LA Singletary
So more than just recouping endurance I wanted to build out a power where a character shrugs off stun very quickly and keeps coming back. I am thinking about a combo of +2 Speed & +20 REC. The two extra phases can only be used to recover and the +20 REC can only be used when a recovery is taken not a post 12 Recovery. Does this make sense? And how big a limitation are those. Is there a better way to achieve this effect? LA Singletary

LA Singletary I would say -1 on speed, maybe even -1.5, the rec I would call a -1/

Killer Shrike
Re: Superhuman Endurance Or I'd likely just buy Damage Reduction and call it "I recover from damage real fast like".... Ding ding. Limited SPD only for certain types of actions is a warning sign of a bad concept to me, and I practically never allow it unless there is simply no other way to model an ability (and I consider the ability worth modeling). There are many ways to simulate a Superhuman Endurance. Extra SPD is not necessary or even preferable. To represent abnormal STUN, Triggered Heals or Aids to Stun work well as does Damage Reduction. Absorption with the Defense Option feeding into STUN is very tidy. You can also buy STUN Only Defenses. However, just buying more STUN in the first place works great as well. Kenn
Re: Superhuman Endurance The big drawback I would see with the +2 SPD "Only to take recoveries" would be that for two phases per turn the character would be obligated to drop his DCV while he recovered. Matt the Bruins
Re: Superhuman Endurance I think pinecone has the right of it. Either non-resistant Damage Reduction or just buying a high base STUN, with a high REC for getting back spent END quckly.
LA Singletary
Re: Superhuman Endurance Hey all, I was reading through my Hero 5th edition Revised book and noted that Regneration could (with the GM's permision) be utilized for other stats. I worked with the hero designer and came up with a Regneration that worked on both STUN and END. The advantage of this build is regardless of HOW stunned the character becomes they will regain consciousness much much faster. So I guess it would fall on the individual gamemaster and the major influencers would be character concept. The never gets tired never stays down type of hero that just will not quit. Wanted to see if anyone else had thoughts on building it as a Stun/END regen. Thanks much, Lauren A. Singletary
