Re: Most PCs...
Of course' date=' if you want to go completely insane, make a Multiform character, each form of which has a different suite of powers ... VPPs, Multipowers, etc.[/quote']Did that once.
Was asked not to do it again.

Re: Genre-crossover nightmares
He might have been referring to the character in Dilbert. That's what I thought initially.I think Bigby's later post covered things.

Re: The cranky thread
I never thought this would happen, but recently I've had to deal with a tech support person incapable of properly sending an e-mail.

Re: What Have You Watched Recently?
I nominate Mallrats.I'm still going with 1964's The Fat Spy, though the more recent Birdemic is certainly a contender.
Most recent film seen: Live and Dangerous concert film by Thin Lizzy. Quite good.

Re: Champions And Time Travel Theories.
My main theory of time travel is that every future you travel to, if it's a temporary trip, is an "alternate" future, because the difference is that history unfolded after you left. If you return to a time before that to which you travelled, things automatically change.

Re: Upstarts looking to go big time
Sounds like the clubber would make an ideal target for shenanigans. The problem with that would be the vast number of innocents around. That is, if the players care.
This reminds me of the campaign set-up in the Stupor Powers! roleplaying, which also had fame as a major goal, but took a much more absurdist (and often quite funny) approach.

Re: What Have You Watched Recently?
The Rifftrax-enhanced Plan 9 From Outer Space.
Yes, it's a bad film, but far from the worst of all time.

Re: The Avengers Project for Champions
I didn't much care for the open-ended rolling possibilities. Robin punting Superman in the family jewels once was enough to put me off that.I thought the open-ended stuff was hilarious, but I tended not to use the DC characters much anyway.
Plus, Superspeed was broken. Still, overall a pretty good system.

Re: Ares Saves the World!
As a Player I would scratch my head in confusion. As a suspicious Gamer I would think about what his end game is.Most of my characters would assume that Ares looks upon nukes as a deterrent to the all-out war that he wants to see consume the Earth. Therefore they must go.
Some characters would want to stop that. Others would go with it, and try to stop Ares' eventual manipulations through other means.

Re: Create a Hero Theme Team!
Joe Farfisa's classical training sometimes puts him at odds with his fellow bandmates' harder rock leanings. But no one faults his ability with organ and piano, and when things get rough, they're glad to have him fighting alongside them in his wolf form as The Keynine.

Re: Create a Hero Theme Team!
Does Eric Burdon know about these guys?

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!
Jack Davis was The Eleventh Hour, a mercenary specializing in corporate espionage whose unconscious "gift" of probability manipulation assured that *something* would occur at a critcial moment during his jobs. No longer trusted by potential employers due to this unpredictably, he "retired" to the bottom of a bottle until contacted by Mahlkronos with promises of treatments that would let him use his powers consistently in his favor.

Re: Pulp Hero Resources
That's just awesome. And by "awesome", I mean "horrifying". There's a whole campaign in that.

Re: Most PCs...
I don't see a problem necessarily, but it's your game. You can always try it and see what happens.
