I never said that it cannot be done. Only that it requires such long time periods that it is not to be accomplished in a reasonable timeframe. This is in addition to the high costs that such an endeavor would require. A two person spaceplane costs as much as a 727 does. In addition the people onboard will require the necessary food, water, propellants, life support systems etc that would be necessary to get them such a distance. A simple trip to Mars would require more than one year just to reach the planet, the asteroids would be even longer plus the time that is spent there and the return time.
Anyway, we are getting off-topic. I was wondering just what impact supers would have on the modern world if they did truly exist, not a critique of my system (although that is a good thing to continue doing).
Here is one thing that I considered:
Shipping companies will not bother with transport vehicles. Instead when someone comes in with something to ship, the company will give it to the next super that could reach the destination within one day if national (this includes Canada and Mexico) or one week if it crosses an ocean. Why maintain a fleet in every part of the globe when this one fleet at home could do the same thing for a fraction the cost?
