  1. Shuriken This is a sketch of a PC I ran once, long ago. She is a flying, ninja vigilante called Shuriken. It was a low powered game, as I recall. I think the PCs were at 200 points.
  2. Re: Lady Victory Nice pic, but you might want to rethink the coloring on the shoulder armor. The gold is too close to her haircolor. Or you could darken her hair a bit (nicely drawn hair, by the way) and give her hair the gold highlights. Just a suggestion.
  3. ... I say "If you gots the points and it fits the PC concept, then go for it...!" Sometimes you need multiple frameworks to accurately run the PC's powers as envisioned. At the risk of highjacking the thread, by the way, I think the more serious munchkin problem is in taking cheesy, unwarranted Limitations on powers to make them cheaper. Might as well just build a PC on more points and be done with it.. IMHO Mags
  4. Epoch Wildcat, I like Epoch's face, both the before (smiling) and after (serious), because it is different. He has a very unique look to him, not like a cookie-cutter copy of some blah hero's face. The face you gave him is not beautiful, but it is well drawn and expressive. Please keep creating new, individual faces for your characters, it is wonderful! Mags Kinda reminds me of a young Ron Perlman...
  5. I usually take Public IDs on my PCs And I have had a wide variety of professions for my PCs too: Rock star Assistant DA Defending attourny Private Investigator Police officer FBI Profiler ex CIA agent Flowershop owner Tarot reader (Owned own occult shop) Librarian Reporter Photographer Computer programmer Secretary Waitress Fastfood cashier Gas station attendant and the list goes on... About 70% of my PCs (and NPCs) have Public IDs, the rest are Private IDs. I might have made one or two characters with Secret IDs, but I can't remember what they were... wait, one was into low-level politics, I think. Mags
  6. Elven woman No name. I did this with brush and ink straight to the paper. No pencils first. Surprised the hell outta myself that it turned out so well.
  7. How strange... When I looked, I didn't see it. Ah well, I followed your link and posted a bunch of stuff there. Reposted a couple pics too, so the FH people out there won't feel slighted. Mags EDIT: Oh! Ha. Silly me! The default for visible threads is 5 days. That's why I didn't see the threads. Ooooookie dokie. Learned my lesson. Never mind.
  8. Stylized Knight I sketched this while looking at a similar drawing...
  9. D&D PCs There once was a half-orc assassin, a half-elven ranger, and a cleris of Sune...
  10. Young dwarven berserker I think that says it all...
  11. Celene NPC Celene, half-elven ranger.
  12. Female centaur I hope this isn't too risque... female centaur dancing.
  13. Silver Centaur I posted this in the Superhero images thread, and Tim thought I should repost it here.
  14. Sistar with daggers Here is another pic of Sistar, this time with daggers. By the way, both pics were done in colored pencils. LOL Kinda like a little Zena, yes?
  15. Little Sistar Hey, I just found out about this thread... thought I'd post a few fantasy-themed pics. This is a halfing PC I ran several years back. Her name is Sistar (evolved from "little sister" ) and she was raised in slavery to be a pit fighter. She knows little else than fighting, singing and dancing. Her favorite passtime is hunting "intrigues" with her new friends. My brother drew the longsword. Sistar wields it two-handed.
  16. I am blushing... Thank you, Tim! I didn't know there was an art thread in the FH section...I haven't looked there since I play D&D for my twice-a-month fantasy fix. I'll go check it out now though! Cheers, Mags Edit: I looked and couldn't find the FH art thread. Bummer, too, because I have a couple pics of a very cool halfling pit fighter. *sigh*
  17. Hey all... I was perusing the Hero Games forum archives and I came across a thread started by Natoman: "I dig Storn's new take on Grond quite a bit. Right before we got to see his drawing of Grond on this site, I was working on a drawing of him myself. I haven't finished inking it yet. He's more of the classic Grond that many folks here still seem to enjoy. Hope you guys like. He's landing from a super gigantic leap and smashing his lower arms into the grond while getting ready to grab with his uppers. There will be a lot of smoke clouds and stuff when I'm done. I may color it too. Anyway, click on the thumbnail for the big version. This will be one of my 5 Champions images that I'm allowed on my site." - Natoman Grond is one of my favorite villains. I've brought out that baddie as GM more times than any other single villain. (GROND NOT HAPPY!) Anyway, the pic is no longer there (in Natoman's archived thread) and I never saw it. Does anyone have this pic and if so, could they post it? Of course, if Natoman reads this, I'd prefer he posted it here for us all to see. By the way, Nato, did you ever finish it? Cheers! Mags
  18. One more... You can take a side effect, so that if your PC fails to create a duplicate, he takes STUN or some other kind of adverse effect, like Burnout- where you cannot duplicate again until the end of the adventure or some other time frame... Mags
  19. D&D characters... But good enough for Fantasy Hero, I think... Greya the Dim was my PC, a half-orc assassin. Blaze was my brother's half-elven ranger. And Fyala was a human cleric of Sune (I think it was Sune).
  20. ... Great idea, Polaris! If DoJ can offer add ons for Hero Designer, why not PDF add ons for modules? Even though I don't play Star hero, I can see where a star chart would come in handy. (Not sure if you guys run ship to ship fights ala Star Fleet Battles or Babylon 5, but it would be neat, I think) I also like the idea of just photocopying the villans needed for a partucular adventure and slipping them in the module where needed. Come to think of it... they already have available the Hero Designer add ons with the villains in PDF format. Very easy to print out whichever villain you need and use it that way. Maybe that will help? Mags
  21. Yikes Uhm, im my group, we only give limitations if it actually limits a power. If your PC only spreads his attacks, then how is this limiting your PC? If you make his spread attack just as effective as his normal attacks, then why would he ever use a normal one? Not a limitiation in my book. You need to find another way to make the power cheaper...
  22. My pardon By format, I wasn't referring only to the layout... I was referring to the entire product, including content. Maybe a free PDF download of such info (villain stat blocks and such) can be offered in addition to the hard copy of an adventure. That way, everyone is happy- people aren't forced to pay for the same material they already own, and those who want the extras can download it and print it out. Sounds like a good compromise to me. There can be a code or something for the download, maybe, so you'd need to buy the book before you can get the stat blocks. Or something like that. Mags
  23. Damn! Good stuff Wildcat! I am truly humbled.
