Erkenfresh
Re: [Campeign Building] Elves Looks good to me. I'm not a big fan of elves personally. When I run my fantasy campaign, there won't be any. In their place are a cat-people and a lizard-people. Hahaha, screw you elves!

Killer Shrike
Re: [Campeign Building] Elves I kind of figure that Elves deserve a COM bonus AND a hearing PER bonus. I dunno -- the donkey ears are more of COM penalty for me.

Super Squirrel
Re: [Campeign Building] Elves I dunno -- the donkey ears are more of COM penalty for me. And that is exactly why I think racial penalties cover it better than using a bonus to COM.
Zeropoint
Re: [Campeign Building] Elves I'd say it depends on exactly what that bonus is supposed to be for. If Elves are better looking because they're more graceful, have clearer skin, and more symmetrical features (on average) than humans do, then it would make sense for them to have a racial COM bonus. If Elves are supposedly more attractive because they're small, pale, slender, and "willowy", then that might get interpreted differently by different races or even ethnic groups. Dwarves might find them a bit too scrawny, and Orcs might laugh at the very idea that anyone could be attracted to "those pasty-skinned stick people." Besides, everyone knows that Dark Elves are the hot ones.

Erkenfresh
Re: [Campeign Building] Elves Ahh yes, the Tarsier monkey. I've petted a few in the Phillippines. I sure hope they don't evolve into Dark Elves though.

Zeropoint
Re: [Campeign Building] Elves Well, I'd post a REAL Dark Elf pic, but ever since the demise of the "Catsuit" thread, such material is frowned upon. Just try to imagine how hot she'd be if she weren't all chibified.
prestidigitator
Re: [Campeign Building] Elves For some reason, although my imagination can do wonders with them, I have rarely if ever seen an actual rendition of pointed ears that didn't look stupid. Just one of those little, "What the hell?" type oddities.
Lethosos
Re: [Campeign Building] Elves Well, look up Pirotess. That's a Dark Elf from Lodoss. In any case, one of my favorite forms of Dark Elves come from Legends of the Shining Jewel--they're a nomadic desert people, with shadings similar to dharow from the regular books. (They don't exist in the campaigns, though. But they do have nice traits.)
