Cancer
Re: The Last Word I liked the one that ended in hangman the best. In fact, it seems like that one ought to be a S. Harris cartoon.
AliceTheOwl
Re: The Last Word I always see that comic on the front page credited to The Far Side. Did Larsen do a spoof of it, or something?
Cancer
Re: The Last Word It must be miscredited. Harris has done a number of famous science cartoons, and that's among the most famous.

Bazza
Re: The Last Word Nothing like finishing an assignment on the last day. When I handed my assingment in, I jokingly told the lecturer (a doctor in information technology) that I wrote it in Latin. He eagerly flicked through it and was disappointed when he saw it was in English.
Cancer
Re: The Last Word Once in German class I handed in a lame little essay that I wrote in Sütterlin script (see here about 1 third of the way down the page) as a way of making up for the fact it was about a factor of five shorter than it said in the original assignment. Got an A anyway.
AliceTheOwl
Re: The Last Word Yeah, I've had teachers bend standards for creative responses. Can't really remember anything offhand, except for the psych professor who'd quiz us on her in-class tangents, and give extra credit for correct answers.
