  1. Okay, the little snag I mentioned is the fact that Heroic Publication and Dennis Mallonee actually own the rights to the Umbermachine and the characters there of. Also, found out he owns the rights to Enemies III as well, who knew? However, talking with him we are working on making gaming supplements together. These will be available on DriveThruRPG exclusively, and the first will be Umbermachine. Pomagraner twins, Jabberock, Spectra, Darkon, Blonde Bombshell, Gladiatrix, Thugmaster with thugs, Goldrush, Goldmind, Goldbrick. Could be additional as well but these at the moment

    Well, *that's* a tease...

In the meantime, I shall immodestly mention my Shared Origins: the Dynatron supplement (available in the HERO Store!) as an example of one way to handle the tropes of the "origin machine" and "supoer-powers for sale."

I enjoy them. Welcome to advertise them on my Tiger Paw Press Facebook page if you like

  3. Been emailing with Dennis Mallonee. Turns out that Ubermachine is Heroic Publications and I've ask to use it. Haven't heard back yet but I'm hopeful. I'll let you know when I hear. If I get his offical okey dokey I'm thinking about making Umbermachine be the equivalent of TITechCorp, basically making super-powered lackeys to the highest bidder instead of equipment. Of course, if you'd like to start a criminal career you can give them a call as well, as long as your money is green they are happy to help.

He is in the Flair comic books also, but he never had a writeup. The only "powers" I see him is telekinesis (to lift his cloak after spending some time with Flair), and...we can assume he has lots of intelagence to pick up and teach any skills a henchman would need.

could have sworn I saw him somewhere, but I'm old so...

I'm kinda interested in the writeup you did for the Professor. I noticed a slight Ras Au Ghoul when you did Kirby Koo, so what famous similar villain could you push into the character? The Leader?

Considering how expendable they are, there must be either a way to bring them back from the dead, or they were given such powers to self revive or simply use the same settings on others.

I leaning toward a mad scientist vibe. Was debating on giving the Gold-trio Regeneration with resurrection., but the regen only works to bring them back not heal them from damage taken in combat

  6. So far I have Jabberock, Spectra, & Terastar. I've heard of the Blonde Bombshell, no info though. Going to look at the Gold-trio from Guilt Complex. Plan on adding some of my own but would like to include any villains that have been included in books. This is going to be the next installment of Forgotten Organizations

Do you know about the Gilt Complex (Goldbrick, Goldrush, etc...)?

I am super late to this discussion and I am sure that much of the work is done.  But there was the update to Sanctuary for 4th Edition in the Classic Organizations book.   If I recall the premise involved an attack on the original Sanctuary and option or need for changing to a new location.

Don't have access to the book right now so some of this might be my brain and old campaigns mixing in as well.

That's in classic organizations, I've made some changes.

  9. Finishing up the campaign section of Sanctuary heading for the character section. Was wondering something. In the case of normal NPCs, doctors, nurses, and cooks. Would you like stats, skills, and complications, or just the skills that matter for the position and complications?

I'd like to keep Hunter's Moon for myself, please. I do have a list of possible smaller projects reworking/updating old material; one of them has the working title Mystic Enemies: Cults. I figure, Hunter's Moon, Vril Society and Shadowfire's black lotus cult. Ouroboros could be expanded into a supplement of its own. They'd be less work than the "Shared Origins" series, which is a not-insignificant consideration. Especially if I follow Steve Long's lead in his Martial Enemies series and don't attempt character illos, 'cause I am not an artist.

But I've also wondered if there would even be a market. I've been here for years, and it's not as if I've been besieged with requests to learn more about any of these groups. There could be. For instance, it transpired in my campaign that Shadowfire does not lead the world's only cult of Darkness. The connection did not appear in play, but it's there. Shadowfire either did not know the connection, or he ignored it. But the Black Bodhisattva is not ignoring him.

    Looking forward to see it
