Diana found an experimental shield, and used it as a weapon to get Steve and a young lab assistant named Donna Barnes out of harm's way. An emergency transfusion of Diana's blood gave Donna simular powers. With Donna as her side kick American Girl, and Steve giving them information on where they would be needed most, Diana Rogers fights the forces of evil as American Woman. Ace work SSGT Baloo.[/quote'] Nothing in her origin suggested more than the whisper of a possibility that she might be connected to Thymiscera (or Amazon Island, or whatever the Amalgamated version of such is called). I considered making her tiara gold with a red star, but there are no red stars on the American Flag. As a patriotic-themed superhero I decided to stick with red, white and blue I'm still awaiting the next character so I can try my hand at another illo.
