AnotherSkip
I'm building Supers Characters for my campaign. These characters have a slightly strange divide in my camapign World. I am looking for East Coast Superhero ideas/classics/Icons The East and West coast characters (the mighty Missippi is the demarkation of the characters groupings) are generally pulled to be repersenative of their regions. They should be a quite balanced powerful group of supers that are primarily drawn from the Eastern Iconic ideals (think: good fit for the East Coast Avengers,NYC style Superteams, etc...) (although some like Superman and Batman are slightly more East Coast, Captain America and Wonder Woman would be Universal and they dont have to be just 'Eastern') So Who/what would you think would be a good choice for Inclusion in an East Coast Avengers style Group? csyphrett
Re: Favorite Character East of the Missippi most heroes operate on the east coast. Marvel has ten teams in New York alone. I expect large urban areas would draw heroes like Batman like a bug zapper and moths. CES
kahuna's bro
Re: Favorite Character East of the Missippi writers tend to put their heroes in city the writers are familar with if they don'tuse fictitious cities the best example is the original marvel bullpen when marvel started doing super heroes all their writers and artist all lived in the new york area and since stan lee wanted to use REALcities to base his heroes he chose new york for convieniece when arists living elsewhere were hired their cities where written into stories

Hulk once passed less than 30 miles from where I live in WI.
Clonus
Re: Favorite Character East of the Missippi Heroes with inherited wealth like Wayne and Stark tend to be east of the Mississippi. Also characters who like to swing from skyscrapers like Spider-Man, Daredevil, Batman. And any government sponsored or flagsuit character like Captain America, Liberty Belle, Uncle Sam. Also while the West Coast tends to play host to monster characters, the east coast has more human magicians.

csyphrett
Re: Favorite Character East of the Missippi besides m'sieu lebeau what heroes are in the south? Marvel used to have the rangers based in Texas and parts west, Razorback, I can't think of any specifically for DC. CES

The developing stereotype of New Orleans is that it is spellcaster central.

I'm pretty sure the running stereotype of New Orleans is that it's spellcaster central. But maybe that's just from playing too much Gabriel Knight. Mindscape
Re: Favorite Character East of the Missippi Speaking of Southern superheroes how can we forget Rogue, the Southern Belle of the X-Men. We also have Brother Voodoo...um...Swamp Thing and...someone else I obviously forgot. lol
AnotherSkip
Re: Favorite Character East of the Missippi For the North/south division we have the CAS threads. As far as New Orleans goes& spellcasters where else could you have met a "witch" wandering the streets any day of the week and not have a city based upon southern magic?
