    Kerry Connell who did the art for my SuperSquad America Champions convention game has started to do some art for my Friends of Justice Pulp Hero convention game. He has sent me the first character picture with six different looks. I know my favorite. Which one do you folks prefer?

    #2 (middle top) and #6 (right bottom) for me. Seemed to match the photos from that era better to my recollection.

    Good point and probably the various "Women in Refridgerator" stories as well. I mean, there's some pretty sick stuff glossed over in some of the main stream books if you read between the panels and do some pop psychology.

    I love Deadlands. I was saddened when the guy who GMed our one run of it said if he GMs it again he will do the genre in HERO. Though maybe he'll keep the cards and stuff.

     

    (NB - edited this as I wrote it wrong, he wants to do the Weird West genre in HERO, not adapt Deadlands to HERO)

    Someone had a decent adaptation of the card system, but yeah. I've got mixed feelings about Lamrok doing that.

    I have now offically seen all episodes of Bab5.

     

    Due to one reason or another, I had not seen the 2 climactic episodes of season four before. (Ivanova getting injured, and the Battle for Earth)

     

    I just got the season four DVD collection and have now watched them.

    I haven't been able to see all of season 5 or beyond. B5 is one of those sets I'd like to get.

    Got an email from a recruiting company. The person who sent it screwed up and left all 136 email recipients on CC.

     

    Sad thing is a couple of the jobs were ones I have not seen on my search yet. Though I think I'll see if I can compare the job description to one of the less spammy agencies in town.

    It is if you have a rice cooker. :)

    I actually do pretty well with a pot. The only annoying thing is washing the rice, but it's usually 2-1 ratio or 4-3 with some rice. Bring it up to a boil, reduce heat and cover for 20 minutes. At end, stir with fork and let sit uncovered 5.

     

    Other things that can be done: Add spices, butter, or use broth. I've also tossed in some sausages in the last 6 minutes of cook time as well.

    So here it is a little after 1am on the morning of March 7. I can't sleep and unlike a bunch of other people that just hit a multiple of 1000 posts, I'm not posting anything special.

    I just can't form the thoughts around it. Right now I'm just using the boards for a nervous outlet to forget what is going on with my life. I'm stuck with obligations that I have no idea how to fulfill at this point. Something is going to break soon and I'm afraid it's going to be me. Then again, I think I already have and these are just the pieces twitching.

    Not bad, but it looks like you used a flash. Generally you want to use a different light with a neutral background.

     

    The Clix looked real good though.

    I really had hoped that more people would have replied to my 4000th post thread. I was really was looking forward to getting some feedback on my story. :(

    I'm the same way, but then I often will look at something and want to give good feedback and just never get back to it.

    Just threaten to shameless bump it until you get enough feedback.

    BTW, will we be seeing a character sheet?

     

    and i'm going thru threads, maybe you got more by now

    Voices in your head. I've seen various house rules for it, but never anything official.

     

    edit: Though Whamme^2 does correctly point out Enviroment sometimes.

    ....but it wouldn't stop you using the STR normally would it i.e. the 'normal' STR from absorbtion wouldn't go away when you do the burst (or am I, as usual, missing something).

     

    The other problem with the END RESERVE approach is 5ER page 105/6: Increasing expendable abilities. If you have a 50 point END reserve you need to absorb 25 points to fill it. If you use those points you STILL have to wait for the fade rate to clear your absorb pool before you can start topping it up again: you don't clear the pool by using the END, so, realistically, you could only use the Blast power at maximum every 5 turns, which is bad. However see above where I pointed out that I'm usually missing something: I may not be reading this right at all.... :)

     

    Well, the first example didn't have any Absorption into STR, just the End Reserve. And actually I had completly forgotten about the Absorption having a cap (I just forget that for Healing and End Reserves) though as Hugh points out you can buy the maximum up.

     

    So you got most of it. ;)

     

    On your previous post, Ben has allowed people to change their names and keep their old posts under the new name. (I can think of two people who have done that) Send him a pm and start negotiating. Haven't seen him around much so he might be extra busy though.
