Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Kittens are being fixed today. They spent the night at the vet's holding area. So we got to sleep last night, and will have a rougher time of it tonight.

Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Yeah, they are pretty unhappy for 8 to 24 hours, typically. Then they bounce back. And shortly after that we deliver them to the shelter for adoption. They are ripe: all of them start purring when you pick them up.

Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER The four folded-ears ones seem to push a lot of people's cute buttons. The two others have strong personalities and should endear themselves to folks quickly. Even though black kittens tend to take longer to be adopted than the fancier colors, these guys should go quick.

DocMan
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER We would love to have a new kitten, but we have an old cat who is very territorial who would never allow a newcomer. Doc
SteveZilla
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER My old cat is very territorial -- it took a lot of work to get him to accept sharing my place with the young cat I rescued (abandoned by a neighbor who moved). He still doesn't like her and avoids her where possible. But he growls & hisses at her often and they still get into fights from time to time. Is there such a thing as (low dose) kitty valium I can give him to calm him down so maybe he can learn to be more social?

Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Kittens came home snarly, but seem to have mellowed out overnight. They'll get one more day at our place, then off to the shelter Saturday.
