  1. Re: Looking for Additional Spiderman Web Powers Gah, no! I would not inflict a VPP on the player or myself. Based on the suggestions, I found some intreasting Web Powers. I won't add any of the flight powers (parachute, Hang Glider) to the character because he has gliding wings built into his suit. I have used the following powers from printed sources: Webline (Gadgets and Gear) Web-grab (Gadgets and Gear) Web Blast (Gadgets and Gear) Webbed Up (Gadgets and Gear) Web blast (Gadgets and Gear) Sight Flash (Gadgets and Gear) Web gag (Gadgets and Gear) Web Bubble (Gadgets and Gear) Web Shield (Gadgets and Gear) Safety Pillow (USPD, pg 218) - Web netting to catch yourself or others Putting It Back Together (Online USPD) - Fixes objects Stuck On You (Online USPD) - Sticking things to other things Here are the original ones I did up: Launching the Spider: Leaping 40" (40 Active Points); Must have structure and proper space to launch from (-1/2), Extra Time (Full Phase, -1/2) Gumming Up The Works: Suppress Technological Devices 8d6, Uncontrolled (+1/2) (60 Active Points) What do you guys think of the two above powers? Are they correct? Am I missing something? How would one build a web harness power that allows the character to lower other characters down? For that matter how would one build the effect/power from Spiderman II where spidy caught the car in mid air with a web?
  2. Howdy! I am currently running a Champions game in which one of the players is playing a spider-man rip off. The problem I have run into is a lack of additional things to do with his webshooters. We have purchased all the Web Projector powers (Gadgets and Gear) and now I am stumped. So HERO Fans, I ask you for help in answering what else can be done with webbing?
  3. Howdy! Let's say your brick punches a foe and causes 10 inches of knockback to an agent. That agent flyes back 5 hexes into another agent and actually hits him. Would the damage to the second agent cuase knockback to him? Also when you attempt to strike a target using your knockbacked opponents do you add in any modifiers such as non-aerodymanic objects?
  4. Howdy! I am somewhat confused about calculating DCs for HTH attacks with advantages. Do you add the power advantages on top of the attack with STR added in? If you have a character with a 60 STR and a sword defined as a 2D6 KA (4D6 w/ STR) with AP.. what would the DC be? I calculated 18... is that correct? Also, what happens when you buy a Hand to Hand Attack with autofire? Does your full Strenthy add into the damage or is it reduced by the autofire DC? Example, you have a character with 20 STR and purcahse a rapid attack defined as +8D6 HA with Autofire. Would the autofire attacks be 12D6 like I think or something else? Thanks!

  6. Re: Calling all figure modders and painters, Champions Challenge! I plan on contributing some ideas sometime after this weekend. As it is now I am knee deep in getting my D&D session ready for Saturday.
  7. Last night in the champions game I run two situations came up that I would like help on resolving within the rules set. The first was two of the heroes ended up dealing with VIPER and a hostage situation. VIPER had gotten into the science building of the university to extract the first part of a super solider serum hidden in the buiilding 50 years ago. They had taken two hostages and the team speeder attempted a passing disarm, but missed. The VIPER agent warned him not to try it agian, so the speeder tried the same thing on the second hostage taker and missed agian, so the agent shot the hotsage and almost killed her. My question is, how do you handle a hostage situation within the set of rules? Seems like the covered rules prevents most actions to save a hostage so how can you protect them? Now for situation #2; After the battle with VIPER, three of the agents were taken down and one of them had an freeze ray weapon. The campus police (which were undercover VIPER agentrs) took custody of the captured agents and thier weapons. However one of the players had thought about keeping the freeze gun. How would you handle captured Foci? Many thanks!
  8. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... This happened just last night. The characters were standing in front of a news crew. One of the characters (Gladiator), who is male and wears just a leather bikini brief also has been discribned as having a near perfect physic. The discussion some how wondered to the possibility of nude photos of Gladiator appearing on the internet at which pooint the player exclaimed: "Can you please stop thinking about my character naked!" More out of character than other quotes but it struck me as funny

  12. Re: Champions miniatures Here is one I used this weekend, I plan on making it a more permanet figure. The charcter's name is Titan and he can grow. My Son was not thrilled I used his toy for the game
  13. Howdy! I have noticed that a number of the GMs utilize the SPD + DC=20 system for determining balance in a campaign. I am seriously thinking about using this method in my current campaign. My question is at what point do you raise the bar where SPD + DC = 21, 22 etc? Do you base raising the bar on point totals from XP or just what "feels" right? Thanks!

  16. Howdy! I was goi9ng through Gadgets and Gear and spotted the webgun which is stretching purchased with the disadvantace of "Cannot Cause Damage". My question is if you grab someone with the web gun, can you throw them? I am thinking no, since that would cause damage... but needed an answer from those more experienced than myself. Thanks!
  17. I have a question fror the experienecd HERO GMs out there. How do you guys handle a Brick's melee attacks for purposes of DC. I have been trying to keep my campaign at a manageable level of 60-75 active points. However, since the brick is already close to that level and with an ongoing campaign I expect he will wnat to up his HTH power some. Thoughts?

  20. Okie, I know this is the very basic of questions but I am confused on when you pay END on constant powers such as Force Field. Do you pay the END costs during all 12 segments of the turn? OR just on the segments that you act? What if you bought levels of DCV that cost END? Would you pay the END on each of the segments it is active or just on the segments you act?
  21. Howdy! I had another, probably basic question. One of the players in my campaign wants to be able to call his vehicle and have it come to him. My question is what is how would you stat that? Would it be a summon? An Computer aboard the vehicle with Programs? Also how would you do a lock down on the vehicle where only the owner could use it?
