  1. my upcoming campaign is in Terminal City, the local nickname for Vancouver, B.C. Most of my campaigns have been in Vancouver. I live here, it makes it easy to remember where everything is. Previous to that, it was Genericopolis (A typical big city), the largest city on an island in the central Pacific.
  2. I feel like a fool. I love converting minis, but I never thought of doing it to Heroclix. One other bit of Green Stuff advice...Keep a container of screaming hot water and freezing cold water next to you. If you're trying to make your putty thin and pliant, drop it in the hot water. This will give it the consistancy of chewed bubblegum. Need to carve it or fix it in a shape, soak it in the cold water. I gotta go...Hydra is about to be bought out by Viper
  3. I too had a team called Anarchy. Originally they were less well conceived. Just a pack of villans for the heroes to beat up. Now I have a plan... Chaos-superhumanly strong and resiliant with the ability to explode (wouldn't hurt him), but he suffered from berserk. Dragstrip-speedster. Wore a dark grey jumpsuit with twin yellow stripes going up the left side and down the back. He hated standing still. Blindside-a big, none to clever brick. He was also invisible. A classic bully. Erg-Plasma bolts. Loves to use his power. Thingamabob (real name was Bob)-gadgetteer. He was overweight and over 40 but had wonderful toys. He was a bit of a coward. Transit-trans global teleporter. Could carry one extra, but was essensially normal otherwise. Chaos was in charge, not because he was strongest, but because he knew how to make his team work. He was a front line brawler (he knew he couldn't control himself, so why not make use of it). Blindside went after the non-bricks, Dragstrip would cause havoc all over the area and haul off the loot. Erg would nail anyone who came in the door or take out anythreat that appeared down the street. Thingamabob would stay on a rooftop and snipe/call warnings to the team. Transit would alternate between teleporting out loot and teammates or would snipe with a rifle.
  4. So, I was wondering how many of you have experimented with how many points your Players get. I've tried telling them to make their character on 250 pts (4th ed) then once its ready, take as many disads as they want to give the character all those cool powers. The idea was that they would make the character as it has to be then they could boost it to what it should be. This time I'm trying 350 points maximum per character for the group, then they can divide up that maximum as they see fit. Should be interresting.
  5. Don't forget the ever popular vast cybernetic reconstruction. That one got me out of a corner.
  6. Aw Hell, I forgot all about Dazzler's early carrer. Real shame 'cause I own most of that series. I bought it for one issue, when Rogue tries to kill her. Anyone wanna guess which issue I don't have?
  7. How about The Ultra-Killer! A steel verion of the Geiger alien, but with the Preadator's weapons. He fought (and killed) The Squad! This box of tools had their team logo emblazoned in wall height letters on the inside of their base. I'd give you more, but my friend hacked chopped up the only issue with an axe.
  8. Sounds more like a Legion of Substitute Heros character. I've got something in my campaign that may be original. An Atlantean Royal Assassin. Ageless with light manipulation, shape shifting and low end mental powers. He's been around since Atlantis sank, keeping the world safe from an enemy he's never seen or met.
  9. Back when I was living in the Frosty North, some of us wanted to play Rifts using hero. We never really did, but I did a lot of Vehical conversions. I got the process down to a fairly simple formula (this from someone who tanked out on higher maths) Rifts to Hero Vehical Conversion notes [main body/5]/=additional Body and total Def (Round up) Therefore: A Death's head has 15 Size increases to make its length by width measurements and a Main Body MDC of 1300 [1300/5]/[15+1]=additional body and total def [260]/[16] 16.25 rounded up to 17 additional body and 17 total def Additional body does not include body granted by the size level increases I've also got Power Armour conversions, but I can't remember the formula for that one (I think it was the same as above but generated Maximum Body/Def rather than additional). They're in Herocreator format, but if you want them, I'll gladly beam them up.
  10. Aw nertz. I'm nowhere near my computer, otherwise I could dig out the Guyver I did up for an Anime campaign. Gimme a couple of days and I'll get him out. PS OIHID is the way to go
  11. Upside of genetically modified superhuman freaks:less 'roid rage. Downside:less 'roid sucking morons kicking of from heart failure. I'm fence sitting on this one for now. Some parts of me see it as another attempt to avoid actually working to improve oneself, like diet pills. On the other side, the potential health benifits for people who are, ('scuse the terms) too far gone for normal processes to help would be greatly helped by this.
