Probably the best T-shirt I ever saw was an electric blue one with bright yellow lettering, which due to the contrast you pretty much couldn't help looking at. It had an arrow pointing up and read, "My eyes are up here."
 
A lot of people were reading that girl's shirt that day. Some of the reactions were priceless.

It's a test stand for apparatus that goes on telescopes. For a long segment of development, all you need is a functioning telescope to ensure the instrument can function while bolted to the back end of a tracking telescope, and measure an astrophysical source. It is much more convenient to have that initial test stand on your roof (no matter how crappy the site) rather than in the Canaries, or on Mauna Kea, or in Chile.
