Major Tom 2009
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Captain I DO. protector of marriage. or the evil, Eye Do. Peeping Tom Actually, this is a pic of the outfit worn by the members of an avant-garde musical group which was called The Residents (The Arc was kind enough to save me the time of posting the question of who they were, when he sent me a PM with the name of the group), who preserved their anonymity by wearing tuxedos and top hats, and concealing their faces with giant eyeball helmets. I first saw them when the old USA Network's late-night show, Night Flight, did one of their segments on the group, showing several of their short videos. In most of them, they're wearing black tuxes and hats, but in others, they're wearing the white outfits that are represented by the pic I posted. As to whether or not the band still exists, I couldn't tell you. Major Tom 2009

Major Tom 2009
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Here's another character from the pages of Enemies of San Angelo, also from the entry on the Scions -- their psionic ghost relative, Covert. A casualty of the Vietnam War, he continued to exist as a psionic energy-being who could "possess" other people for a limited time. He's not evil, though, and makes sure that not only do his hosts not come to harm while he's possessing them, he also makes sure that they retain no memory of the possession. Major Tom 2009
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Here are three figures from Greek mythology that, in some respects, were more feared than the gods themselves -- the three Fates. Older even than the gods of the Olympian Pantheon, these three ancient women determined what the fate of every man born was to be -- good or evil, rich or poor -- but their most terrifying choice was to determine how long a man would live...and there was no bargaining with them. Clotho (the Spinner, in the blue cloak and robes) spun the thread of each man's life. Lachesis (the Measurer, in the green cloak and robes) measured the length of each man's life. Atropos (the Cutter, in the gray cloak and robes) cut the thread of each man's life when it was his time to die. The length of time alloted to each man also varied; some would live to a ripe old age, while others would live for a few hours before death claimed them. While the Fates weren't mentioned in Enforcer84's Else Earth thread, they'd make a great addition to a campaign in which the PCs stand a very good chance of en- countering the Greek gods -- and GMs, take note: there'd be nothing like having one of your players meet these three women, and having them make some crypt- ic (and ominous-sounding) statement about his or her fate...and watching said player sweat ICBMs just wondering what you're about to spring on him or her in the future ().
