  1. Re: Failure To Stop Drill Is this the double tap, or the third shot??
  2. Re: 4th edition support Interesting. Most games I've played in, SPD tends to be 5, occasionally 6, with a FEW Bricks at 4. Speedsters tend 8-9.
  3. Re: 4th edition support Nah. Lots and LOTS of COM.
  4. Re: Whoops, folks actually liked this: Nu Warriors! What kind of "chicks" are these???? And here I thought they were run by ultra-reactionaries. OK, campaign rules: No INT over 7, one KS/SS/PS at 14- or better, no others at above 11- (and those only regarding "chicks", drinking, drugs, etc.; all others are Familiarities), Psych Lim: must think frats are "kewl", Psych Lim: will do almost anything for sex (except pay for it, or behave decently), Physical Lim: incapable of treating women as human beings. Such a campaign would only work if done as a total mock. The players would be able to get out their frustration at the vicious, nasty, violent, stupid, putrid people creatures things that infest frats. I can't see any other way to make it work.
  5. Re: Bolt, the super dog Who threw it?
  6. Re: "Es lebe die Freiheit!"- German Resistance Champions I had a character like this once. Born & raised in Stalin's USSR. One of the "one in 25,000,000" capable of great mental powers. So she was raised by the state with everything set so her power could be awakened at (very late) puberty. 2 months before her 17th, they fired up the McGuffin device. She develops telepathy first, finds out what kind of people are running Russia, and waits until she gets TK. Then she RUNS for it! Great background; I had lots of fun with her.
  7. Re: Project 1000: Build a Legend/Megahero I am stealing so many of these. I little change, and some can be master villains, Earth's Guardian™ (who never bothers with mere city-threatening probs), DuexExGuy, and so on.
  8. Re: Caps and averages for your campaigns Why re-invent the wheel? Just use the "Character Types Guidelines Table" and the "Character Ability Guidelines Table". They're in the rulesbook, and in "Champions" on page 126. Unless you want something unusual in your campaign (damage higher than defenses, high 'ristics, etc.), those are well balanced (because they're very time-tested. ).
  9. Re: Failure To Stop Drill OK, I got it. It's a drill (like a fire drill) to learn how to kill 'em reeeelly dead. But you aren't trainling how to fail to stop, so the name's confusing. It needs another name. "Kill 'em Deader Drill"?
  10. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I may regret asking, but.... Which one is it that's trying to have said affair with said mage? Clearly, you already did. Two what? Decades: no problem Centuries: well preserved. Years: PROBLEM (and need of explanation, I'm guessing)
  11. Re: Super Transportation I'll take one of each, please. Have them delivered to my lair headquarters, please.
  12. Re: 4th edition support Except Shapeshift, which was turned into some kind of messed-up Images. Stick with 4th edition Shapeshift.
  13. Re: I need a function! A gambler's dream, the Roach Card can be summoned by its owner to (totally untraceably) replace any card he's touching. Further, it can be made to look like any other card that the user can think of, of any size. Lastly, it's indestructible. It got it's name when one owner slipped up during an "informal" poker game; one of the people being cheated called him a "roach" will beating him to death. BTW, there's no reason to suppose the Roach Card is limited to imitating playing cards. ---------------------------------------------------- Now let's see: The Punky's Maw.
  14. Re: Sword and sorcery Hey, I have no set opinion about arch-villains, in S&S or anywhere else. I just wondered why he said he couldn't have one.
  15. Re: Money in Fantasy Setting I'm not getting "done" on anyone. I just don't see the point.
  16. Re: Failure To Stop Drill Hm. I thought shooting at anything but Center of Mass™ was A Bad Thing™ I still don't get what's failing and what's drilling.
  17. Re: Paris Hilton as a super villain You know who his avatar is, don't you? He's going to need a new avatar soon, though.
  18. Re: EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle GIMME! Ooops. Sorry, got carried away. Originally Posted by Capt. Vasili Borodin I will live in Montana. And these days, all your info is on your D.L., and can be read by anyone with the right equipment.
  19. Re: Failure To Stop Drill Call me confused ("Hi, Con Fuzed!") but I don't get what you think is the failure. You want a 3-shot A.F., OK, you can buy it. BTW, I thought this thread would be about a scenario, where the PC's were supposed to stop a drill (fire, earthquake, ?????), but had failed to, and you were wondering where to take the campaign.
  20. Re: Sword and sorcery What makes you think you can't have an arch-villain? Did I miss something in Valdorian??
  21. Re: Mountains of Madness?!? Just wait until Professor O. Dius tinkers with his Earth Borer so it will work through ice. Then he will go to those mountains and take all the Unreallium-329! Then the world will regret laughing at him! Mad! They called me mad!! Soon they will learn the truth---I am the greatest genius that ever lived! Mwahahaha!!
  22. Re: Money in Fantasy Setting It's fantasy! Whatever you want to use for money is OK. Sheesh. It's not re-creation, it's recreation.
