Re: Musings on Random Musings

Hey, you with the logic. Does this look like the planet Vulcan to you?

;)

Logic clearly dictates I hit you with a fish. :D

*Fish*!

From what I can tell looking into it on the web' date=' it isn't a matter of just not putting mayo on it. Mayo seems to be an integral part of it rather than just a topping that gets added.[/quote']

So? Try a small sandwich without mayo. If it tastes good, don't sweat the details. :)

Re: Musings on Random Musings

I've handled a few kidneys and livers in my time. They don't grow on me for being close. ^^

Never handled kidneys. I've dissected a few sharks though, so I have had to deal with liver. My recollection is that on average 1/3 or so of the body weight of a shark is liver. Having looked inside, I believe it. ;)

A great store of glycogen' date=' the liver is. I imagine sharks need it.[/quote']

It also handles the filtering and/or neutralization of environmental toxins, which considering the diet of the typical shark (anything that they can fit past their teeth) is something they need in abundance. :)

I'm not a fan of mayo and used to really dislike it' date=' but found when used sparingly, it can work.[/quote']

This exactly. I find, however, that no one else on Earth uses it sparingly. Instead there's always a 1/4" thick layer of the stuff, as though the establishment were trying to use it up because it expires tomorrow.

Or yesterday.

Many years ago I worked for a delivery/fast food type place. One of our regulars would order a roast beef sammich, and then head over to the condiment bar and proceed to put a 1/4" thick layer of mayo on both sides of the bun. Occasionally he would also order for delivery and ask us to make it that way for him.

I loathe mayo. I'd much rather have a good horse radish or quality mustard on a roast beef sandwich.
