Steve
How would you design someone who was a gamemaster, if you were building one in Hero rules? What skills and abilities would they have? Here's my thoughts on it: Quick on his mental feet: +3 INT Impressive speaker: +3 PRE Encyclopedic rules knowledge: KS: Game System Rules Able to portray any NPC: Acting Master storyteller: Oratory What else might be good? Any Talents that would be interesting?

Logan D. Hurricanes
Re: Statting out a Gamemaster A good gamemaster, or a bad gamemaster? Because those are two totally different things. Frex: Good gamemaster gets PS: Improvisation 11- Bad Gamemaster gets Psych Lim: Petty and Vindictive

L. Marcus
Re: Statting out a Gamemaster Nah... I think most GMs can get away with just having Cramming. Two Cramming Skills cost the same as ten KSes at 8-. Choose the right KSes, and you're set! Or, or, or KS: Lots Of Trivia at INT+3 for nine points! Dust Raven
Re: Statting out a Gamemaster I would just think that gamemasters would have PS: Gamemaster and that's it. I've known plenty of really excellent GMs that aren't brilliant, aren't good speakers, are horrible actors and have a very narrow scope of knowlege about the rules and/or genre. They're just good arbitrators, fair and attentive to their players. I figure all of that can come right out of a single PS. Of course, Acting, Oratory, Conversation and a 30+ PRE never hurts... For that matter, neither does a KS: Rules.

I'd describe her as: INT: 19 PRE: 20 COM: 20 +80 PRE; Only When Writing (-1) She gets a 19 INT because I am smarter than her and I refuse to hear otherwise.
