  1. Template Male 5 All right, the next few are my own. I drew them.
  2. Template Male 8 OK, so they aren't in numerical order. My apologies.
  3. Template Male 1 Ok, here are some templates. Unless I say otherwise, these are all someone else's art which I or my brother have cleaned up to make the template.
  4. Re: Busy Beavers As far as drawing goes, not me. If you look closely, you'll see that most of the stuff I posted was done in the '90s. I have been busy with my new scanner and Photoshop program, turning my old hardcopy work into little electronic particles that transmit so much better over the web... if that counts? Mags
  5. Thanks... Thanks, RM. If you look closely, you'd see that X-Ray is just a color-invert from another Pic I posted several pages back- Chrome! Yeah, but really the group shot is only of Mags, Taser, Randamn and Puma... the others are all abstract close-ups and filler. All of the heros shown in that poster were from the team's starting line-up. We had some 8 or 9 line-ups in all, before the campaign tanked. As for seeing Mags in color: check out page 12 of this thread. There are a couple of pics in color. My avatar is one, too. There was a time in the game when she was transformed, and it melted/smooth her armor, which changed her appearance dramatically. However, after taking enough body in fights afterward, she was back to her old, ragged and rugged self. Yup. I drew so many pics there for awhile that I was just tossing some to the side as not worth working on... This one was one of them. Good idea. I'll try that. Not my template, technically. I created a bunch of templates by drawing them, but this one was from a time when I took several decent poses and whited out all detail except for the basic form. My brother made a few of these too, so between us we have well over a two dozen male and female templates. I could post them if someone would like, otherwise, I won't. Mags
  6. My 2 cents... The group I'm running through CB is a bunch of villains (not real bad guys, just misunderstood) who are trying to redeem themselves and become heros under the watchful eye of a mysterious Professor Grey (who is really Dr. Silverback conducting a psycologial experiment). The group's name- The Grey Guardians. The first two scenarios ran ok. The only problem I had in "A Walk in the Park" was that none of the characters had any technical skills and couldn't deal with the bomb. To fix that, I just had it blow up right after they got there. I made the battle the main focus. Considering their unique situation, there were more concerned about fighting the Champions once they arrived. (The Champions are the premere hero group and my heros all are still wanted for some minor crime or other.... outstanding warrants can be a bitch.) In "Let's Go to the Maul", the glitch was that one player was more interested in killing Foxbat thatn anything else. What a drag. As for "Omegaworld" my group is right in the middle of the scenario at this point- We won't finish it until next Saturday's game. There was a major flaw in "Omegaworld" that my gaming group picked up on right away- the place was built without any security systems or guards! After the first couple of ride situations, my group wanted to shut down the entire park and make everyone leave. I have been trying to convince them that the people who built this place never even conceived of the idea that anyone could or would sabotage the rides, or do anything along terrorist lines in the park for that matter, and that is why there aren't any security measures (cameras and the like). I told them that after this, you bet there will be strong security added to the themepark, but that doesn't help them now. The group went down to the main powerstation and shut off the power. Now they are hunting out the badguy, that they are only guessing is Black Harlequin (it was the robot teddybears that gave them a clue). Obviously, with the power shut down, people are slowly filing out of the park. I expect the game to be real short now.... on to the next scenario. Mags
  7. ... Personally, I think my composition skills suck. I need to take a class on design and composition. Mags
  8. X-MEN: The gals... Thought I'd share this quick sketch I did a while back. It's the ladies from the X-MEN, just in case you couldn't tell. I didn't really like how it was turning out, so I never finished it. I did think that Rogue looked ok... and maybe Psylocke.
  9. Vibron My version of Vibron: Feltpens on a template, and some adjustments with Photshop.
  10. Something completely different... I'm going to share with you two halves of a poster I began back in '92 when we were running our VALOR (Vigilant Avengers for Law, Order & Retribution) group. I've scanned it in my own scanner, but now I have two separate pics that I have no clue on how to match up. I think maybe I'll go to a Kinkos to shrink the poster so I can rescan it as a single pic. Here they are, a bit dirty, but keep in mind its a WIP: They are, clockwise from top left: Strobe, Magmarock, Jenna (I think), Randamn, Taser, Flashback, Puma, and Ally.
