  1. Re: Your Opinion Please - Four-Color Appropriate? Truthfully, that's a pretty superhero-looking suit of armor. He looks like Fuji from Stormwatch. As long as he still plays it four color, everything's Kool and the Gang, in my opinion.
  2. Re: secretary to heroes She hasn't appeared yet in the campaign, but she will: Rachel "Rae" Damian (played by Ali Larter): Quite possibly the worst receptionist in the history of business. Cold and *****y. Never answers the phones, and barely acknowledges anyone's existence. Always has her nose buried in a book (usually non-fiction or philosophy).
  3. Re: This week on "Champions"... Priority One:: Debut: The Department of Homeland Security's new super-team literally undergoes a trial by fire when they attempt to bring down a fiery monster in Seattle. Can they do it? And why does the monster keep calling Hekaton by his real name?
  4. I'm gonna have to go with Strange here as well. If it were Strange vs. Spectre, now that would be a fight...
  5. I like Wonder Man, but he would not stand a chance against the Man of Steel. Superman is faster, smarter, probably stronger and has more powers and experience than Wonder Man...
  6. I love the quick superhuman generator in the Champions Genre Book. I've gotten a lot of use out of it. That alone makes the Genre Book useful to me...
  7. TIRED OF WOMEN OF KLEENEX?!? THESE WONDER WOMEN WANT TO GET YOU HARD AS STEEL!!!
  8. Re: What is the ring, anyway? Alternately, I've heard more than one person suggest building the ring as the character and buying Hal, Kyle, John, Guy, etc. as a follower...
  9. There have been two major reboots in the DCU. "Zero Hour" was the second...
  10. Pre-Zero Hour: Joe Chill Post-Zero Hour: Their murderer was never found. Which leads into Genre Convention #41: If the hero's past starts to contradict itself, some reality-altering event will come along and change it so it makes more sense
  11. Sun Bear from "Allies" is a Were-bear.
  12. Genre convention #11 No matter how many relationship problems it would solve, the hero must never tell his or her significant other their secret identity. Exception: The secret identity must be revealed upon proposal of marriage.
  13. Re: HERO stats for the guard Will they be written up as 350 point starting heroes, or will they be straight conversions with fluctuating point totals?
  14. Genre convention #7 There is always sexual tension between a hero and a villain of the opposite sex.
  15. My favorite reasons for why villains capture heroes. 1. Vivisection: A Teleios/Malachite mad scientist can use his genetic material to create clone slaves or buff up his agents. 2. Discovering of the secret identity. 3. Turning him over to a hunted, so's the hunted can **** the hero up.
  16. Genre Convention #5 If three or more heroes stumble upon the same villain at the same time, they will become a semi-permanent super team upon defeating said villain.
  17. A Purple Brick? Hmmm. Grape Ape?
  18. Re: When Worlds Collide: ideas for universe crossovers You could have an adventure where Istvatha Vhan attacks earth, the PCs could follow her back to her dimension, and she could blink them to another universe. Alternately, she could have done the same to another superhero team...
  19. Another Reality Storm question: Will it have conversions for SAS to HERO like the old V&V supplements?
  20. A note on defenses In the case of Hawkgirl, I think she is the type of character that Combat Luck was created for. It also seems to be a good way to simulate the "script immunity" that Batman seems to have...
  21. So far, Upgrade and Adam 2.0 are my favorites.
  22. The one I'm most proud of is the Chaos Coalition, a group of superpowered mercenaries. I designed each member to exploit the weaknesses of two PCs, but be vulnerable to one other PC. The team consisted of: Omega- A gadgeteer with stasis grenades to stop our teleporting martial artist; Slag- A giant lava creature to counteract our ice generating powered armor PC; Pulse- A being of electromagnetic energy designed to stop the hero who controlled Kinetic Energy; Poltergeist- An Invisible, desolid mentalist designed to twart the team's invisible, desolid mentalist; Golden Tiger- A martial artist with missile deflection/reflection to use against our archer; Gary Gillman- Guy Gardner clone created to fight our Kyle Rayner clone; At the end of the story arc, both teams faced off at the MGM grand, and the whole battle was fought on Pay-Per-View...
  23. The one wher ehe lands in Gotham and is found by Thomas and Martha Wayne isn't bad either...
  24. There are two upcoming projects from DC that deal with these questions: "Red Son" has him landing in the Soviet Union; "True Brit" (written by John Cleese) has him landing in England.
