RexMundi
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... Bran cheats. He's a Pict in a Robert E. Howard book.......the only thing comparable to that is the Anime super Esper that has that 1000 point Cosmic Power Pool, one Non recoverable Charge with Duration (long enough to win fight, Charge is Girlfriend, trigger only upon death of Girlfriend)...... Steve's a Real hero, heh. ~Rex.....
Mister E
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... I imagine Conan quaffing a tankard with one hand while the other is planted on Sailor Steve's forehead & said bulldog/seaman furiously punches the air a few feet from Conan's armpit. Lord Liaden
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... Don't see why you wouldn't be on the Esau Cairn bandwagon, then. Ol' Ironhand is a boxer and a savage -- from an REH viewpoint he's the best of both worlds!

RexMundi
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... Hmmmm.....who would make the Cut though for the Robert E. Howard League of Extraordinary Gentlemen .......To follow the format, you need 6 members, and one must be a chick, and then, there should be Sneak, Brute, Shooter, Stabber, and often an Immortal as well....... To narrow the REH family down to a solid 6 though.....bears thought. ~Rex
Susano
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... The Chick should either be Valeria or Dark Agnes. The Shooter is El Borak, the sneak is Bran Mak Morn, the Brute is Kull, the Stabber is Conan, the Immortal is... is... Solomon Kane?
Kharis2000
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... Definitely Solomon Kane. Although, to mix the eras up a bit more and make things more interesting around the campfire, you might swap Sailor Steve Costigan out for Kull. RexMundi
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... I'm going with..... Kirby O'Donnell Sailor Steve Costigan El Borak The Sonora Kid Dark Agnes de Chastillon Professor Michael Kirowan There's the six......The other guys are more prone to solo-ing...... ~Rex

RexMundi
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... If you look at the format for the League though, that list above would work REALLY well for it. ~Rex
Ninja-Bear
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... For the record Conan has brained more than one foe with a beef joint in one shot. Lets face facts, Conan was designed to be the archietype of the Epic Hero. He will win any one on one figthts in the bar. Now given the level of the other characters, if they gang up on him, and if Conan was drunk before the fight, then there is a good chance he be out. Other than that, He will be the last one standing. Mister E
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... Except for Kane, they're all likely to be drunk...
Lord Liaden
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... And Conan has been caught more than once with his pants down (figuratively and literally) and stuporous after heavy drinking and carousing. If this crew has had time to get liquored up before the fight breaks out, it will definitely favor anyone sober, most likely just the Puritan. Oh, speaking of Kane: if we're assembling a League, you might want to consider Solomon's shamanic patron from his African adventures, N'longa. It helps to have a magician around. Or perhaps Conan's wizardly ally-by-necessity, Pelleas.
Ninja-Bear
Re: A Robert E. Howard moment..... And Conan has been caught more than once with his pants down (figuratively and literally) and stuporous after heavy drinking and carousing. True, and he still took out hoards of normals! In fact, after reading a bunch of his stories, the "oh he is drunk" seems like writers fiat to get him captured. Cause he never would when sober! As for the immortal for the league, since Bran Mak Morn could call upon Kull, that could be an anlge to use.
