archermoo
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Well, it's on a Dead Can Dance album entitled "Toward The Within". Very good stuff, IMNSHO. Here's the lyrics for one of the more...interesting...ones: I Am Stretched On Your Grave I am stretched on your grave And will lie there forever With your hands held in mine I'd be sure we'd not sever My apple tree my brightness 'Tis time we were together For I smell of the earth And am stained by the weather When my family thinks That I'm safe in my bed From night until morning I am stretched at your head Calling out to the air With tears both hot and wild Oh I grieve for the girl That I loved as a child The priests and the friars Behold me in dread Because I still love you My love and you're dead I would still be your shelter From rain and from storm And with you in your cold grave I cannot sleep warm Very nice intrumentals on this one as well...haunting even... AliceTheOwl
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER My favorite song's lyrics are: Couldn't sleep so I went out walking Thinking about you and hearing us talking And all the things I should have said Echo now, inside my head I feel something falling from the sky I'm so sad I made the angels cry Tears from the moon Fall down like rain I reach for you I reach in vain Tears from the moon, tears from the moon It just ain't fair this thing called loving When one step there and the other feels nothing I would have done anything for you I still love you, baby I adore you All day I keep from falling apart But at night when the sky gets dark Tears from the moon Fall down like rain I reach for you I reach in vain Stop, Stop haunting me It should be easy As easy as when you stopped wanting me Tears from the moon Fall down like rain I reach for you I reach in vain Tears from the moon Fall down like rain but tears from the moon can't wash away the pain Tears from the moon, tears from the moon Tears from the moon, tears from the moon

As an interesting coincidence, when I was getting the lyrics for I Am Stretched On Your Grave, I discovered that apparantly Sinead also did a version of it. An odd syncronicity... Currently listening to What I Am by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians. While I was at OU one of the Philisophy profs did a lecture about this song...very interesting. It's . . . well, it's hard to say what it is I like about the song. It's really mournful, and in turns righteously angry, as well. I dunno. gewing
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I used to have a chinese one of those, the added safety sucked, and the metal was so soft they only stated it had a lifespan of 2000 rds. I wish there had been a high performance hollowpoint for it at the time, but because there wasn't I used the 9mm barrel. So here.

I had a CD with that on it, I think I loaned it to someone and never got it back. I don't even remember who it was. It had another song I kind of liked called "worms." I was working graveyard shift in a convenience store, and a little depressed.

zornwil
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I am now officially moving to Augusta GA. Next week is the Masters Tournament. The whole city pretty much shuts down for the week because it can't handle the traffic and visitor stress. Weird... Hawksmoor How come Augusta? zornwil
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER If you outweigh me by a factor of two, you need to lose a lot of weight. Current weight according to the scale is 265. I'd be even more worried if this was two years ago when I was a little close to 300 (295). Granted I had no meat on me when I graduated high school and was 165, but I put on 2" and 60 lbs in the next 2 years. My frame works best at 235-245. I'm slowly working my way back to that, or at least replacing the fat with muscle. I would have had no clue you were pushing 300, so it wasn't too bad. But excellent work, I didn't realized you'd lost that much (or needed to).

lemming
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I'm happy to say that I was wrong. I currently weigh around what your frame works best at (I don't have a scale, so I don't know exactly how much I weigh). Mostly unrelated, but when I was at OU I knew a guy that was 6'7" and weighed 165 lbs. He generally ate between 6 and 10 helpings of food at the cafeteria, but never gained any weight. That is until he joined the Air Force several years later. Last I heard he managed to get almost up to 200 lbs. Heh. It took a lot of work for me to build up to 235 when I was younger. I think on the only reasons I gained back then was I was lumberjacking at home 30 eucalyptus trees one summer combined with all you can eat at the college cafeteria with much biking. No fat gain, but plenty of muscle. And then I got a computer job a few years later and went soft. Got back a few years later with Kenpo.
