jkwleisemann
Eurostar reports delays! While taking a vacation in Europe, a train is trapped in the Chunnel - you have a half-hour before it should be sent on its way, but your character finds out three pieces of information. 1: Eurostar is on-board, and planning something on the other end. Knowing Eurostar, timing is critical, and the event will be both flamboyant and destructive. 2: Several team DNPC's are on board. 3: Somebody on board is suffering from an attack that could kill them if they don't get medical care before the half-hour is up. What would your character do? Free the train and save the innocent bystander, at the risk of letting Eurostar get away to do their damage (or injuring somebody in the firefight that may follow)? Or wait for it to be freed by the emergency staff, risking the life of the bystander in exchange for most likely completely screwing up Eurostar's plans? hfergus
Re: Eurostar delayed! Volt & Black Tiger - do their best to - in order - rescue the innocents and mess with Eurostar's plans. Olorin - if Eurostar is close together t-port them (while invisible) to Antartica (this will at least keep them busy for a while - but then he'd be on their 'list' - "I'm used to that. I've outlived them all.") then t-port the innocents - if his aid (body & stun) did not help. Otherwise see above - innocents first then Eurostar. Futurian - help innocents first. Then mess up all of Eurostar's gadgets and genrally try to mess up their plan.
Shoutybloke
Re: Eurostar delayed! silverbolt: uncouple the carridge with eurostar fromn the rest of the train, then get the rest of the trian back to england. Let the french deal with eurostar.
Metaphysician
Re: Eurostar delayed! How are Eurostar concealed on the train? Private car? Some or all hiding in a baggage car? After all, neither Durak nor Feuermacher can really sit in an ordinary train seat and not be noticed.

Mendou
Re: Eurostar delayed! Pyrie's powers are destructive in nature, so saving anyone's life directly (as opposed to taking out the threat to the person's life) is more-or-less out of the question. She'd therefore have to concentrate on stopping Eurostar and hoping that her teammates can get the innocent bystander to safety/medical treatment. At the very least she'd try to keep Eurostar's members away from any civilians if at all possible.

Vulcan
Re: Eurostar delayed! Dealing with Eurostar at all reminds me of the Kobiyashi Maru. Either you go in and risk loosing half the team (our usual choice - and end result) or you wait for massive reinforcements and watch them get away. Either you go in and risk loosing half the team (our usual choice - and end result) or you wait for massive reinforcements and watch them get away. Depends on how powerful your team is. . . but the more powerful you are, the more likely Eurostar goes for plan "cause mass civilian death", which just switches to a "do you save the bystanders or capture Eurostar" proposition. Egyptoid
Re: Eurostar delayed! Call for Reinforcements. Full Frontal Assault, with as much surprise as possible, on Eurostar. Hit them quickly enough that they can only kill a few hostages before they are fighting for their own lives. Team healer may be able to help sick man...maybe. Odraude
Re: Eurostar delayed! Hmmm... my team would do this: Wraith (Gunmage) William (Telekinetic) Bang (Gambit basically) Adam (Immortal) Adam would distract Eurostar until they realized he cannot die Meanwhile William would hold up Wraith as he takes his sniper rifle and with his X-Ray vision he snipes them one by one with his Phase Bullets. And Bang... would blow up the train...

Drhoz
Re: Eurostar delayed! Vitus of Clan Scorpion would breach the tunnel and go down happy in the knowledge that Scorpia is going to drown at the bottom of the English Channel. ( Have I mentioned he has a Hatred : Total of the bitch? ) Zero would preempt them with a disaster alarm on the train, and thus hopefully screw up the evil plan's timing. A few Mental Illusions on the members of Eurostar might also come in handy. DNPCs are going to have to take their chances, unfortunately - they'd be in much more danger if Eurostar KNEW they were important to us.
