Pariah
So, I had my first CT scan and my first MRI today. Guess I can cross those off the ol' bucket list.

Cancer
Hm. Haven't had either of those. I think I had a chest x-ray once, and lots of dental exam x-rays, but that is pretty much it for medical imaging for me. That's OK; makes it easier to conceal the cyberware. L. Marcus
I've had a couple of both. I'm glad that my phobia is of heights, not cramped spaces.
Cancer
Heh. That one will be an issue for me, if it comes down to it. Though an MRI might be interesting, having all those protons set precessing together.
L. Marcus
It's a very neat concept. If they could just speed the process up, and get better resolution, we could get rid of a big part of everyday ionizing radiation.
Cancer
I haven't studied the details, so I am not sure what limits the technique now.

Pariah
Wrote this at the bottom of a couple of lab reports today: "Because your group and xxx's group submitted exactly the same results, I'm going to take the points you earned on the lab and split them between both groups." Cancer
Such fun. Any chance the two fabricated identical data, in which case they all get zeros?
Pariah
It was basically an "Observe and report" exercise. Fabricating data would've required more effort than actually completing the lab--and more than these particular students would likely be willing to make, I expect. But, under school and classroom policy, I could just go ahead and give them zeroes anyway. I'm giving them half credit because I'm a nice guy. Cancer
Fabricating data does take more effort than doing the lab, but that doesn't stop determined losers from avoiding doing an exercise as given.
