AliceTheOwl
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER My old cat is very territorial -- it took a lot of work to get him to accept sharing my place with the young cat I rescued (abandoned by a neighbor who moved). He still doesn't like her and avoids her where possible. But he growls & hisses at her often and they still get into fights from time to time. Is there such a thing as (low dose) kitty valium I can give him to calm him down so maybe he can learn to be more social? We thought we'd get past the territorial issue by moving all four cats into the house at the same time. What happened was two adjusted quickly (as they usually do), and the ones that were mad about moving decided to blame the laid-back strangers. *sigh* They are adjusting. Slowly but surely. SteveZilla
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I have a question for those who hav worked with Windows on servers -- specifically the Defragmentation feature. Is it possible for a drive to become so fragmented that it becomes impossible for Windows to defragment it? If so, do you have any suggestions on how to achieve a defragmentation? The servers' drives I'm working with have sufficient space available (20-30% free), but they are all so fragmented it shows up as a solid red bar with the green band for the pagefile. Help? lemming
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER One way before defrag utilities were available was to copy everything to a new drive, format the old one and copy back. Note that is the very simplistic explanation.
