Grimble
I am building an NPC who is the Blind God of Taxi Drivers. He needs to have area knowledge: Everywhere. How should I build this. Should I go more complicated than AK: Everywhere 25-, or more? Any suggestions welcome. Grimble
ghost-angel
Re: AK: Everywhere Two thoughts: VPP: AK Only or AK: Everywhere 30- or more. Personally, for this I'd go with a VPP he can draw AK from. Techincally not rules legal, but something seen as an example of super-broad skill knowledge in several publications. Ask the GM first. Grimble
Re: AK: Everywhere I am the GM. I was thinking of using a VPP or maybe a limited form of the Universal Scholar from Ultimate Skills, AK only. Grimble
jkwleisemann
Re: AK: Everywhere Or try for a variant on Universal Translator - Universal AK, with a truly obscene roll. Might work. Of course, AK's are generally "harmless" enough that I think it'd be more than safe to go with the VPP route... or to just write them on as they're needed and hand-wave it. OddHat
Re: AK: Everywhere By the rules in Ultimate Skill, Universal Area Knowledge, built and priced as Universal Translator, is fine. See Crossroads from my Young Titans thread for an example in use. AK:Earth at 30- or better is also fine, again by the table in Ultimate Skill. Badger
Re: AK: Everywhere Just to indulge my curiosity. I was wondering being Champions, would your game have any outer space involvement? And second, are you going for the guy knowing about everywhere on Earth, or Everywhere everywhere.
Grimble
Re: AK: Everywhere AK: Earth wouldn't be enough. I do mean AK: Everywhere. Different planets, alternate realities, dimensions... You get the picture.

CrosshairCollie
Re: AK: Everywhere Detect Present Location Detect Destination Detect Fastest Route To Destination from Present Course all with Discriminatory and Analyze and Range on the latter two with SCADS of telescopic (or perhaps Megascale and Transdimensional). freakboy6117
Re: AK: Everywhere how about detect where the passenger needs to be plus mega scale teleport and EDM to get there. the actual traveling is just a special effect of course where the passenger needs to be may not be where they think they want to be and the fare may be a bit higher than they expect. oh and universal area knowledge should be called THE KNOWLEDGE like the grueling training scheme London black cab drivers have to go through. Grimble
Re: AK: Everywhere He's already got HUGE amounts of movement powers. That's a different matter. I am just interested in the best way to show that he KNOWS where you need to go. There have been some interesting suggestions. So far, I'm planning to use Universal Area Knowledge written on the character sheet as Universal Taxi Driver 30- Grimble

Now that is a concept for a TV show if I ever saw one. People get picked up by a taxi driver and he drops them off where they NEED to be rather than where they asked for. All they have to do is work out why they need to be there. Doc

The PCs get on a bus, it takes them where they need to be. After that, it's trying to get home but the bus keeps dropping them off in different whens and wheres. Repped.
