Jkeown
... get their butt kicked as hard as mine got kicked with that new FHG2 cover? Quite the bit o' artwork...
PhilFleischmann
Re: Did anyone else... I don't know. A loincloth on a skeleton seems a little silly to me. I've noticed certain trends in fantasy art that annoy me, like the use of modern fads, such as the lowered waistlines on women's clothes. Don't get me wrong: I'm happy to look at as much bare skin as a woman deigns to show me. It just disrupts my willful suspension of disbelief when I see a "fantasy" character with a punk-rocker mohawk, low-rise pants, and an eyebrow ring. Derek Hiemforth
Re: Did anyone else... I don't know. A loincloth on a skeleton seems a little silly to me. Interesting. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I think it indicates a faint, tiny spark of identity left in the creature, who remembers that his culture decreed he should wear such a thing. Vampires are immune to cold; why do they wear clothing? Because they are still caught up in the mores and trappings of their birth culture. Perhaps, in a much dimmer way, a skeleton is too... Killer Shrike
Re: Did anyone else... Perhaps the skeleton is shy about exposing his pelvic cavity. Full Pelvic Nudity is something not all Undead are completely comfortable with, afterall.
Sociotard
Re: Did anyone else... I wasn't as taken aback by the low waistline as I was by her intriguing top. yawza! gotta get that hot chick at work to try on one of those . . . I did roll my eye's when I noticed that "Chaos Magic" isn't in red. See it? Right between Black Magic and Monster Magic? Lack of conformity in formating is almost as bad as a typo, and having it happen on the cover! Just shameful. I don't mind it so much if it's a once in a while thing in the text, but the cover is what sells the product (some of the time, if the person is kinda stupid). Still, nice cover art. Gotta get one of those tops for the hot chicks . . .

And I would extend that to Sci-Fi characters with modern hair styles. Ever notice how many 80's sci fi heroes have mullets?
