The sceneraio is this: The world is rocked by unusual storms, earthquakes, etc. Eventually, your characters discover this is because Earth is intelligent, and it's pissed at the human race for screwig around with its ecosystems, exploiting its natural resources, and so on. Dr. Anomaly would try to get into communication with it, and see if some kind of negotiation can be done. Failing that (or failing a successful negotiation) he'd see about using some contacts of his to get in touch with a few earth-gods and earth-goddesses and see if THEY can help. Failing THAT (for whatever reason), see if there's some way to transfer the conciousness of the planet to another, nearly-identical world, that does not currently HAVE a conciousness. I'm confident he could do the latter... if given enough time. That begs the question then... what if the conciousness of the planet was NECESSARY for the ecosystem and so on to function properly? Sounds like a problem for the NEXT adventure... after the storms and natural disasters stop... but other problems start cropping up... Wizard would try to get all the gadgeteers to develop methods of relocating humanity to nonsentient locales. Riptide would try to open negotiations with the planet to see whether a livable compromise could be reached. Highguard would have to side with the planet, and for Humanity's own sake, target the worst offenders against the planet relentlessly, cunningly, and intelligently.