  11. Loading time... The way I see it, if anyone is checking out this thread for the art, they're going to be loading the pics sooner or later. So why not sooner? Here's a refresher: < img src="InsertImageURLhere" > The above (without spaces between the < & >, but leaving the space between img & src) being entered in the post during an edit, so that you have the URL first. Just to be sure, I'll test it with another pic.
  12. "You give me fever..." Nice pic! I like that one. More, Redmenace, more! Mags PS: By the way, how come no one is linking the pics to their posts lately?
  13. Re: Champs trivia I not only remember them (Mwua hahahahah!) I own them all! Whoot! Mags
  14. Bumpity... ...bump...bump...bump...
  15. Aha... I've done this! I ran a Mentalist that had Invisibility built this way. She made ONE attack roll (and one effects roll) for any given situation that she used it in and the GM applied that to the targets (anyone who would normally see her should she not be invisible). Mental Defense made it even harder for my PC to hide from people, but it could be done with a good enough roll. Also, this was in 4th Ed before there were classifications, so she had the LIM: Only vs. Living Beings. If I made a lousy roll, I could always try again, but then it took another action. There was always the possibility of someone noticing my PC fading in and out, too. What a hoot! It worked out ok for us. One of the nice things about the Hero System, you can usually build any power in multiple ways. It says in the book that if a power can be built two ways, the most expensive way is the correct way... but that is not always the case. Mags
  16. ... I couldn't see it either. Just a little red X. Mags
  17. Ok. I can live with that. We do the same in our campaign. But even so, building a power in a new and unique way doesn't mean cheating on the points. I take it you are the GM then, I say stay strong and don't let them walk on you. Cheers! Mags
  18. In our game, we allow that healing roll to be made for each separate wound. Its just a matter of the players keeping track of each one. Another option is that when the roll is applied to a wounded PC, that the healing is applied to all wounds separately and simultaneously. Obviously very bad injuries are still going to be harder to heal, unless the healing is cumulative. Mags
  19. Perhaps, but it doesn't pertain to this sword with a FF that is on when it is held (which will be whenever it's used). The FF is continuous, right? But just for the sake of discussion, what about when the sword is not being used? Is it sheathed? How easy is it to be taken from the PC at that point? I've a suspicion that none of this really matters- because my guess is that this player appears to want the benefits of an OIF focus, but he wants the higher point from an OAF focus. I say choose and be done with it. I have made many PCs that have instant powers bought with either OAF or OIF. So have the many people I play Champions with... I've never seen anyone try to make a single focus both OIF and OAF. Seems very questionable to me. This guy needs to choose one and be done with it. There are other ways, legal ways, to make a power cheaper. Mags
  20. One other thing... If a target has Invisibility to the mental group, then he wouldn't be seen at all by the PC doing the Detect Minds, right? Also, I think the Mental Defense should give better protection from Detect Minds than just a penalty to the perception roll... maybe it should hide more of the initial information that would normally be gathered- make it cloudy or spotty. Also regarding Steve Long's suggestion about Detect Minds: "That’s up to the GM, but in general things like the target’s INT and EGO, what Mental Powers the target has and how powerful they are, and so forth." The information, if given out by the GM, shouldn't be handed to the PC in terms of "Oh, he has an 18 INT and a 23 EGO", nor should the powers be described in any other meta-gaming terminology (i.e. frameworks or source of powers). Better to say that one of the minds is far superior in intelligence or potental- this mind has a sense of superior willpower to it - far above the norm- Mensa-level intelligence- etc. No character should know the numbers that make up any individual, it's a necessary conceptual abstraction that we, the GMs & Players need to play the game and has no place in the game itself. Mags
  21. Look at it this way guys, The classification of the LIM OAF or OIF applies only to when a power is in use. For example: Captain Blastor has a battle suit (armor + all powers) that is OIF while he is wearing it (i.e. when he can actually use it's powers), which is not all of the time because CB has a Secret ID. What this means is that while he is wearing the suit, it will take a full turn to remove the suit from him. What this also means is that it is possible for someone to steal his car while the suit is packed up in the trunk, or to even try and take the suit's case from him before he is wearing it. As for the sword with FF that is in question, I'd say that the sword should be bought only with OIF period. The FF will be in place everytime the sword is in use, so the LIM for more free points is not applicable. Find another LIM to make the sword cheaper, my opinion. Mags
