  1. I'm shocked that someone remembers The Big O.
  2. I guess we can include that in the Cast book also. Note: the Cast book contains stats for anyone who would be used all adventure. Temporary character stats would be in the adventure they appear in. So, how many of them will be original characters, and how many will be from VV 2 and VV 3? If we need a fake mastermind my vote is for Mastadon (a rework on European Enimies Mammoth, done more for comedy than anything else...not that he is directly funny). He also can work as a red herring, to make players think he is the big mastermind, then when he is captured the plan actually continues...
  3. I agree. Power Rangers and Transformers have there own RPGs (along with GI Joe and My Little Pony, all using the same system). It's already out there, and our game system is as good as Essence 20 is. Right guys? Right?
  4. Well...what we could do... Book 1) Champions Rises Player's Book. Reprint the MC7 as example characters and advice on character creation. Recommend Heroes In A Hurry book as an option. Do an overview of what might be needed in the adventure. Book 2) Champions Rises Cast Of Characters. A GM book full of NPC stats of characters needed for the campaign. If we can't print everyone, we can tell GMs where to find the writeup and what to do if you can't find it (don't own the book...) Book 3) Champions Rises: The Fire And Beyond. The adventure book itself, covering the apartment fire starting adventure and the first few adventures after that, including the investigation of the fire. Note: we don't actually have to start this way...the name is pending since we are doing this via group Book 4 on) The rest of the adventures till we reach our goal. Book X) Champions Rises. The complete adventure all in one book.
  5. @Christopher R Taylor, my sister would love it if you PM me. As for the copying of Pathfinder's paths...sounds like multiple books with a plan...and a pain to keep everything straight unless the entier thing is authored by one person. And we are expecting potential GMs to divide there money over time instead of buying the entire adventure at once. It is something Hero Games has never done before. I'm a bit no opinion either way about it myself.
  6. I'm thinking, any guidelines for Victorian superheroes and villains? I'm sure Spring Heal Jack is an example of both. Varnie the Vampire is decently a villain.
  7. They are both the same thing. Champions is the superhero setting. Hero System is the rules set.
  8. Background on the title machine and advice on using it in a campaign. Of course lots of villains.
  9. Ok. Not complaining too much. How do Pathfinder Adventure Paths go anyways?
  10. So you want to play Big G? Or defend the city against Big G?
  11. I do think new adventures would be best. Maybe even new villains.
  12. I don't know. I don't own nor play Pathfinder. But why are we trying to mimic Pathfinder? We are the Hero System. We are Champions. We are not Pathfinder.
  13. So what are we truly thinking? Reprinting Digital Hero adventures? Original adventures? How many adventures? Will there be cardboard standies? Fake wanted posters? A box set?
  14. Speaking of past edition villains, which ones would you add to this? Which 6ed villains would you add to it?
  15. Humm...that would be up to the group. If we are allowed to use 6ed villains, we might be forbidden from reprinting there stats. We have to check with the boss first. But for villains from 6ed we could use... Oger Pulsar Laser Those are the three which come to mind.
  16. True. The worse would be a Physical Complication: Tight Laced (requires a STR roll to bend down if needed, a CON roll to avoid being winded if moving at a run), and is not needed or recommended for players to take. As for wearing a hobble dress/skirt, can't run when wearing one (at least the ones without leg slits), and can't kick unless making a DEX roll...but that is it. And I'm sure a woman of adventure will not be beyond taking a knife to her skirt if needed.
  17. An odd question...what is the effect of wearing a corset? Of wearing a hobble skirt?
  18. Champions doesn't do reality. This grabbing a cape is nothing special. Much like wearing a hobble skirt doesn't affect movement speed unless the game master makes it so.
  19. Ok. I like the idea of the apartment fire. 1) it encourages creative use of powers. 2) it encourages a non-violent solving of problems. 3) Chances for role-playing with each NPC saved. 4) If players do well, they have a great chance for positive PR.
  20. Thanks. I barely remember Space 1899, and pondered what a version for Hero would be like.
  21. The modern writeup for Thugmaster would probably have that. Mostly because that didn't exist till 4ed. Oops. Was thinking of Lighting Reflexes. I see this as a 50 point VVP, only to mimic skills and skill defined powers (examples: Invisability defined as Stealth, Flight defined as hyper climbing only when in contact with vertical surfaces, Healing which requires a first aid roll).
  22. At least 11 writeups before adding original characters. I honestly forgotten about Darkon. Nice to know you worked with Dennis to make it happen. If you actually need more characters to put in this, an ex-villain turned hero could work. You might actually ask Dennis about the 'rules' around the Ubermachine. Can people die instead of gaining powers? Exactly what powers can a person get when using it? What would happen if someone with powers uses the machine? And, any other questions I can't think of.
  23. Destroyer can easily be a behind the scenes villain. He would want to test the heroes as opposed to destroying them right now. That could be doable, with or without Destroyer being the end game mastermind. Telous can easily be the mastermind behind "What Rouge Beast" if we are not going with Destroyer. Humm...any other adventure can we string into this adventure? "Your Horoscope For Aquarous"? Anyways...we should ask for permission of the original writers of each adventure we are going to use. But we should have a backup list if we can't use them. A bank robbery... ...a stolen tech... ...a kidnapping... ...anything else... (Yadda yada yada)
  24. Humm...we obviously should start with a bank robbery. We end with a city destroying event which would require a few NPC heroes to do things which will free the our heroes to take care of the mastermind.
