  1. The Goku level would be All the Time and he'd have a few dice of Unluck with social side effects. And physical limitation: no brain to mouth filter.
  2. Yeah, it was Hogan! Couldn't remember the name. The Mongolian Asgardian, lol.
  3. OK, I remember those guys. I remember Thor spending all of a couple panels thrashing them for some reason way back.
  4. Um.. Who's Thunderball? I haven't read a comic in a while, I guess.
  5. I just make gross generalizations about the distances. =) You might want to track distances for chases, but otherwise all you really need to know is relative movement speeds.
  6. One thing I like to do with EM is to allow the player to recall off the wall facts and trivia that might be useful in a situation with an unmodified INT roll. Some people seem to play it as more of an ability to recall just things that happened in game. I think it should apply to any odd bits of info the character may have rattling around in their head, with the INT roll representing the ability to see the relevence of the info. Basically, if someone has a character with EM, they get some more clues to think over. I don't know if that makes it worth more than five pts. though.
  7. I thought it was the Metro (aka Suzuki Swift...)
  8. A while back I was making a character with STR tricks who was "more powerful than a speeding locomotive" and the consensus was that a 75 STR would do it, so 70 + a push seems to work. Don't ask me how we arrived at that number, though, b/c I forgot. =)
  9. There ya go! Make 'em three levels w/MA instead and you have that point left over for the HA. Problem solved. =) If he's using the claws w/MA anyway, then he's not going to be using the standard maneuvers all that much, so it should work out.
  10. Unless I'm missing a limitation on the HA, it should work out to 3 pts. Re: the weight of Adamantium. In the 80's or so, when I was reading X-men, everyone who ever had to haul around an unconcious Wolverine remarked on how heavy he was for his size (that's the five-three one). Of course, Marvel now knowing how much (or settling on how much) imaginary things weigh is no surprise, and no biggie. The old MSH game just gave him +1CS (column shift) damage, so +1d6 HA seems good enough. Heck, could just say some of his MA damage classes are from the skeleton too.
  11. Re: The STR. Well, "Classic" Wolvie was about five-three but solid, so the 15 was a good call there. The Ultimate Wolvie has grown to a buff six foot, IIRC, and he's quite a bit stronger. The mainstream current Wolverine also seems bordering on max human too, same as the 90's blood-bath version. On the writeup: I didn't get a chance to look at it in detail, but I didn't see extra Hand Attack damage on there. He should probably get an extra 2d6 or so for the skeleton, as it's one of his schticks.
  12. I probably wouldn't sweat the time issue either way with a PC, given the OIHID form has some major limitations. And, of course, if you have a Magneto type in the campaign, well... You could also impose a minor limitation like an Ego roll or power skill roll to change back when under stress. Like, when Magneto-clone is using the character as a battering ram against his allies.
  13. I'm not talking about the adder, I'm talking about the Power. It's been relegated to a crappy sidebar writeup (p. 152) as a costume change under Fifth. What I'm saying is just use the 4th Ed. version and call it a day. Or use the sidebar version from Fifth and call it a day. The point is, if you play up the inconvenience of the OIHID form, you don't need to adhere strictly to the time to change part of the limitation. Sheesh, it's only a -1/4 limitation afterall. Make the character pay an extra ten points or so to offset a small part of the limitation. Seems fair enough to me.
  14. I'd just give him Insta-Change to offset the limitation on time. "Some difficulty" could come into play by occasionally putting the character into situations where being extremely heavy and metallic aren't a good idea.
  15. I'd peg most of them around 500 or so, actually. Reed: INT and Science skills, fairly cheap. Bemdy tricks, not too bad. Huge gadget pool, pretty spendy. Toss in all the Contacts, Vechicles and the Base, and you're hitting over the 500 most likely. Sue: Pretty basic power set, albiet huge levels of raw power on the force fields. I'd probably do a MP and an EC for her forcefield and maybe a smaller MP for her invisibility tricks. She'd probably fall a little under the 500. Ben: Doable on 500. His physical stats are going to be impressive. Buying up CON and BDY are definately in concept for him, which puts him beyond your average starting Champions brick. I'd peg him at least 40 CON (he's the last man standing vs. the Champion, and his END is among the highest in the MU.), and at least 20, if not more, BDY. He's got good defenses, but not as high as a lot of other Marvel bricks, it's just that he can take a punch and keep on going. Beyond that, you've got some combat levels (i'd just give him some eight pointers), a solid skill set with decent mental stats, and some martial arts. Johnny: Probably doable on 500, since he's not huge on stats, or skills. He's got mainly powers to suck up points, like Sue does. (Of course, they all have extensive contacts, favors and other perks to consider, like Reed does.)
  16. So, what's your point? Genre-books aren't settings? So, he should have said that the reviewer could have pointed out the SETTING books, which Hero ALSO puts out, with more on the schedule. This is just splitting hairs, the criticism of the usage of "settingless" is still valid.
  17. re: Movie Superman's weight. Actually, I do think in the first movie, he tells Lois that he's abnormally heavy. Dense Kryptonian flesh or something. So maybe a little KB resistance for that version...
  18. Cool writeup. One question:Why Jack of All Trades? Sans the skills VPP, he only has one PS.
  19. The bullet has better sectional density. So, should be better vs. walls. Of course, the game doesn't have much of a mechanic for drilling through walls (i.e., hitting a wall and the round carrying through) vs. damaging them. Plate has to be pretty much hit at a ninety degree angle to be penetrated by arrow fire, but it is possible. That's why the Ruffles ridges on Maximillian and some other plate.
  20. The bullet vs. arrow thing is b/c joules of energy aren't the soul, or even most important, determinants of damage. Permanent wound channel is more what I'd say that's based on, if you're using broadheads. (I think there was a whole thread on this a while back, several months.) Anyway.... All Hail the Munchkin King! Long time, no see Champsguy.
  21. NSG's conversions should work pretty well. For Mirror Move, basically, it's an attack move that mimics the last attack that hit your pokémon. I think a Mimic Pool with an appropriate custom limitation should work.
  22. Cool, I like Pokémon! I'll have to give old Brown Eyes credit for using ALT-130, too.
  23. Just wanted to ask if the reviewer has brown eyes? B/C someone's full of . . .
