something else that makes him an incredibly good sneak and annoyingly all of the teachers like and trust him. (Think Eddy Haskal from Leave it to Beaver). How does Sludge deal with him.
  23. Re: Wwycd? #97 Cannis: Day 1: Reads the comic section, snarls and then reassures herself, “I don’t care what anyone other than my packmates think of me†Day 2: Reads the comic section and growls, before trying to convince herself, “They are just sheep, their opinions don’t matter.†A couple of days later: Reads the comic strip and finds out about the upcoming comic book. And growls, her dogs echoing the sentiment and emotion with snarls of their own. “I’m going to kill them.†That evening she makes a late night visit to the home of the writer/illustrator of the comic. The man quickly finds himself faced by a furious and rather dangerous looking woman surrounded by four large dogs that resemble wolves and holding a staff that she looks more than capable of using. Her smile does not look at all friendly as she asks, “So tell me, have you been enjoying making fun of me? Has the pleasure you’ve gained been worth the risk of baiting a wolf? Did you really think that just because I generally play nicely with others that I wouldn’t bite if provoked.†The staff begins spinning in her hands and her dogs snarl as she awaits his response. “If I were you, I’d cancel that comic strip. I don’t think you’ll like my reaction if you continue to toy with me.†A snarl twists her face for a second, “I don’t think you’d like it at all.†She then vanishes back into the night. If the comic strip continues, the building the author works at suffers a fairly large amount of property damage, especially his desk and any future strips relating to Cannis. If it still continues, the author ends up going to the doctor to get a wide array of very painful bruises and bite marks treated. If that doesn’t work, Cannis talks to Adam and asks if maybe he can handle the problem via business or legal channels. Mina/Sailor Io sits on her bed looking at the newpaper with a hurt expression. Sensing her emotions, Jade, her parrot animal companion sits on her shoulder and Sebastian her roommates cat animal companion sits on her lap. She points out the strip. “I’ve NEVER said anything like that. I know, it’s a silly thing to get upset over. Compared to everything else that’s happened, its trivial. But it still hurts a bit†She gently pets the animals. “And its not like I can fight back either. I can’t go talk to them or even sue them. The senshi don’t exist after all. And my powers are absolutely useless against something like this. I almost wish I thought it was a Mah-ki or Unselee plot. At least then there would be a good reason for this…instead its just someone trying to make himself look big at our expense.†She sighs and tosses the newspaper in the trash. A few days later, her friends come in the room and notice Mina looking at the new comic book. Mitzy asks, “Is that the Sailor Weather comic book?†Mina frowns as she tosses it in the trash can. “Yes.†Bunny states, “Dear friend, it is hurting your feelings, we should do something about it.†Mina just shakes her head, “It will all blow over soon enough. Besides we have more important things to worry about. Everyone up for ice cream, my treat?†She heads out with her friends, her mood brightening as her boyfriend Zane places his arm around her shoulders. She glances up at him and grins, “and this time no stealing the bill and holding it above your head so that I can’t reach it. It’s my turn to pay this time.†The conversation drifts to school work and other things and the comic book is forgotten.
  24. Re: Wwycd #99 Cannis: “You mean God and heaven and all of that exist?!?! I have quite a few questions for you and your boss.†Rather angrily Cannis asks why a supposedly all knowing and all loving god has created such a messed up world and allowed so many bad things to happen in her life and the lives of her pack mates. She doesn’t look overly impressed with the “all part of a greater plan†or “free will†answers either. Once the conversation turns back to the girl, “You and heaven made a second administrative error. I’m not a superhero. I’m a supervillian. I am sorry that the girl had to die at such a young age. Whose bright idea was it to create terminal diseases anyhow. But my powers are what I am, and I’m not willing to give up part of myself, not even for just a short time.†She turns to the girl, “I’m sorry kid, hopefully you’ll have a better life in heaven.†She then heads for home, snarling to herself. “The world makes more sense without a God in it.†Sailor Io: “I am truly sorry, but our powers are a serious responsibility rather than a blessing. The burden is one that my friends and I are struggling to bare and we are in our late teens, it would be wrong to place such a heavy load on a pre-teens shoulders. Additionally, my team relies far to much on my leadership and abilities to give them up even for a month. The risk of something happening is far too great. If there is something else I could do to help her or you, please feel free to ask. But I’m afraid I can’t give you this.†(If the time frame was a week or a day, Sailor Io might consider it. It would depend a great deal on the current threats they were facing.)
