  1. It seems we're picking through the weekend on this one, so for my Saturday pick: Base: Fantasy Island (From Fantasy Island TV show)
  2. Melee Weapon: The Sword of a Thousand Truths (Southpark, "Make Love, Not Warcraft") How do you slay that which has no life? "Mahhhm, get the bucket!"
  3. Personal Ranged Weapon: Tasp (Ringworld) The tasp stimulates the pleasure centers of the brain to an overwhelming degree. Continued exposure can lead to addiction. Low level exposure can be used for subliminal conditioning.
  4. It's possible they got the intel through other means and said that to rattle Putin.
  5. I don't know about crocs, but gators are good climbers at least. Imagine walking out to your car, then looking up to see a gator on your carport, or leering at you from the top of your shed. . .
  6. Here you go, unclevlad: https://www.xda-developers.com/windows-11-microsoft-local-account/
  7. He was actually a really nice guy. Explained to me how he added bracers to Namor because he couldn't draw wrists very well. This was after explaining that he dropped out of art school because they wasted time doing stuff like drawing bicycle chains in detail. Yeah, silly art school: Teaching you how to look at something and draw the detailed contours of it! Though I can't say I didn't like him. Friendly, polite guy. I'm going to guess you haven't met . . . William Shatner.
  8. 1. Sean Connery, actor 2. Art Adams, comic artist 3. Jessica Alba, actress 4. Jae Lee, comic artist 5. Ron Lim, comic artist
  9. Many people think time is linear, but . . .
  10. Plus, she's Salma Hayek. I mean, plus, she's part Lebanese.
  11. Well, they failed to disappear that one. Amazon has it available on Kindle. 😁
  12. Quick reaction force is just military jargon for ... a force that can react quickly. Probably doesn't merit caps in this context, as it mentions they are the Oathkeepers' (organization) QRF.
  13. Both major factions in the US were on this track long before Trump ran for office. He's more of a symptom, IMO. He's what you get when you get the government you deserve. The US left civil discourse by the wayside years before Trump. Yet, during all of those years, the reasonable people, who could still manage to disagree amicably, and would point to the louder elements on their "side" of the political spectrum and say "that's not me" . . . didn't get off their behinds and vote.
  14. Trailer looked promising. I just hope they don't have four episodes of him trying to remember who he is and two of him being Moon Knight. Hawkeye managed to avoid the pacing issues of the other Disney+ Marvel shows, so I'm crossing my fingers.
  15. I like how the second guy here says that he can't wait to see what CD Projekt Red does with an unlicensed property . . . Cyberpunk 2077. Yeah, totally original universe that isn't licensed right there. Credibility as any kind of expert on the genre went out the window with that one. He just did a bit of reading on the internet and made a profanity-filled rant video for hits. Also, I always want to punch people the second I hear the word "cuck" come out of their mouth. My take: I've never played the Witcher games. I've never read the books or stories. I've seen the show. When I watched it, I didn't say, "Hey! This reminds me of Elric." I've read the Elric saga five or six times. I don't care about the superficialities, numerous though they may be. It looks like less of a direct rip off of Elric, and more of a grabbing of random tropes (buff potions before combat, monster hunting, etc.) from pop culture generic fantasy, a la D&D, Warhammer, that were themselves already borrowing heavily from Elric and other sources. It's about the execution, the particulars. Ideas are a dime a dozen. It would be very interesting to see an analysis from an IP law attorney, but just for academic reasons.
  16. I don't mind tax and spend. I just mind tax and waste. And tax and fraud.
  17. So, I Doubt It, Abby. A sitcom about a wealthy society lady and her surly manservant . . .
  18. Kingpin's suits are bullet and cut resistant. Plus, he's extremely tough, and able to move around when he's seriously injured. So, in the one scene, he probably took some internal damage that he was pushing through, and he was acting a little concussed too, IMO.
