The Amazon Queen has come to conquer man's world and bring it under complete Amazonian rule.  She will stop at nothing to complete her mission even if she has to destroy her counterpart and conquer her fellow Amazons to do it.

Take off his suit of armour and what have you got ? Billionaire, Genius, Womanising Gambling Drunk, Robber Baron. There are some that say that he did not even invent the armour but stole it from someone else. He has different suits of armour for different tasks so he can operate in deep space and at the bottom of the sea. He runs Struckoff Industries and is ably served by his support staff like Salt Shaker and Miserable Savage. He thinks he should be in charge but might not be the right person as he is an egoist of the first order

Quail Huxley is the villain known as Gundown. He's a superfast draw and a dead shot with any gun or knife. His reputation as a professional mercenary is assured and most people on both sides of the law know that he has never missed.

Arlen Gould is the super powered Jet Stream. His control of the air is absolute and deadly in every way. He spends most of his time on rescue work preventing tornadoes from touching down and moving debris so victims can be saved.

I found a couple of YouTube videos and a podcast about Champions. The videos focus on character creation for 6th Edition, while the podcast is about the original game. They are a bit long, but they're interesting.

    Green Racer

When Brant Maddock and Bryant Maddock found that they could not employment due to their records they decided that there was another way for them to utilise their talents. They were skilled at mechanical things so they turned their minds to the world of supporting a vigilante or a paranormal. First they needed to find a suitable candidate and then play to his strengths as a woman would not be able to work with them. Luck was with them when they came across Brian Eagle who had just been controversially disqualified from the skateboarding championships. The two men approached Brian while he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and persuaded him that he could have a new career path. Brian agreed perhaps because he was stoned, The Maddocks first checked the junkyards and found several pieces of metal and plastic that they could mould into shape. They fabricated a mask for him, skates and staves. Then Brian was able to take to the streets as the Green Racer. What you see now is latest version.
(Note this is left open so he could be a hero or a villain)

    Water Works-

Ruthie Sullivan is a plumber and inventor who created a juryrigged water powered set of armor made up of various plates, pipes, valves and hoses. The armor is outfitted with an internal water supply, but when she connects it to an outside source she amps the power of her wrist mounted water cannons and her water jump jet boots to frankly wildly out of control and dangerous levels. It is not unheard of for Water Works to end up flying through the air on the end of a hose while flailing and firing powerful streams in all directions, but she means well.

Hombre Numero Uno, the heavily muscled, scar covered, Dia de los Muertos themed luchadore mask wearing man is a mystery. Rumors abound that his father attempted to toughen him up at age 6 by entering him in dog fights and that he killed his first man at age 9 and hides his face because it was scarred by acid or fire. Rumors aside, the fact is that he is one of the world's most deadly combatants whether it is in the kill or be killed world of underground fighting or as a mercenary for the cartels, criminal organizations and supervillains. Seemingly impervious to pain he is unrelenting and brutally efficient. He however hides something from his teammates. The last several years he has been plagued by PTSD and has horrible nightmares and hallucinations of his past victims. He took this job in the hopes of the overwhelming odds would force him to face and overcome his fears, but as the final battle looms he is barely able to hide his condition and fears this fight will be his last.

He is the brick of the team and his table manners are a disgrace. He revels in destruction and in defilement. He leaves graffiti everywhere proclaiming how great he is or that your music and your team are rubbish. He is Savage Vandal

    The Gasman

He appears with a gas mask on his face and then creates a cloud which is a gas. Most forms are non-lethal and just render people unconscious. He can however create things like mustard gas to kill insect swarms or a gas that is flammable which can then be blown up. The one thing he does that irritates people is to pester those who think that gas refers to petrol. It has gotten him into trouble.

The martial artist of the group and the member who is overly fond of knives and other sharp implements is the woman known as A Cut Above. According to some sources she was a teenage delinquent fond of stabbing people. Someone took her from imprisonment and trained her to a level beyond the capability of normal human achievement. She wears a costume that covers her entire figure and is immune to blades. She enjoys playing with any form of blade from knives through swords to certain forms of polearms. She is thought to be banned from Star Wars conventions as she is thought to be intent on getting her hands on a working lightsaber and then 'playing with it'.

Josh Tiptree is Power Man. He has the ability to control electricity, but not make it. Essentially he can take the power from a building and turn that into an arc, or to run some piece of equipment that can't be plugged in, or drain batteries.

New Team: The Savage Seven are the most violent group of seven supervillains ever. They are savage, but not psychotic, and they are for hire. A small town south of the border hired them to protect the town and it's citizens from a powerful supervillain team with smaller numbers. Who are these seven? Note: not all of them are going to survive the fight.

(The Salvage Seven is the supervillain equivalent of the Magnificent Seven.)

Private Cole Remard was one of the casualties of World War II but he keeps coming back. He possesses a body and keeps on fighting. This makes him the perfect spy. He is immune to mental abilities when taking over another body. Some people volunteer to be a host and in that capacity he is attending memorial day.

Sunburn: Well, as a former teenage superhero turned superhero expert at SNN, he has a few more options than the new guys. While in Milwaukee, he enjoys the old Metaguard HQ inside Horizon Tower. They have a few hi-end restaurants inside Horizon, then the Metaguard museum inside it.

...and he still has his old bedroom inside which he can teleport into.

Paradox Timely: Well, when she is on the job, she doesn't really have much of a say when she has down time (time travel and that), but she is the type to mix business and pleasure. Back in her home time, she knows a multitude of bars, restaurants, pleasure hotels and brothels from Earth to Tau Ceti. But her work load rarely allows for such diligence (On purpose by Chief Mainline. The more busy she is, the less likely he is to hear about her getting in a five way with an intelligent squidoid, a crystalline alien, a horseoid, and a robotic being named Ralf).

Umasora Saotome: The future daughter of Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendo, who not only traveled through time but to a dimension where her parents are fictional characters in a manga/anime series relaxes by doing homework, cooking (she takes after her father cooking wise, thank God), practicing the art, and going to various teen events. She expects a wild, weird composition to break out at a moment's notice, but is usually disappointed (not every place is Nermia Japan).

Note: I haven't had the pleasure of running any of the three in an actual campaign (and in fact, I have yet to write Umasora up). The exception was Sunburn as a teenage superhero, and to relax we go to Santuary (4th edition version).

Subject 2148 had escaped the painful experiments and cruel scientists of the Kobayashi Institute, but the security team was hot on his trail. He attempted to hide in a junkyard, but as his pursuers closed in he closed his eyes and wished for a friend to help protect and save him. When he opened his eyes that friend stood before him. The Janku Kyojin(Junk Giant), as this manifestation of Subject 2148's abilities would be dubbed by the Institute, easily dispatched the security team. Subject 2148 and his new friend escaped into the night. Thus was the beginning of their adventures together.
