Sold the two VW vans today. I already have the money and they're being towed away monday. The guy who came by seemed happy with them and two of the cats approved of him.

Of course I now need to build some sort of shelter so that the feral cat that was hanging out in the parts bus has a place to sleep.

Hmm. I'll let you handle that. I haven't been in a fight since the 3rd grade. I think there may of been a few situations where some people thought there might be one, but backed off when I stood up or got out of the car. And that's been maybe three times in 20 years...

I agree with that. That's a source of confusion every time with every new player. Even with experienced players' date=' you have to clarify whether by "stunned" you mean "reduced to zero Stun" or "have taken more Stun damage than the character's Con".[/quote']

We never had that problem. You were either Stunned or Knocked Out.

I had the great pleasure of having it introduced in a Convention game. I'm thinking "The character has been played too much at this con?"

So me and my friends started getting INT, EGO, & COM stunned.

The truth of the matter is that there is nothing Witchcraft can do by herself that can munchkin her way into winning a fight against Viperia, or any other similarly powerful enemy. Sure, she could certainly prepare that one rare spell she'll probably never use again, but she need someone to hold the target still or else she'll miss, and she'll need someone else to keep her from being hit (either by distraction or my taking a hit for her) while she's casting. It's gotta be a team effort or else it's just no fun.

Yep. I one time had a scenario in which I pitted an unstoppable force against the heroes. They won thru a series of various healing, shielding the healers, and putting a rather horrible power on the villian. A cumaltive killing attack that eventually built up and destroyed the villian, a robot so no actual death. Though out of 14 heroes, only three were standing at the end.

Totally made that chain of events in the story line different, but resulted in a much better story.

That's the issue that confuses most of my players. At home' date=' I tend to call it CON Stunned, even though there is no such term in the rulebook. At conventions I deliberately call it Dazed in hopes of getting other players in that habit and perhaps force the writer editor to do the same some day in a future edition of the rules.[/quote']

That might be the best explaination I've seen of why people say CON stunned yet. I still hate the term, but maybe I'll see if I can start using Dazed.

You are. There's a reason I'm envious of your job and work history... and its not because I needed to make something up for the boards so I could post on the Envy thread.

Yow. I'm envious of Docman as well. Before 2000, the longest I was out of work was four months in '89. In 2000 I took a couple months off after being burnt out of a job and intended to be out of work longer, but got a few good offers. Then in 2001 the downturn has resulted in my being unemployed or underemployed.

If I don't get things turned around soon, things are really going to suck.

I prefer this to the numbered one. The 8's grate on my sensibility and Klytus has a good point. Even if anything that says "excellence" tends to grate as well. Must be something to do with that Tony Robbins seminar I was forced to endure.

Doesn't look like much, but if it hits, that's 7 STUN per Phase, or 10 vs. Viperia, and 50 per Turn. If she can hit with just two of them...

I thought of a different munchkin trick.

Though if I was throwing Viperia at the players and expected them to win, I'd allow it as a "one shot trick" style power. Like you see on many TV shows where the heroes configure something fairly clever, but never seem to use that particular trick again.

Hmm, I suppose an uncontrolled, 0 End, penetrating End Drain might be a bit too munchkin... Though if Witchcraft did the research it might be ok... Might be an adventure just to get the right spell components.

Well apparantly for many the medium really is the message.

 

Perhaps a more tasteful arrangement on eggshell white would be more suitable to some people's elevated sensibilities of netiquette.
